Shanghai Journal of Acupuncture and Moxibustion 2015;(2):152-154
Objective To compare the clinical efficacies of transverse insertion of a thick needle into point Shendao(GV11) versus conventional acupuncture in treating facial neuritis of different durations.Method Two hundred and twenty patients meeting the inclusion criteria were randomly allocated to thick needle and tradition groups. The two groups separately received corresponding treatment in addition to oral administration of Western medicine. The therapeutic effects were evaluated using the House-Brackmann rating scale and the Portmann's Simple Scale (RPA) for facial symptoms and compared after two courses of treatment.Result The therapeutic effect was better, posttreatment H-B rating scale score was lower and posttreatment RPA score was higher in the thick needle group than in the tradition group; there were statistically significant differences (P<0.05). Different durations of disease affected the therapeutic effect. In the thick needle group, the therapeutic effect was better in the patients in the early stage than in the middle and late stages; there was a statistically significant difference (P<0.05). The cure rate was higher in the patients in the early and middle stages in the thick needle group than in the tradition group; there was a statistically significant difference (P<0.05). Conclusion Transverse insertion of a thick needle into point Shendao has a definite therapeutic effect on facial neuritis. It is safe, easily performed and of an advantage over conventional acupuncture.
2.Application of the detection of heart fatty acid-binding protein to early diagnostic of myocardial injury
Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2006;0(08):-
Heart fatty-acid-binding protein(H-FABP) is small molecular weight cytosolic protein that is abundant in the heart and has tissue specificity. Concentration of H-FABP changes regulation in serum after the myocardial damage. In addition it has a positive correlation with the degree of myocardial damage. It is an early diagnostic biochemical marker of acute myocardial ischemia. The advance of H-FABP in the research on physiochemical nature, and its application for myocardial injury and prospective study of sudden cardiac death in forensic science were reviews.

Objective To study the relationship between GSR and firing distance, and to discuss whether the relationship can be used to estimate the firing distance. MethodsShotting porkets with "5.4" hand gun at the firing distance of 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 120cm respectively, then observing the distributing and element of GSR with SEM/EDX and finally building the equation of regression. ResultsThe relationship between the quantity of GSR and firing distance is linear and the equation is built. When the firing distance is from 10 to 90cm, the result is preferably. ConclusionWe can estimate the "5.4"hand gun firing distance through testing GSR around gunshot wounds.

Objective To investigate the expression of the cytosolic phospholipase A2(c-PLA2),interleukin-1 beta(IL-1?),tissue inhibitor of matrix metalloproteinase-1(TMP-1) in rat brain after injury. Methods The model of traumatic brain injury originally described by Feeney was employed. The mRNA was analyzed by RT-PCR.Results The mRNA of cytosolic phospholipase A2 was increased at 2 hour and its peak was at 7 day.At 14 day,the level of cytosolic phosphalipase A2 mRNA was still in high level as compared to the control group.Likely, the enhancement expression of interleukin-1? was seen at the 1 hour and the peak time was from 5 to 8 hour.At 72 hour,it decreased to normal level. The expression of inhibitor of matrix metalloproteinase-1 was increased at the 2 hour, and the highest expression level was seen during 48 to72 hour.It came down to normal level at 14 day after injury. Conclusion The augment of the expression of the cytosolic phospholipase A2,interleukin-1? and tissue inhibitor of matrix metalloproteinase-1 following traumatic brain injury suggested that they participated in the pathogenesis of the traumatic brain injury, and may played roles in this pathophysiological process.

AIM: To investigate lymphotactin (Lptn) gene transcription during acute cardiac allograft rejection and the inhibitory effect of cyclosporine A (CsA). METHODS: Graft specimens were harvested at indicated time to determine morphological changes by pathological examination. The grade of acute cardiac allograft rejection was evaluated by using modified Banff scoring system. Reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) was used to determine the Lptn mRNA expression in cardiac grafts. NFATc1 activity of splenocytes after transplantation was assessed by enzyme-linked immunoabsordent assay (ELISA). RESULTS: Prominent splenomegaly on day 3 posttransplantation was found in C57BL/6-Balb/c group. The extent of myocardial inflammatory infiltration was scored 2.667?0.577 at day 5 and 2.333?0.577 at day 7, respectively. Splenomegaly was ameliorated by CsA treatment, and the extent of myocardial infiltrate was scored 1.000?0.000 at day 5 and 1.333?0.577 at day 7, respectively. Lymphotactin mRNA was undetectable in cardiac isografts. Lymphotactin mRNA, which was inhibited partially by CsA, was upregulated strongly in acutely rejecting cardiac allografts at day 5 and day 7. Further studies demonstrated that NFATc1 activity in splenocytes, which markedly upregulated during acute rejection, was completely inhibited by CsA. CONCLUSION: Lptn appears to be a key chemokine of lymphocyte infiltration during acute allograft rejection. Inhibition of NFATc1 activity by CsA seems to decrease Lptn expression incompletely, suggesting that there was else mechanism to regulate Lptn expression other than NFAT pathway.

0.05). However, a significant higher percentage of CD3+CD25+ T cells was found in stable liver transplantation group as compared to healthy group ( P0.05). There was not found no regular change of serum cytokine s (IL-6, TN F-?) and adhesion molecules (ICAM-1, P-selectin) in 6 liver transplanted patien ts during post-operation from day 1 to day 30, indicating that was associated wi th the different status of patients before or after transplantation. CONCLUSIONS: Our data suggesting that increased levels of ICAM-1 and P-selectin, appears to participate in the processing of immunoregulation to transplanted livers, whereas elevated concentrations of IL-6 appear to be involv ed in the repair of the injury induced by TNF-? in allo-transplanted livers.
