Chinese Mental Health Journal 2002;0(08):-
Objective:To investigate the possibility and the usefulness of group psychological guidance in mental health education course. Methods:Two classes of the same grade were chosen, one was group psychological guidance class, and the other as control. SCL-90 was used to measure the effect of group instruction. Results:after group intervention, the study group decreased more in SCL-90 total score than control (24.5?7.2/13.4?2.5,t=6.24,P

Chinese Journal of Geriatrics 2001;20(2):111-112
Objective To investigate the relationship of proximal femur geometry and hip fracture in elderly women. Methods We compared proximal femur measurements made from the uninvolved hip of 48 plane anteroposterior pelvis radiographs of elderly women without fracture to those of the contralateral hip in a group of 43 cases with hip fracture. Measurements of Singh index, head diameter(HD), neck diameter(ND), femoral neck length(NL), neck shaft angle(NSA) and cortical thinckness of proximal femur were analyzed. Results The cortical thickness of proximal femur in hip fracture and without hip fracture groups was (10.9±3.1) mm and (13.2±2.9) mm, and the Singh index below Ⅲ° was 86.05% and 66.67%, respectively. No difference in HD,ND,NL and NSA could be demonstrated. Conclusions Singh index and cortical thickness of proximal femur may be used to predict the occurrence of the hip fracture in elderly women.

Objective To investigate the effects of the gene expressions of FAS、FASL、FADD and caspase-8 in esophageal carsinogenesis. Methods Immunohistochemical method was applied to detect the expression of FAS、FASL、FADD and caspase-8 proteins in esophageal epithelium. In situ hybridization method was applied to detect the expression of FADD and caspase-8 mRNA in esophageal epithelium. Results The positive rates of FAS, FADD and caspase-8 proteins and FADD、caspase-8 mRNA were decreased from normal epithelium to dysplasia and carcinoma tissues gradually. The positive rates of FASL protein were increased from normal epithelium to dysplasia and carcinoma tissues gradually. There was very significant statistical difference between carcinoma and normal epithelium(P

AIM:To investigate the relationship between autophagy and calcification in vascular smooth muscle cells ( VSMCs) after platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF)-BB stimulation.METHODS:Cultured VSMCs were stimulated with PDGF-BB for different time, the expression of vascular calcification-related proteins and autophagy-related proteins were detected by Western blot .The interaction be-tween Beclin1 and PI3KC3 was detected by co-immunoprecipitation.RESULTS: The expression of BMP2 and ALP showed a trend from decline to rise.ALP slumped at 12 h, and BMP2 slumped at 6 h.Moreover, the expression of Beclin-1 showed a trend from rise
to decline, and peaked at 12 h.The conversion of LC3-ⅠtoⅡincreased in a time-dependent manner , and peaked at 24 h.The ex-pression of BMP2 and ALP was increased in VSMCs incubated with PDGF-BB and autophagy inhibitor 3-MA, compared with PDGF-BB-stimulated VSMCs.Furthermore, the interaction between Beclin1 and PI3KC3 was enhanced at 6 h after PDGF-BB stimulated, peaked at 12 h, and kept in high level at 24 h.Moreover, the phosphorylation level of Beclin 1 was enhanced by PDGF-BB stimulation, and peaked at 6 h.CONCLUSION:Our findings demonstrate that PDGF-BB-induced autophagy inhibits VSMC calcification by en-hancing Beclin1 phosphorylation and interaction between Beclin 1 and PI3KC3.

Chinese Journal of General Practitioners 2009;8(7):484-485
Fifty-six patients with abdominal wall endometriosis(AWE)were assigned into the proliferous group or the secretory group and the expression of estrogen receptor(ER)in the entopie, ectopic and normal endometrium was investigated. In the proliferous group, the positive ER expression rate on the entopie endometrium(85%)was significantly higher than that on the normal(60%)or ectopie endometrium (58%)(P<0.05).In the secretory group, the positive ER expression rate on the eetopie endometrium (57%)was significantly higher than that on the entopic (26%) or normal endometrium(25%)(P< 0.05).There was significant difference in the entopie and normal endometriilm between the two groups (P<0.01):however,there was no significant diffeFence in the ectopic endometrium.Abnormal ER expression on the entopic or ectopic endometrium may play a role in the pathogenesis of AWE.

The ongoing health reform is bringing reforms of public hospitals under spotlight in China, attracting growing attention onto its progress and roadblocks. Probing into the "three steps" of public hospital system reform in Wuxi, this article analyzed such a reform in the city. It described the measures and initial outcomes gained in such fields as the hospital trusteeship reform, the separation of hospital regulation from its administration, and the hospital board system. Citing the case of Wuxi No. 2 People's hospital as an example, the authors introduced the innovative efforts made in hospital internal mechanism, management innovation, medical service model, hospital connotation construction, and talents cultivation.

The paper described practices in QC management pathway of death cases of the hospital. These refer to intensive education, clarification of access standard, death cases quarterly readings and administrative investigation, strict supervision among others.Authors pointed out that QC pathway can improve quality of care significantly, yet QC pathway calls for fair accountability, systemic care for patient safety, and all-staff involvement in QC improvement.

Ideal blood glucose control requires accurate insulin injections under the guidance of frequent glucose monitoring.Artificial pancreas (AP),the closed-loop control system can adjust the input amount of insulin automatically with the body's blood glucose levels. The AP allows diabetics to control blood glucose ideal, then get the benefit of prevention of complications and bring convenience and safety in clinical application.Accuracy is the key issue of the AP.To improve the accuracy of such a system need to improve the detection accuracy and reliability, increase speed and accuracy of the output control, and improve the accuracy of the system regulation model.

Objective A preliminary study on a new discovered proteomic fingerprint correlated with anxiety disorders, which M/Z range from 15000 to 16800. Methods 221 cases of neoplasm patients from April of 2004 to now were divided into anxious group and non-anxious group according to their scores using self-rating anxiety scale (SAS), and all the patients' sera were detected utilizing SELDI-TOF-MS. The data were analyzed with supported softwares. Results Compared the mass spectra of anxious group(n=49) and non-anxious group (n=172), 2 clusters were captured which M/Z range from 15 000 to 15 380 and 15 700 to 16 800 respectively. The coincidence with SAS was 75.51%. The M/Z range from 15 700 to 16 800 was the most frequent, then the second range from 15 000 to 15 380 and 15 700 to 16 800 which was doublet cluster, the least range from 15 000 to 15 380. The same fingerprints were captured in non-anxious group and their intensity was different. Conclusion The M/Z range from 15 000 to 16 800 was protein fingerprint correlated with anxiety disorders.
