6.EFFECTS OF SOPHORA FLAVESCENS EXTRACT ON SKIN INFLAMMATIONS OF GUINEA PIGS WITH ECZEMA
Modern Hospital 2015;15(5):22-24
Objective To investigate the inhibition of Sophora flavescens extract on the degree of inflammatory swelling of guinea pigs'skin with eczema, observe pathological changes and explore the effects of the anti-in-flammatory action, in order to provide experimental basis for clinical treatment. Methods Eczema models of 40 guinea pigs were set up by smearing 2, 4-dinitrochlorobenzene on their napes to cause sensitization and motivating in the inside of their right ears. All guinea pigs were randomly divided into 5 groups equally, including the model com-pared group, positive control group and high, medium, low concentration groups of sophora flavescens. After eczema skin was continuously administered drugs for 14 days, the same part with equal area of the left and right ears was taken and weighed. The difference between the left and right ears was used to evaluate the swelling degree of skin inflammation. The pathological changes were observed by making pathological slices with HE staining with the tissue blocks of right ears. Results Compared with the model group, the swelling degree of skin inflammation was significantly relieved and dermal edema and inflammatory cell infiltrating were significantly improved in the high and medi-um concentration groups of sophora flavescens (p<0.05).Compared with the positive group, the swelling degree of skin inflammation, dermal edema and inflammatory cell infiltrating were significantly alleviated in the high concentra-tion group of sophora flavescens ( p<0.05) .Conclusion Sophora flavescens extract can effectively reduce inflam-matory response of guinea pigs'skin with eczema, having a certain significance for the clinical treatment of eczema.
7.Attention to the antibiotic resistance caused by bacterial biofilm and its solutions
Chinese Journal of Laboratory Medicine 2014;(10):725-727
Biofilm formation makes bacteria adopt a multicellular lifestyle.Compared to planktonic cells, biofilm-grown cells express an increased resistance to antimicrobial agents.Bacterial biofilm formation is a crucial step in the pathogenesis of many subacute and chronic bacterial infections. In clinical setting, biofilm can cause bacterial biofilm disease and biomaterial associated infection.Understanding the mechanisms involved in biofilm-associated antimicrobial resistance is key to the development of new solutions.
8.Accuracy of tunnel-type template assisting mini-implant anchorage surgery based on multislice spiral computed tomography
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2010;14(26):4920-4923
BACKGROUND: Preplant diagnosis and rigorous implant strategy based on multislice spiral computed tomography (MSCT) imaging can improve success rate of mini-implants as anchorage. Effective application of imaging information in implant anchorage requires reliable tools and methods.OBJECTIVE: To investigate the accuracy of the radiographic and tunnel-type surgical templates assisting implant anchorage surgery and evaluate the clinical significance.METHODS: The transparent radiographic templates were made with occlusal rest to assist MSCT to scan two pigs' skulls locatively. After designed the implant anchorage angles in MSCT images accurately, we made the tunnel-type surgical template by angle data. A total of 32 miniscrews were implanted by surgical template, and the two pigs skulls were rescanned by MSCT. After dissected the pig alveolar process, the MSCT preoperative planning angles, the MSCT postoperative measurement angles and the measurement angles of anatomic bone samples were analyzed statistically. RESULT AND CONCLUSION: The 32 miniscrews were implanted successfully. They did not damage dental roots or surrounding important structures. Compared MSCT preoperative planning angles with MSCT postoperative measurement angles and anatomic bone samples measurement angles, there were no significant differences on axial sections or cross-sections and the r concordance correlations were very good. Results show that the radiographic and the tunnel-type surgical templates are accurate and reliable for operation and will help to improve the success rate of implant anchorage.
9.Correlation of impression depth of umbilical cord around neck with blood flow indexes of umbilical artery and fetus middle cerebral artery
Chinese Journal of Medical Imaging Technology 2017;33(9):1371-1375
Objective To investigate the correlation value between the impression depth of umbilical cord around neck and the blood flow indexes of middle cerebral artery (MCA) and umbilical artery (UA) in fetus. Methods Totally 139 late pregnancy fetuses of umbilical cord around neck and 28 normal fetuses were enrolled in the study. The systolic maximum velocity/diastolic minimum velocity (S/D),resistence index (RI),pulsatility index (PI) of MCA and UA in fetuses were measured by Doppler ultrasound, and the correlation of the pressure trace depth with MCA and UA blood flow parameters were analyzed. Results The pressure trace depth of umbilical cord around neck and the S/D,RI,PI of MCA were positively correlated (one round of umbilical cord around neck,r=0.32,0.32,0.35,two or more rounds of umbilical cord around neck,r=0.71,0.69,0.53,all P<0.05).The pressure trace depth of umbilical cord around neck and the S/D,RI,PI of UA had no correlation.Compared with normal fetuses, the parameters of UA had no significant differences in fetuses with umbilical cord around neck (all P>0.05).The S/D,RI,PI of MCA in fetuses with pressure trace depth ≥0.80 cm and fetuses with two or more rounds of umbilical cord around neck were higher than those of normal fetuses (all P<0.05).Fetuses with two or more rounds of umbilical cord around neck had obviously increased cesarean rate compared with normal fetuses.Compared with normal fetuses, the fetuses with pressure trace depth ≥0.80 cm had increased abnormal fetal heart rate, prolonged labor time during the second stage (all P<0.05).Conclusion In late pregnancy fetuses with umbilical cord around neck, the blood flow parameters of MCA are more sensitive than those of UA.The pressure trace depth ≥ 0.80 cm may lead to intrauterine fetal anoxia.
10.Chemical carcinogen 3’-me-DAB affects proliferation and migration of rat hepatic stem cells
Journal of Third Military Medical University 2003;0(20):-
Objective To explore the relationship between hepatic stem cells and hematopoietic stem cells by detecting the expression of OV6 and CD34 in rat hepatic oval cells. Methods Healthy SD rat were fed with chemical carcinogen 3’-me-DAB for 4 weeks, then the rat hepatic tissue samples were obtained. The rats fed with normal forage served as normal controls. The expressions of OV6 and CD34, specific markers for oval cells and hematopoietic stem cells respectively, in rat hepatic stem cells were detected by immunocytochemical staining (ABC method). Results The oval cells positive for OV6 and CD34 were found in the limiting plate of portal area, mainly located around the Hering canal. In addition, some oval cells positive for OV6 and CD34 were found migrating to hepatic lobule, scattering in the hepatic cords. A great many mononuclear stem cells positive for OV6 and CD34 were also found in the hepatic parenchyma. Conclusion 3’-me-DAB could stimulate the proliferation of hepatic oval cells and hematopoietic stem cells and cause the hematopoietic stem cells derived from bone marrow to migrate to hepatic parenchyma and differentiate.
