1.Analysis of the major bibliometric indexes of the Chinese Journal of Hospital Administration
Chinese Journal of Hospital Administration 1996;0(04):-
Based on data provided by the China Scientific and Technical Papers and Citations Database, an analysis was made of some bibliometric indexes of the Chinese Journal of Hospital Administration over the 2001-2004 period, including total citation frequency, impact factor, citation index, and the proportion of papers based on fund-assisted projects. The result indicates that the journal has high impact factor and total citation frequency in periodicals covered by the China Scientific and Technical Papers and Citations Database, ranking first among periodicals of basic and general medical sciences. This shows that the journal enjoys high academic status and academic impact. It is pointed out that authors of management science papers should pay more attention to cited references and that the number of papers based on fund-assisted projects should be increased so as to raise their proportion in the Chinese Journal of Hospital Administration.

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1986;0(05):-
Stem cells exist not only in the developing mammalian embryo but also in certain areas of various adult tissues. In embryo, they can take part in the development of tissues and the whole organism while in adult, they are thought to be involved in cell metabolism. With the development of research in embryo and nervous system, the field of stem cells has become a hot point in scientific world. A brief summary is made on stem cell biology and its potential medical importance.
4.The expression of placenta growth factor and IL-6 in placentas with different gestational stages and aging placentas
Clinical Medicine of China 2009;25(8):797-800
Objective To study the expression of placenta growth factor(PLGF) and IL-6 in placentas with different gestational period. Methods Immunohistochemistry method was used to examine the expression of PLGF and IL-6 in placentas of different normal gestational periods and aging placentas. Results The positive expression rates of IL-6 in the first, second and third trimester of pregnancy were 60.0%(6/10),50/O%(3/6),42.9%(6/14)and 88.9%(8/9),and the positive expression rates of PLGF were 60.0%(6/10),100.O%(6/6),100.O%(14/14)and 55.6%(5/9) respectively.PLGF expression intensity was significantly different among the third trimester of pregnancy placentas, the first trimester of pregnancy placentas (X2=18.89) and the aging placentas (X2=20.42)(P<0.01 for each).IL-6 was significantly different between aging placentas and third trimester of pregnancy placentas(X2=9.47,P<0.05).No statistical significance were found on expression of IL-6 and PLGF among the three trimesters and aging groups (X2=0.625,0,0 and 1.41,respectively,P>0.05).Conclusions The decreasing expression of PLGF in aging placenta tissue illustrates that the PLGF synthesis and secretion is decreased by trophoblast cells but IL-6 expression is remarkably increased, which may play an important role in the pathogenesis of placental senescence.
5.The protective effects of Dan Shen extract F on the gastric mucosal lesion induced by hemorrhagic shock/reperfusion
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 1989;0(05):-
Models of gastric mucosal lesion were produced by hemorrhagic shock/reperfusion. The results showed that there was significant hemorrhagic lesion in gastricmucosa after the reperfusion; When Dan Shen extract F (DSE-F) was injected intraven-eously, the index of gastric mucosal lesion and intracellular calcium ion content declinedmerkedly (p

Journal of Environment and Health 1992;0(05):-
Objective To study the influence of excessive magnesium and/or deficient calcium intake on the bone mass of ovariectomized rats. Methods Three-month-old ovariectomized rats were fed with different types of drinking water: Interaction group was fed with deficient-Ca and excessive-Mg water: Ca 5 mg/L, Mg 60 mg/L; Excessive-Mg group was Ca 60 mg/L, Mg 60 mg/L; Deficient-Ca group was Ca 5 mg/L, Mg 30 mg/L; Normal group was Ca 60 mg/L, Mg 30 mg/L. After 3 months of treatment, the left femur was measured with the length and weight, then the content of Ca and Mg were determined, right femur was X-rayed, and right tibia was taken for the pathological examination. Results Calcium deficiency in water caused significant changes in all of the bone mass indexes, magnesium excess in water showed a tendency of Ca decreasing and Mg increasing in the bone. It was easily distinguish the difference in bone mineral and bone microstructure by X-ray and pathological examination: control group was the best, then was Mg excess group, Ca deficiency group was inferior, and the interaction group was the worst. Conclusion Calcium deficiency is one of the major reasons of osteoporosis, while the excessive intake of magnesium may not only disturb the bone metabolism but also aggravate the adverse effect of Ca deficiency on bone mineral and bone health.

Chinese Journal of Anesthesiology 1996;0(07):-
Objective To compare the effects of Dan Shen Extract F(DSEF) and cimetidine (CI) on reperfusion injury in gastric antrum. Methods Nineteen Wistar rats were randomly allocated to receiving intravenously normal saline (group NS, n = 7), DSEF 1g/100g wt (group DSEF, n = 6) or CI 6.5mg/ 100g wt (group CI, n = 6 ) respectively. Model of hemorrhagic shock roperfusion injury was produced by Itch method. The index and depth of gastric mucosal lesion, prostaglandins content and intracellular calcium content of gastric antrum mucosa were measured. Results (1 ) As compared with those in group NS, the index and depth of gastric mucosal lesion (grade 2, 3) decreased significantly in group DSEF and CI (P 0.05 ). (3 ) The intracellular calcium content in group DSEF and CI was markedly lower than that in group NS (P 0. 05). Conclusions Both DSEF and CI can prevent largely the reperfusion injury in gastric antrum mucosa through different mechanisms, with DSEF having stronger potency.

Objective To evaluate the effects of different durations of severe acute hypervolemic hemodilution (AHH) on acute lung injury in rabbits. Methods Thirty-six healthy adult rabbits of both sexes, weighing 2.7-3.1 kg, were randomly divided into 2 groups (n=18 each) using a random number table: control group (C group) and AHH group.AHH was performed with 6% hydroxyethyl starch 130/0.4 until the target hematocrit of 20% was achieved in group AHH.Immediately before AHH (T0) , and at 1,2 and 4 h after AHH (T1-3) , blood samples were taken from the right femoral artery for blood gas analysis. The oxygenation index was calculated. The occurrence of acute lung injury (oxygenation index ≤ 300 mm-Hg) was recorded. After blood samples were collected at T1-3 , 6 rabbits in each group were sacrificed, and lungs were removed for determination of wet/dry lung weight ratio (W/D ratio) and aquaporin-1 (AQP-1) expression (by immuno-histochemistry).Results In group AHH, 1 rabbit developed acute lung injury at 1-2 h after AHH, and 4 rabbits developed acute lung injury at 2-4 h after AHH.Compared with group C,W/D ratio was significantly increased at T1-3, and the expression of AQP-1 was down-regulated at T2,3 in group AHH (P<0.05 or 0.01).Conclusion Severe AHH performed with 6% hydroxyethyl starch 130/ 0.4 with the target hematocrit reduced to 20% and the duration > 1 h induces acute lung injury in rabbits.
