1.The Clinical Research on the Treatment of Bronchial Asthma with Qingfeiyin and Bailing Capsule

Objective To observe the clinical effect of the treatment of bronchial asthma with the Qingfeiyin and Bailing capsule.Methods 107 cases with bronchial asthma were classified into a control group and a treatment group randomly.The control group was treated with the Ipratropine (40-80 ug for each time)and the treatment group was glven Ipratropine and Qingfeireyin(50ml for each time)plus Bailing Capsule(30pills for each time).One course of treatment was 2months.Results The therapeutic effect of treatment group was significantly better than the control group(P<0.05).Condusion Qingfeiyin and Bailing capsule has excellent effect in treating bronchial asthma.
2.Comparing of dose distribution between intensity-modulated radiotherapy simultaneous integrated boost and conventional radiotherapy for cervical cancer patients

Objective To assess the feasibility of applying intensity-modulated radiotherapy(IMRT)simultaneous integrated boost(SIB)to replace conventional radiotherapy(CR)plus brachytherapy of whole pelvis in locally advanced cervical eaneer(LACC).Methods Five LACC patients based difference position of uterus were chosen and worked out CR and IMRT SIB plans respectively.Dose distributions were compared between IMRT SIB and CR.Results When uterus was in ante-,neutral-,retro-pnsition and deviation respectively,IMRT SIB could provide enough and homogeneous dose distribution for target volume and reduce irradiated volumes and doses for organs at risk(recta,bladder and small intestine)than CR.The doses of the A,B,and fundus of uterus were higher in IMRT SIB than CR.However,in ease of small intestine was close to or encircled the uterus,the targets volume dose would be inadequacy.Conclusions LACC IMRT SIB's dose distribution is better than CR(except excess ante-position)and may help to treat those patients who couldn't be suitable with brachytherapy.

4.Protective effects of ω-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids on severe sepsis patients with myocardial injury

Objective To investigate the protective effects of ω-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids on severe sepsis patients with myocardial injury.Methods Thirty-one patients with severe sepsis were divided into treatment group (17 cases) and control group (14 cases) by random digits table.All patients received partial enteral nutrition and partial parenteral nutrition with equivalent nitrogen and calorie values for 5 days.The control group was given routine therapy and the treatment group was given routine therapy and ω-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids emulsion.The serum malondialdehyde (MDA),superoxide dismutase (SOD),cardiac troponin Ⅰ(cTnI),N-terminal pro-B urine sodium peptide (NT-proBNP) levels and acute physiology and chronic health evaluation (APACHE) Ⅱ score was compared between two groups before and after treatment.Results There was no difference in indicators before treatment between two groups (P > 0.05).The MDA,cTnI,NT-proBNP and APACHE Ⅱ score in two groups after treatment 5 days was lower than that before treatment 1 day,and the SOD was higher than that before treatment (P < 0.05).The MDA,SOD,cTnI and NT-proBNP after treatment 5 days in treatment group was better than that in control group [(7.50 ±2.06) mmol/L vs.(9.24 ± 1.79) mmol/L,(89.22 ± 16.21) mU/L vs.(76.60 ± 15.13) mU/L,(0.65 ± 0.34)μ g/L vs.(1.03 ± 0.62) μ g/L,(1267.13 ± 279.26) ng/L vs.(1532.47 ± 375.73) ng/L],and there was significant difference between two groups (P < 0.05).The APACHE Ⅱ score was no significant difference between two groups after treatment 5 days.Conclusion ω-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids can reduce the oxidative stress and myocardial injury,decrease cTnI and NT-proBNP levels and improve heart function in the patients with severe sepsis.
6.Impacts of different stimulation cycles on outcomes of intrauterine insemination

Objective To explore the impacts of natural ovulation cycles and stimulation cycles on the outcome of intrauterine insemination (IUI) in order to improve the clinical effects of IUI. Methods 176 women received 384 stimulation cycles. According to different ovulation stimulation protocols , the women were divided into six groups including natural cycle (NC) group, clomiphene citrate (CC) group, letrozole (LE) group;human menopausal gonadotrophin (HMG ) group, CC + HMG group, and LE + HMG group. The pregnancy rate between nature cycles and ovarian hyperstimulation cycles was compared. Results The pregnancy rate was 9.33%in the nature cycle group and 13.27% in the stimulation cycle group, with a significant difference (P < 0.05);and it dif not differ significantly among the stimulation cycle groups (P > 0.05). Conclusions Use of ovulation-induction medications is one of the important factors affecting the pregnancy rate of intrauterine insemination. There are no differences in the outcome of IUI among different ovulation stimulation protocols.
7.Feasibility study of discriminating different solutions using spectral CT imaging

Objective To investigate the feasibility of discriminating different solutions and solutions with different concentrations using gemstone spectral imaging (GSI).Methods Glucose solutions (GSs)with different concentrations (5%,10%,15%,20% g/mL)and 0.9% normal saline(NS)were scanned at a CT scanner with GSI model.Spectral analysis software was used to generate spectral curves of different solutions,representing as CT values on monochromatic images(40~140keV).The same procedure was repeated 3 days later.Reliability analysis with intra-class correlation coefficient (ICC)was used to evaluate the agreement between the twice CT scans.Nonlinear regression analysis was used to generate the regression equation of spectral curves of each solution.One-way ANO-VA was performed to compare the slopes,asymptotes and intercepts of each solution.Results Reliability analysis showed excellent agreements between the twice CT scans for each solution (ICC>0.9).The regression equation was expressed as:f(keV-40)=α-(α-β)×e [-(keV-40)×ρ],where f(keV-40)represented CT values on each monochromatic images,αrepresented asymptotes,βrepre-sented intercepts,ρrepresented slopes of each solution.Statistical differences were found among the slopes of NS and those of GSs with different concentrations (P <0.05),while no statistical differences were found among the slopes of different GSs (P >0.05). The result was highly suggestive that different ingredient solutions demonstrated different shapes of spectral curves.The asymptotes and intercepts of GSs with different concentrations were statistically different (P <0.05).The heights of the spectral curves of GSs elevated with the increase of the concentration.Conclusion Spectral curve with GSI model can be used to discriminate between NS and GSs,or even GSs with different concentrations.It provided a promising potential for in vivo body fluid analyses.
8.The dynamic change of monoamine neurotransmitters and their metabolite in various brain regions of cerebral ischemia reperfusion mice

AIM To determine the dynamic changes of monoamine neurotransmitters and their metabolites in various brain regions of cerebral ischemia reperfusion mice. METHODS Concentrations of monoamine neurotransmitters such as norepinephrine (NE), dopamine (DA), serotonin (5-HT) and metabolites were determined by HPLC-ECD on d 0,1,3,5 and d 20 after cerebral ischemia reperfusion by common carotid artery occlusion. RESULTS The cerebral ischemia reperfusion mice showed decreased concentrations of NE, MHPG, DA, DOPAC, 5-HT and 5-HIAA in various brain regions, especially in hippocampus. CONCLUSION Several neuron systems play an important role in neurons damage of cerebral ischemia reperfusion, especially the NE and DA in hippocampus which is sensitive to the ischemia damage. The data offer useful guides for clinical treatments of cerebral ischemia diseases.
9.NEUROTOXIC EFFECT OF HIV gp120 ON CULTURED RAT DORSAL ROOT GANGLION NEURONS

To investigate the neurotoxic effect of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) gp120 on cultured dorsal root ganglion (DRG)neurons in vitro, dissociated and organotypic mouse embryo's DRG cell culture models were established. Both dissociated and organotypic DRG cultures were treated with HIV gp120 in different concentration (250 pmol/L and 1 nmol/L, respectively, 2 times/7 days). For dissociated DRG cultural cells, microtubule-associated protein 2 (MAP2) immunofluorescent labeling was processed for observing the changes of neuronal cell body and neurites. The change of the ultrastructure in the organotypic cultured DRG was observed by electron microscopy.The difference of the number and length of neurites between the control group and HIV gp120 treated groups were significant (P<0.001),whereas there was no significant difference in the diameter of neurons between them (P>0.05). The ultrastructural changes included the decrease or loss of cristae in mitochondria and accumulation of many high densed particles between the microtubules and the neurofilaments by using both the concentrations of HIV gp120 treatment. The present results indicate that HIV gp120 had a directly neurotoxic effect on the cultured DRG neurons, especially more sensitive to mitochondria.
10.Effects of accumulated 6aCo γ-ray irradiation on the small molecular metabolites in rats urine

Objective To explore the effects of accumulated 60CD,γ-ray irradiation on small molecular metabolites in rats urine.Methods Ten healthy male SD rats were irradiated by 60Co γ-rays in 5 days and the accumulated doses were 0,0.2,0.4,0.6,0.8,1.0 Gy,respectively.The metabolites in urine of different groups were measured with 1 H-NMR combined with principal components analysis (PCA) and partial least square discriminate analysis (PLS-DA). Results The metabolites in rat urine were obviously changed after irradiation. Compared with control group,the amount of acetoacetate decreased after irradiation(t =29.7 -30.7,P < 0.05 ),but its relative level was stable when the dose increased ( P > 0.05 ).Meanwhile,the relative level of hippuric acid increased ( t =4.4 - 21.6,P < 0.05 ) especially when the accumulated dose was higher than 1 Gy (t =21.6,P<0.05). The relative level of proline,taurine and trimethylamine-N-oxide increased after irradiation with the same trend( t =3.5 - 13.4,4.7 - 11.5,2.9- 12.7,P<0.05). Conclusions The acetoacetate,hippuric acid,proline,taurine,and trimethylamine-N-oxide may be applicable for biomarkers of accumulative irradiation on rat.
