1.Construction of data warehouse and decision support system of periodical literature of traditional Chinese medicine

This article discussed the construction methods of data warehouse in terms of the establishment of Chinese medicine journal articles on the demand survey, the data warehouse model design, data extraction, transformation and loading process, and the construction of metadata and data dictionary, and analyzed the application of the data warehouse for supporting decision-making.
2.Current status of Dercutaneous coronary intervention for treating coronary atherosclerotic heart disease

OBJECTIVE: To summarize the recent progress and clinical application of percutaneous coronary intervention and to seek the direction of new developments.METHODS: A computerized online database of Pubmed was searched to identify articles published from May 2000 to February 2009 with the key words of "drug eluting stents, peroutaneous coronary intervention, and coronary disease". There were 154 articles were retrieved by computer, by reading tities and Abstract s, 27% literatures were remained after excluding 74 irrespective papers and 53 repetitive studies.RESULTS: An ideal drug-eluting stent (DES) was comprised of a platform, a drug carrier vehicle and a pharmaceutical compound in harmony with each other. With the ongoing development of DES materials and drugs, more effective DES was introduced in the practice. Recently, clinical data on DES encourage the interventional cardiologist to use DES in more challenging coronary lesions, such as chronic total occlusions, complex lesions and multi-vessel lesions. However, the safety and efficacy of DES need further attention. Therefore, novel strategies including bioabsorbable stents, and pro-healing agents coated stents were promising.CONCLUSION: The development of percutaneous coronary intervention is a breakthrough in intervention cardiology that brings great benefit to patients with coronary disease, especially for restenosis and revascularization. Nevertheless, more endeavour will be necessary to create PCI with high efficacy as well as low risk, and safety and effectiveness of PCI in patients with ST-segment evaluation myocardial infraction and stent fracture prevention need further study.
3.The clinical and laboratorial characteristics of eleven nonsecretory myeloma

Objective To get more understanding on the symptom,and laboratory characteristics of nonsecretory myeloma(NSM).Methods 11 patients with NSM were examined by immunoglobulins IgG,IgA,IgM,IgD,IgE and their light chains,electrophoresis(PE),immunofixation electrophoresis(IFE)and serum free light chain(FLC).Results All 11 patients had more serious bone pains.all had osteolytic bone lesions.All patients were negative in PE,IFE,urine FLC tests.2 newly diagnosed patients had increased serum FLC,abnormal k/λ ratio.1 patient had normal serum FLC and normal k/λ ratio.All 11 patients had more than 30%bone marrow plasma cells.Their overall survivals were same with the typical multiple myeloma(MM).Conclusion Most NSM have more serious bone pains,and osteolytic bone lesions.PE,IFE,urine FLC tests are negative.Newly diagnosed or refractory patients have increased serum FLC,abnormal k/λ ratio,plateau phase patients have normal or reduced serum FLC.Most NSM have more than 30%bone marrow plasma cells.The therapy and prognosis of NSM are same with typical MM.
4.Advances in novel anti-OX40 cancer immunotherapy

OX40 (CD134) is a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptors and mainly expressed on the surface of active lymphocytes.Being an important pair of co-stimulatory factors in the process of immune response, OX40 and its ligand OX40L play an important role in inducing anti-tumor immune response.They regulate the immunosuppressive effect in tumor microenvironment and enhance the killing activities of effector cells.Pre-clinical animal studies have shown that agonists for OX40, whether they are used alone or in combination with other treatments, have stronger anti-tumor effects.Several anti-OX40 agonistic monoclonal antibodies (McAb) are currently tested in early phase cancer clinical trials.This review focuses on the advances in anti-OX40 mAbs-based therapy in terms of molecular and biological properties, mechanism of action, monotherapy and combined therapy.
5.Diagnosis and treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in children and adolescents

With the obesity epidemic,children and adolescents with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)signifi-cantly increased throughout the world,screening and diagnosis of T2DM in the high - risk population is very important. In addition to lifestyle modification,the recommended optimal pharmacologic treatment of children and adolescents with T2DM is Metformin and Insulin. To reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases,should fully understand the comorbidities and complications of T2DM,and take better assessment and management.
6.The clinical epidemiology of preterm infants

Preterm birth is the core issue of neonatology and perinatology researches,and the incidence of preterm birth increasing overall in recent years.With the development of modem health care,preterm birth survival rate has been increasing to some extent,while the prognosis is poor because of serious complications.Epidemiological studies of preterm birth is essential for improving the diagnosis and treatment of premature infants,and this summary introduces the clinical epidemiology of preterm birth through the definition,incidence,related factors,major complication and so on.
7.Evaluation and intervention for early cardiovascular injury in obese children

8.A Clinical Study on Liuwei Nengxiao Capsules Combined with Acupoint Application in Treatment of Functional Constipation

Objective To evaluate the clinical curative effect of Liuwei Nengxiao capsules combined with acupoint application for functional constipation. Methods According to the order of treatment, 105 patients with functional constipation were divided into combined treatment group, Liuwei Nengxiao group and acupoint application group with random number table, 35 cases in each group. Combined treatment group was treated with both Liuwei Nengxiao capsules orally taking and Tongbian Fang acupoint application in Shenque. Liuwei Nengxiao group was treated with Liuwei Nengxiao capsules alone, and acupoint application group was treated with Tongbian Fang acupoint application in Shenque alone. The course of treatment lasted for 10 days. The symptom scores were assessed before and after treatment, to evaluate the efficacy. Results The symptom scores of the three groups all decreased after treatment (P<0.05). The total effective rates of combined treatment group, Liuwei Nengxiao group and acupoint application group were 100%(35/35), 94.3% (33/35) and 88.6% (31/35), respectively, and the clinical effect of combined treatment group was better than that of other two groups (P<0.01). Conclusion The clinical effect of Liuwei Nengxiao capsules combined with acupoint application in treating functional constipation is superior to that of separate applications.
9.Relationship between HVRⅠ mutation of mitochondrial DNA and lung squamous carcinoma

Objective To investigate the relationship between hypervariable regionsⅠ(HVRⅠ) mutation of mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) and lung squamous carcinoma and to explore its significance in carcinogenesis. Methods White blood cells and carcinoma tissues were obtained from 13 cases of lung squamous carcinoma patients and mtDNA were extracted by one step method. HVRⅠfragments were amplified by PCR. Mutations were determined by DNA sequencing. Results In 13 lung squamous carcinoma patients, 8 cases showed mutation in HVR Ⅰ, and 30 mutations were found in 25 different nucleotide sites, in which 17 were point mutations and 13 were insertions and deletions, including a 10-bp deletion in one patient. Conclusion These results suggest that the mutation rate of HVRⅠsequence in lung squamous carcinoma tissue was relatively high, and point mutation might play an important role in lung carcinogenesis.
10.Diagnosis and treatment of hypocalcemia in critical illness children

Hypocalcemia often exists in critical illness children. Most of the sick children do not have an underlying disease of calcium homeostasis, and the mechanism of the hypocalcemia is complicated. Abnormal values of blood calcium may be a sign of critical illness and normalize spontaneously with resolution of the primary disease process. Hypocalcemia may be a autoprotection , and it may be harmful if we try to correct it. This article focuses on the theory and clinical treatment of hypocalcemia in critical illness children.
