Objective To investigate the relationship between osteopontin and urolithiasis. Methods Concentrations of urinary osteopontin and crystal components were determined. Results Relative concentrations of urinary osteopontin in normal, pre and postoperative stone former group were 29.30 ,26.17 and 10.84 respectively. Objective To explore the function of auditory efferent system in the subjects with tinnitus.Methods Effects of contralateral stimulation on otoacoustic emission in 24 subjects with tinnitus were measured for analysis the function of the medial olivo-cochlea system. Results ①The incidence of SOAE 41.7% in 24 normal ears,and 37.5%,20%,33.3% in different groups of tinnitus and the amplitude were suppressed. ②The suppressive amplitude of TEOAE was 2.1?0.8 dB SPL in 24 normal ears and 1.9?0.8 dB SPL in 16 ears with tinnitus, but there was no suppression in 8 ears with tinnitus. ③There were observable suppression in 3 ears, but 2 ears had no contralateral suppression in tinnitus with normal hearing group. 8 ears showed suppression in tinnitus with hearing loss, 2 ears had no changes. 4 ears had no contralateral suppression in tinnitus subjects with low frequency hearing loss.Conclusion The effects of suppression in the normal ears of subjects with tinnitus is as normal subjects, but those different results of suppression in the tinnitus ears indicate that mechanism of tinnitus is multiformity.

Objective To establish a mouse model of acute graft-versus-host disease (aGVHD) after allogeneic bone marrow transplantation,and using exogenous interleukin-7 receptor alpha (IL-7Rα) intervene mice aGVHD and analyse its possible mechanism.Methods The BALB/C (H-2d) female mice as recipients were grouped by rat: the irradiation group (group A),irradiation transplantation group (group B) and IL-7Rα in the intervention group (group C),each 10.ALL mice were accepted 9 Gy60Co total body irradiation.1×107 bone marrow cells and 2×107 spleen cells of donor C57BL/6 (H-2b) via the tail vein were infused to recipient mice.The signs of the recipient mice,hematopoietic functional recovery and survival time of change,and pathology,chimerism and cytokine levels in checkwere observed.Results Mice in A group after irradiation were gradually death,in group B and group C mice after transplantation had typical aGVHD symptoms,but lighter signs and a longer survival time of Group C than in group B.WBC count in Group C was +14 d (4.53± 0.21) ×109/L,+21 d (3.63±0.06) ×109/L,+28 d (4.31±0.04) ×109/L,was hematopoietic recovery compared with Group B [+14 d (1.81±0.05) ×109/L,+21 d (1.32±0.04) ×109/L,+28 d (1.76±0.04) ×109/L],the difference was statistically significant (t =0.237,0.108,0.359,P ＜ 0.05).The pathological results of liver,spleen,skin histopathology in group C were better than group B.Chimera implants,plasma IL-7 levels after transplant +7 d,concentration was significantly increased.IL-7 concentration in group C was +14 d (194.32±1.02) pg/ml,+21 d (131.63±1.54) pg/ml and in group B was +14 d (330.24±8.08) pg/ml,+21 d (184.09±2.05) pg/ml,the difference was statistically significant (t =1.590,1.285,P ＜0.05).Conclusion The stable aGVHD mouse model was established.In aGVHD early,plasma IL-7 levels were significantly increased.Exogenous IL-7Rαcan reduce the plasma IL-7 levels,thereby reducing the incidence of aGVHD after allogeneic bone marrow transplantation.

RESULTS The individual differences of CM absolute amplitudes among the normal hearing ones at different frequencies are distinct, but bilateral CM amplitudes in same person are almost uniform and stable. Enlargedand prolongated CM was found in ears with loudness recruitment .Of 104 cases with unilateral hearing loss, CM were enlarged and prolongated at corresponding frequencies with loudness recruitment in 95 cases(91.3 %).The prognosis of cases with CM type Ⅰ was better than those with types Ⅱ and Ⅲ. The effective rates of treatment were 78.19 % in type Ⅰ , 2.5 % in type Ⅱ, and none in type Ⅲ. There were significant differences among them. CM was slightly enlarged during sleep, and the detected threshold of CM is less than that of the awake condition. CONCLUSION CM offers the reliable information for the mechanism of loudness recruitment and is also useful for understanding the relationship among loudness recruitment, cochlear microphonics and prognosis. CM may be taken as a valuable parameter for evaluating prognosis.

Objective To investigate the biocompatibility between the atelocollagen scaffold and 3D-cultured myocardial cells,and to find out the condition and an optimal biomaterial scaffold that can be applied to 3D-culture myocardial tissue. Methods The primary cultured myocardial cells were purified and then inoculated into the atelocollagen scaffold.The cells in the atelocollagen scaffold were observed by light microscope,scanning electron microscope(SEM) and transmission electron microscope(TEM) at different times(8d,16d,20d). Results On the first day,cardiac cells pulsating together with the atelocollagen scaffold could be detected under the microscope,which were pulsating complex.A plenty of cells in the atelocollagen mesh were observed under the light microscope,and the cells coalesced with the scaffold.The cells were compacted to the scaffold and coalesced with it at three stages under TEM.Those cells were sticked to the atelocollagen scaffold and expanded sufficiently under SEM.On the atelocollagen scaffold surface,these cells coalesced with lamellar.Conclusion The biocompatibility of the atelocollagen scaffold is better for cultured cardiac myocyte.It can be used as a natural material for 3D-cultured cells,and is suitable for 3D-cultured cardiac cells and cardiac tissues.

Objective To compare the effects between the impact of IL-7Rα,bacterial flagellin alone to the acute graft-versus-host disease and the combination of both,and to explore its possible mechanism.Methods The BALB/C (H-2d) female mice as recipients were divided into alone irradiation transplantation group (group A),IL-7Rα intervention group (group B),bacterial flagellin intervention group (group C),IL-7Rα combined with bacterial flagellin intervention group (group D),and 6 mice in each group.All mice were accepted 9 Gy 60Co total body irradiation,and 1×107 bone marrow cells and 2× 107 spleen cells of donors C57BL/6 (H-2b) mice were infused via the tail vein to recipient mice.The symptoms,signs,survival time and hematopoietic function recovery of the recipient mice were observed.Results Mice survival of group A was (22.5±2.30) d,30 d survival rate was 50.0 ％ (3/6),and aGVHD performances inculding the fatigue,anorexia,hair removal,arched,and so on appeared obviously.Survival of group B was (25.83±3.49) d,30 d survival rate was 33.3 ％ (2/6),aGVHD performances compared with group A was lighter.Survival of group C was (26.33±3.52) d,30 d survival rate was 33.3 ％ (2/6),also appeared aGVHD performance,which degree was same to the group B.survival of group D was (30.17±2.86) d,30 d survival rate was 66.7 ％ (4/6),aGVHD performances compared to the other three groups was lightest.The white blood cell count of four groups were reduced to minimum at +7 d,then the three intervention groups gradually recovered.The WBC recovery at 14,21,28,30 day after the transplant of group A compared with slowly was the intervention groups (P ＞ 0.05),WBC recovery of B was roughly equal to group C (P ＞ 0.05),while the WBC recovery of group D was faster than group B or C (P ＜ 0.05).At 2nd week after transplantation,CD3+ T cells was significantly decreased in 4 groups,and at 3rd week began gradually rised.Compared with group A,the proportion of CD3+ cells of other three groups were increased significantly,there was no statistical signifiance of CD3+ cell proportion between group B and group C at 2nd,3rd,4th week after transplantation (P ＞ 0.05),while the CD3+ T cell recovery in group D was faster than group B or C (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions The stable aGVHD mouse model was established.Exogenous IL-7Rα and bacterial flagellin may reduce the incidence of aGVHD.There was no significant difference for aGVHD when they was used alone,but when combination of them,aGVHD is slighter and the hematopoietic recorery is faster.

OBJECTIVE To study the audiological and etiological characteristics of infants failed to pass hearing screening. METHODS 126 infants received audiological diagnostic tests,including auditory brainstem response(ABR),40 Hz auditory event related potential(40 Hz AERP),distortion product otoacoustic emissions(DPOAE),tympanometry and acoustic reflex. The degrees and types of the hearing loss,and etiological characteristics were analyzed. RESULTS Among 126 infants (252 ears),61 were diagnosed with sensorineural hearing loss(48.41%),48 were conductive hearing loss(38.09%),and 17 were found to have normal ABR thresholds(13.49%). The hearing loss was associated with various factors,including history of infection during pregnancy(21 cases),threatened abortion(9 cases),pregnancy with age at or over 35(6 cases),extension of pregnancy(7 cases),history of systematic diseases(10 cases),history of neonatal jaundice(13 cases),history of asphyxia and hypoxia(18 cases),premature and low birth weight neonates(8 cases),neonatal diseases (8 cases),family history of deafness(5 cases),craniofacial deformity(3 cases),central nervous system disorder(6 cases),and 9 cases were second child. CONCLUSION The infants who failed to pass hearing screening have various etiology characteristics in hearing loss. The infants associated with risk factors were mostly found to have sensorineural hearing loss.

Objective To implement and evaluate evidence-based guidelines for enteral nutrition support in acute stroke patients with dysphagia.Methods This study is a prospective before and after comparison study.Collected 200 acute stroke patients with dysphagia and divided them into test group (trained medical staffs) and control group(untrained medical staffs) equally according to the time order.Two groups of 100 patients were surveyed using a checklist before and after implementation of 10 guidelines about nutrition support.Before the implementation of guidelines,the staffs were enforced training,and summarized regularly.Compliances with guidelines by doctors and nurses were compared,and outcomes of patients were assessed.Results Compared with the control group,the correct implementation of the project significantly improved in the experimental group on nutritional risk screening (92.0％,64.0％; x2 =22.840),nutritional supplements selection (80.0％,48.0％; x2 =22.220),nutrition infusion methods (90％,18％ ; x2 =1.040) and nutrition infusion adjustment (abdominal distension/adjusted:21/10,6/4;x2 =9.634,constipation/adjusted:41/40,57/53 ; x2 =5.122,all P ＜ 0.05).The mortality rate,poor prognosis and length of stay in department of neurology intensive care unit and in hospital were not significant different between the experimental group and the control group.The incidence of hospital-acquired pneumonia was significantly lower in the experimental group (44.3％) than that in the control group (67.5％,x2 =7.281,P =0.007),but other patient outcomes were unaffected significantly.Conclusion Implementation of evidence-based guidelines for enteral nutrition support in acute stroke patients with dysphagia is associated with improvements in clinical quality and selected patient outcomes.

OBJECTIVE: To analyze the monosyllabic and sentence lists of Mandarin speech test materials (MSTMs) which have been evaluated the equivalence of difficulty, and to establish the performance-intensity function (P-I function) for people with normal hearing. METHOD: Forty subjects (the age-ranged from 18 to 25 years old) who speak Mandarin well in their daily lives with normal hearing participated in this study. Eight of them joined the pilot study, which aimed to identify an appropriate presentation level for the formal test. Thirty-two subjects participated in the formal speech perception test. The results were analyzed by Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) software version 11.0. Seven monosyllabic lists (50 words per list) and 15 sentence lists (50 key words per list) were used. RESULT: The results showed P-I function of 3.1% per dB for monosyllabic Mandarin materials and 7.4% per dB for sentence Mandarin materials. The sound pressure level of speech corresponding to a 50% recognition score for monosyllabic lists was 30.1 dBSPL or 10.1 dBHL, and 23.1 dBSPL or 3.1 dBHL for sentence lists. CONCLUSION The study established the P-I function of the Mandarin monosyllabic and sentence materials with equal difficulty, which provides the normative data for identifying the normal hearing in a clinical setting.

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the abilities speech perception of post-lingual cochlear implant patients by Mandarin Hearing In Noise Test(MHINT), get the performance-intensity function (P-I function). METHOD: The material was MHINT adults' version, including 12 lists, 20 sentences per list. Twenty-two cochlear implant patients were the subjects, age from 14 to 56. Three adaptive rules were used during the test. Firstly Rule 3 would be done. If subject could finish the test, then Rule 2 and Rule 1 would be used. Got the Reception threshold of sentences and speech recognition score of subjects, then got performance-intensity function (PI function). RESULT: Among those 22 subjects, 5 of them could be tested in all three rules, 3 could be tested in Rule 2 and Rule 3, 7 of them could be tested with Rule 3, and 7 of the CI users could not be tested even with Rule 3. All of the PI functions for CI users are shifted 10 dB or more above the normal PI functions. Most CI users thought that MHINT was hard for them. CONCLUSION When use new adaptive scoring rules for MHINT, most CI users could be tested with the modified HINT scoring rules, although three subjects could not be tested. Compared with normal hearing subjects, all CI users required positive S/N ratios to perform the HINT measures.
