Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of stuck-moving needling plus modified Bu Zhong Yi Qi (supplementing qi in the middle energizer) decoction in treating gastroptosis due to qi deficiency in the middle energizer. Method Sixty patients with gastroptosis due to qi deficiency in the middle energizer were randomized into a treatment group and a control group, 30 cases in each group. The treatment group was intervened by stuck-moving needling plus the modified Bu Zhong Yi Qi decoction, while the control group was treated with the modified Bu Zhong Yi Qi decoction alone. The two groups were treated once a day, 20 sessions as a treatment course. The lower limit of the stomach was measured before and after the treatment in the two groups, and the clinical efficacy and long-term efficacy of the two groups were compared.Result The height of the lower limit of stomach was significantly changed after the treatment in both groups (P<0.01), there was a significant difference in comparing the height of the lower limit of stomach between the two groups after the intervention (P<0.01), and there was a significant difference in comparing the change of the height of lower limit of stomach between the two groups (P<0.01). The total effective rate was 93.3% in the treatment group versus 73.3% in the control group, and the between-group difference was statistically significant (P<0.01); the clinical efficacy in the treatment group was statistically different from that in the control group (P<0.05). The long-term total effective rate was 76.7% in the treatment group versus 50.0% in the control group, and the between-group difference was statistically significant (P<0.01); the long-term clinical efficacy in the treatment group was statistically different from that in the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion The stuck-moving needling plus modified Bu Zhong Yi Qi decoction can produce a more significant efficacy than the decoction alone in treatinggastroptosis due to qi deficiency in the middle energizer, and its long-term therapeutic efficacy is also consistent.

Objective To evaluate the effect of comprehensive schistosomiasis control measures based on infection source control in plateau mountain areas of Yunnan Province. Methods From 2006 to 2004,four administrative villages were selected as test areas from plateau canyon and plateau basin endemic areas in Jindun Town,Heqing County,two villages each type,and the comprehensive control measures were implemented,including the examination and treatment of schistosomiasis,Oncomela?nia hupensis snail survey and control,health education,improving drinking water and lavatories,banning grazing,constructing sanitary pen of livestock,replacing cattle with machine,etc. The schistosome infection state and snail status in 2006 were treat?ed as the baseline information,and the effect of the comprehensive measures were evaluated. Results The infection rate of hu?man in plateau canyon areas decreased from 4.94%in 2006 to 0.06%in 2014,and that of livestock decreased from 1.11%to 0. In plateau basin areas,there was only 1 case of schistosomiasis found in Xiaolian Village in 2007,and no any other cases found in the other years,the infection rates of livestock dropped from 7.38%to 0. Compared with 2006,the snail areas in the two type areas decreased by 74.89%and 75.30%,respectively,meanwhile,the percentage of snail area,the occurrence rate of frames with snails,as well as the average density of living snails also decreased,and no infected snails were found since 2008. Xidian and Xinzhuang villages in plateau canyon area reached the criteria of schistosomiasis transmission controlled in 2009,and Xiao?lian and Kangfu villages in plateau basin reached the criteria of transmission interrupted in 2014. Conclusions The comprehen?sive schistosomiasis control measures based on infection source control can effectively control the endemic situation of schistoso? miasis in plateau areas of Yunnan Province. In the future,we should pay an equal attention to the infection sources control and snail control to consolidate and amplify the achievement of schistosomiasis control.

Objective To understand the epidemiologic characteristics of injury among adults in Guizhou province.Methods A questionnaire survey was conducted among 9 280 residents aged ≥ 18 years selected though multistage cluster random sampling in Guizhou to collect the information about their demographic characteristics and incidence data of injury.Logistic regression analysis was done to identify the risk factors.Results The incidence of injury was 3.5％ in the adults surveyed (3.6％ in males,3.4％ in females).The incidences of injury in both urban area and rural area were same (3.5％).The incidence of injury was 3.9％ in age group 18-44 years,2.7％ in age group 45-59 years,and 3.5％ in age group ≥60 years,the differences among different age groups were statistically significant (x2=7.949,P=0.019).The top three injury causes were fall (35.0％),road traffic accident (20.0％) and animal bite (19.2％).The top three injury causes in the elderly were fall (59.3％),animal bite (22.0％) and sharp instrument cut (10.2％).Among the elderly,the incidence of road traffic injury was higher in males (1.1％) than in females (0.3％),the difference was statistically significant (x2=18.156,P=0.000).The incidence of fall in urban area (1.6％) was higher than that in rural area (1.1％),the difference was statistically significant (x2=4.616,P=0.032).Drinking and drunk driving,fatigue driving,smoking and gender were the influencing factors for injury.Conclusion Injury related high risk behaviors were common in adults in Guizhou,it is necessary to develop effective intervention measures to prevent injury.

OBJECTIVETo understand the fast plasma glucose (FPG) level and the epidemiologic characteristics of diabetes in ethnic Han residents of Guizhou province.

METHODSThe survey was conducted among the ethnic Han residents aged 20-80 years, who were selected through multi stage cluster sampling in Guizhou. Basic laboratory test, physical examination were performed for each subject.

RESULTSA total of 2 967 subjects were surveyed. The average FPG level was 5.21 mmol/L for urban residents and 5.03 mmol/L for rural residents, (P<0.001) and the average FPG level was higher in males than in females (5.23 mmol/L vs. 5.09 mmol/L, P=0.003). The FPG level increased with age (P<0.001). In urban residents, the standardized prevalence of diabetes was 6.01% (crude prevalence: 7.45%), higher in males than in females (P<0.001) and increased with age. In rural residents, the standardized prevalence of diabetes was 3.47% (crude prevalence: 3.77%) and increased with age, but there was no sex specific difference in diabetes prevalence. The awareness rate of self diabetes status was 56.59%, the treatment rate was 84.47% and the plasma glucose control rate was 41.38%. Multiple logistic regression analysis indicated that risk factors for diabetes included being male, older than 40 years, family history of diabetes, frequent physical exercise, hypertension, high triglycerid level.

CONCLUSIONThe prevalence of diabetes was high in ethnic Han residents in Guizhou, the differences in diabetes prevalence between urban area and rural area was statistical significant. More than half of the patients' FPG level had not been under control after treatment. The awareness rate of self diabetes status, the treatment rate and the control rate of diabetes should be improved.
