Chinese Journal of Postgraduates of Medicine 2011;34(33):21-22
ObjectiveTo observe the intraoperative techniques of artificial nasolacrimal duct and evaluate the effectiveness.MethodForty-nine cases(56 eyes) ofchronic dacryocystitis underwent artificial nasolacrimal duct placement. The artificial nasolacrimal duct was dilated and the stent was retrogradely placed.Dacryocystography was performed before operation.ResultsArtificial nasolacrimal duct placement was technically successful in 53 eyes(94.64%),improvement rate was 3.57 % (2/56).The total effective rate was 98.21%(55/56) after operation.ConclusionInterventional artificial nasolacrimal duct placement is a safe, simple and effective method for the treatment of chronic dacryocystitis.
2.The relationship between human adiponectin gene polymorphism of Guangxi Zhuang ethnic group and gestational diabetes mellitus
Journal of Chinese Physician 2014;16(9):1221-1223
Objective To investigate the association of single nuchotide polymorphism (SNP) + 45 T/G and + 276 G/T in the adiponectin gene with type 2 diabetes in Guangxi Zhuang pregnant women. Methods Polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) method was used to determine the distributions of allele and genotype frequencies of SNP + 45T/G polymorphism and SNP + 276 G/T polymorphism in adiponect in gene in 98 type 2 diabetic patients and 135 normal control subjects. Results The TG,GG genotype frequencies of the SNP +45T/G were higher in gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) than those in controls (P < 0.05).The G-allele frequency was significantly higher than those in controls (P < 0.05).The distribution of genotype and allele frequencies of the SNP + 276 G/T polymorphism was not different in diabetes and control groups (P > 0.05).Women carrying the TG and GG allele of SNP +45T/G showed higher TG (P <0.05),and lower APN levels than those with TT genotype (P <0.05).Conclusions G allele of SNP +45T/G was related to GDM possibly.T→G variation might involve in the occurrence of GDM by reducing serum diponectin levels.Monitoring this site in pregnant women could predict the risk of GDM.
3.Effect of Different Concentrations of Dextrose Transfusion on Cerebral Glucose Metabolism in Pediatric Neurosurgical Operations
Tianjin Medical Journal 2010;38(1):29-31
Objective: To investigate the effect of different concentrations of dextrose transfusion on cerebral glucose metabolism in pediatric neurosurgical operations. Methods: Sixty anesthetized children undergoing selective cerebral tumor resection were randomly divided into three groups: Ringer lactate solution group (A, n = 20), 2.5% dextrose lactated Ringer's solution group(B, n = 20), 1% dextrose lactated Ringer's solution group (C, n = 20). All the hemodynamic data were recorded during anesthesia. The values of blood glucose and lactic acid were collected before intubation(T_a), 2 hours after opening cerebral dura mater (T_b) and the end of operation (T_c). The catheters for microdialysis were punctured into normal brain tissue. The contents of glucose and lactic acid were determined in the collected intercellular fluid by biochemical analysis instruments at T_A and T_B respectively. Results: There were no differences in heart rate(HR), mean arterial pressure(MAP) and arterial oxygen saturation (SpO_2) among three groups(P > 0.05). There were no differences in blood glucose at T_a between three groups(P > 0.05). The values of blood glucose at T_b and T_c were B group>C group>A group(P < 0.05). The values of blood glucose were higher at T_b and T_c than that of T_a in three groups(P < 0.05). There were no differences in blood lactic acid among three groups(P > 0.05). There were no significant differences in values of glucose and lactic acid in the collected intercellular fluid among three groups(P > 0.05). Conclusion: Transfusion of Ringer lactate solution or low concentration dextrose solution will increase blood glucose in pediatric neurosurgical operations, but still in the normal range, which has a little influence on blood lactic acid, glucose and lactic acid in brain intercellular fluid. It is a safe choice during neurosurgical operation.

8.Progress in study of antioxidant effects of Coptis chinensis and its major contributions to diabetes treatment/therapy.
China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2015;40(12):2285-2288
Coptis chinensis, a traditional Chinese medicine, has been found to have multiple pharmacological effects recently. Some research showed that C. chinensis has antioxidant effects, including scavenging oxygen free radicals, alleviating lipid peroxidation, enhancing activity of antioxidant enzymes, et al. C. chinensis may inhibit several classical pathological pathways in diabetes. C. chinensis is a potential medicine to prevent and treat diabetes mellitus and its complications. This review focuses on the recent research progress in the study of antioxidant effects of C. chinensis and its major contributions to diabetes treatment/therapy.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 1994;0(04):-
Objective To investigate clinical significance of proinsulin and true insulin in obese children with impaired glucose tolerance (IGT).Methods There were 21 IGT and 52 normal glucose tolerance (NGT) children. Control cases were 40 normal children. The levels of serum fasting proinsulin, true insulin,insulin,c-peptide and glucose were measured in all the subjects. Results 1.Levels of fasting proinsulin,c-peptide, glucose, insulin, true insulin and homeostasis insulin resistance in obese children with IGT showed significant difference compared with NGT (P

Objective: To study the inhibitory action of Jiangru Power on rat prolactinoma induced by diethylstilbestrol. Methods: Prolactinoma Rat models were prepared by embedding estrogen subcutaneously. Then they were randomly divided into three groups, respectively given intragastric administration of placebo,Jiangru Power and Norprolac. After four weeks of treatment, all the animals were executed. Each pituitary gland was weighed.Serum prolactin(PRL) levels were measured by RIA method.Pituitary tumor transformed gene(PTTG) mRNA levels in pituitary tissue were measured by RT-PCR method. Results: The weight of pituitary gland and serum PRL level in Jiangru Power or Norprolac group all were obviously lower than those in placebo group(P
