2.Research progress on early diagnosis of gastric cancer with liver matastasis
Cancer Research and Clinic 2013;(1):65-66
Gastric cancer is the common malignant tumor of digestive tract, and liver metastasis in patients with advanced gastric carcinoma is the most common cause of death. The early diagnoisis of Liver metastasis of gastric cancer in patients with early diagnosis would help to improve the patient' s quality of life and prognosis.Briefly review the blood, imaging and pathological biopsy method in early diagnosis of liver metastasis of gastric cancer. However it is difficult for this.Researchers over the world should have more exchanges in order to develop guiding principles in the end.
3.The functional preservation treatment progress of laryngeal cancer and hypopharyngeal cancer
China Oncology 2013;(12):942-948
The management of laryngeal cancer and hypopharyngeal cancer has fundamentally changed over the recent years. The optimum treatment protocols should pay close attention to the survival rate and function preservation. The purpose of this article we aimed to define the prevalence of intervention of laryngeal cancer and hypopharyngeal cancer, such as open operation, CO2 laser and non-invasive treatments, and measures that may facilitate standardization of such practices.
5.Serum levels of triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells-1 and inflammatory factors in patients with acute pancreatitis and its clinical values
Chinese Journal of Pancreatology 2010;10(2):89-91
Objective To determine the serum levels of triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells-1 (TREM-1), analyse its relationship with inflammatory factors, and explore its clinical values. Methods Serum concentrations of TREM-1, TNF-α, IL-8 and IL-1β in 19 patients with early acute pancreatitis (AP) were measured by enzyme-linked immunoadsorbent assay and the relationship among them was analyzed, and it was compared with those of 20 normal controls. Results In patients with early AP, serum levels of TNF-α, IL-8, IL-1β and TREM-1 were (52.26±12.98) pg/ml, (20.18±9.81) pg/ml, (35.57 ± 13.34) pg/ml and (83.09 ± 32.49) pg/ml;while they were (18.69 ± 6.42) pg/ml, (9.81 ± 4.80) pg/ml, (14.94 ± 5.16) pg/ml and (8.44±8.42) pg/ml in control group, and there was significant difference between the two groups (P < 0.01). TREM-1 was positively correlated with other inflammatory factors in patients with early AP, and it had a sensitivity of 77.8%, specificity of 70.0% for prognosis prediction, which was better than TNF-α, IL-8, IL-1β. Conclusions TREM-1 may influence the leveLs of inflammatory factors and to some extent predict the early prognosis of AP.
7.Biosafety and biocompatibility of a variety of biological materials
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2009;13(38):7559-7562
OBJECTIVE: To discuss the biosafety and biocompatibility of biomaterials. METHODS: A computer-based online search of CNKI, CBM and VIP as well as manual search were performed to collect articles about random cell control experiments and animal experiments of biological material biocompatibility published between 1990 and 2008. A total of 28 Chinese literatures were collected, and 7 were included mainly involving the cytotoxicity test methods and blood compatibility of the experimental medium, experimental grouping, experimental materials, methods of observation, experimental results, and experimental conclusion. In addition, biocompatibility of the biological material was analyzed to summarize the biocompatibility of the biological safety. RESULTS: Based on experiments of biosafety and biocompatibility of biomaterials, the cytotoxicity test and blood compatibility of various biomaterials, such as collagen, chitosan, magnetic nanoparticle, metal vascular stent, sulphurated siliastic medical grade silicon rubber, polyurethane, ceramic coatings by micro-arc oxidation, are essential for the biological safety. The experimental results have shown that the biomaterials have good biocompatibility. CONCLUSION: A variety of biological materials present good biocompatibility, including collagen, chitosan, magnetic nanoparticle, metal vascular stent, sulphurated siliastic medical grade silicon rubber, polyurethane, ceramic coatings by micro-arc oxidation, based on the evaluation criteria.
9.Advances in research on microRNA-21 in colorectal cancer
Chinese Journal of Clinical Oncology 2014;(24):1616-1618
Colorectal cancer (CRC) is one of the most common digestive system neoplasms in China. Recently, the morbidity and mortality rates of CRC continue to increase with the improvement of people's living standard and the change of the dietary structure. It was accepted that the etiology of colorectal cancer is a multi-factor and multi-step process. However, the mechanism of CRC is still unclear. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are a class of -21 nucleotide non-coding RNAs and function as a negative regulator of gene expression after transcription, participating in tumor angiogenesis, tumor cell proliferation and invasion. MicroRNA-21 (miR-21), as an important oncogenic RNA, plays a vital role in the development and progression of CRC. This review summarizes the advances in research on miR-21 in colorectal cancer.
10.Effect of Electroacupuncture at Bilateral Points Quchi on Blood Pressure Variability in Hypertensive Disease Patients
Shanghai Journal of Acupuncture and Moxibustion 2015;(11):1059-1061
Objective To investigate the effect of electroacupuncture at bilateral points Quchi on blood pressure variability in hypertensive disease patients. Methods One hundred and two patients were randomly allocated to treatment and control groups, 51 cases each. Methods The treatment group received electroacupuncture at bilateral points Quchi and the control group, no treatment as a blank control. Twenty-four-hour dynamic blood pressure and blood pressure variability were observed in the two groups of patients. Results There were statistically significant post-treatment differences in 24-hour systolic pressure standard deviation (24 hSSD), daytime systolic pressure standard deviation (dSSD) and night systolic pressure standard deviation (nSSD) between the treatment and control groups (P<0.05). There were no statistically significant post-treatment differences in 24-hour diastolic pressure standard deviation (24 hDSD), daytime diastolic pressure standard deviation (dDSD) and night diastolic pressure standard deviation (nDSD) between the treatment and control groups (P>0.05).Conclusion Electroacupuncture at bilateral points Quchi can reduce systolic pressure variability in hypertensive disease patients.
