1.The value of ultrasonography in the differential diagnosis for TTTS and sIUGR
Acta Universitatis Medicinalis Anhui 2015;(11):1702-1704,1705
12 patients with inconsistent growth of twins were involved. The acoustic features were analyzed,inclu-ding 2D and Doppler images. The differential diagnosis was verified during follow-up exam in some patients.8 cases were diagnosed with sIUGR by ultrasonography, meanwhile 3 were diagnosed with TTTS.The rest 1 case could not be etiologically diagnosed due to the bad image conditions. We can differentiate the two diseases by evaluating the umbilical cord insertion, the amiotic fluid and the hemodynamics of the other twin.Ultrasonography is helpful in the differential diagnosis for TTTS and sIUGR.

Objective To detect a quantitative relation between reaction time of substance P (SP) and histamine release of mast cells (MC) in hypertrophic scar (HS) and discuss the interaction and time-effect of substance P and histamine release in HS. Methods The HS specimens were from the 4 to 7-year-old scalded or burnt patients who underwent operation because of cicatricial contraction. The normal skins were the autograft. HS specimens were cut into 0.5-1 mm 3, then treated with 5?10 -5 mol/L SP for 5, 15, 30, 60 min. The degranulation of MC was detected and the histamine released by mast cells in the supernate after SP treatment was examined by immunofluorescence. Conclusion SP and MC are of a close relationship in HS, and SP can affect histamine release of mast cell in time-dependent manner.

It is the most important mission that preserving and developing advancement of TCM theory and practice. We need defi nitive medical standard to standardize the development.Whether there was any standards in the history of traditional Chinese medicine is a hot question.Though the history research,we found that TCM classic literature was the medical standard in ancient China, which was confirmed by Tang-song government though official action. The standard teaching materials promoted the communication and development of TCM.After Song dynastythe standard position and function was strengthened continuouslywhich had a profound effect.
8. Retrospective study of 125 patients with Takayasu arteritis
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2010;30(8):932-936
Objective: To study the clinical features, image findings, therapeutic strategies, and prognosis of adult and juvenile patients with Takayasu arteritis (TA). Methods: The clinical data of 125 patients with TA were retrospectively studied. Results: There were 108 female and 17 male patients. The mean age of onset was (26.9±11.0) years and 31 patients were younger than 18 years at onset. Constitutional symptoms, pulse deficit, and elevated erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) were present in 38.4%, 71.2%, and 49.6% of patients, respectively. Compared with adult patients, the incidences of constitutional symptoms, pulse deficit and elevated ESR were lower in juveniles(P<0.05). Angiographic findings showed that Type I(40%), Type IV (20.8%) and Type V (30.4%) were common, and Type IIa (4.8%), Type IIb (1.6%) and Type III (2.4%) were seldom seen. Type I was more frequently seen in adult patients than in juveniles(P<0.05). Biopsy findings of 12 patients with quiescent disease showed active lesions in 7 patients. Eighty patients were followed up for a median duration of 36 months. Glucocorticoid was prescribed to 58 patients; cytotoxic agents were required for 16 of them; and remission was achieved in 57 patients. Bypass and endovascular interventional procedures were performed in 36 and 21 patients, respectively. Restenosis occurred in 34.7% of bypass procedures and 77.3% of endovascular interventional procedures. Conclusion: Diminished pulse is rarely seen in juvenile TA patients than in adults. Active vascular disorders may exist in patients with stable clinical manifestations. The incidence of restenosis is higher in endovascular interventional procedures than in bypass procedures.
