ObjectiveTo explore the effectiveness of two ways in the treatment of peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC)-related eczema. Methods Fourty patients with PICC-related eczema were randomly assigned to control group and experiment group. Both were treated by wet dressing with gentamicin and dexamethasone mixture.Differently, the PICCs in the control group were fixed with IV3000 transparent dressing, while those were fixed with silver ions wound dressings in the latter. They were prepared in terms of curative effect and healing time.Result The cure rate in the experiment group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.01) and the healing time was significantly shorter (P<0.01).Conclusion The silver ions wound dressing combined with gentamicin and dexamethasone mixture in the treatment of PICC-related eczema is effective and simple.
