2.Advances in the pharmacological study of Morus alba L.

Morus alba L. (mulberry) is a well-known deciduous tree, belonging to the genus of Morus of Moraceae famlily. Its leaves, twigs, roots (bark) and fruits are widely used in the traditional Chinese medicine. The active constituents of mulberry contained flavonoids, alkaloids, steroids, coumarins, with the significant hypoglycemic, hypolipidemic, antihypertension, anti-oxidation, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-tumor and immunomodulatory activities. This review summarized the research progress of the major pharmacological activity, pharmacokinetics and drug-drug interaction based on CYPs and transporters of mulberry and its active constituents.

3.Reflections on strengthening of medical humanity education

4.Study on Method of Expanding and Culturing Rat Mesenchymal Stem Cells in vitro and Its Biological Characteristics

[Objective] To establish a method to seperate rat mesenchymal stem cells(rMSCs) from rat marrow, culture rMSCs in vitro, and study its biological characteristics. [Methods] rMSCs were seperated from rat marrow with wall-sticking method and expanding cultured in vitro. To draw the growth curves of cells at 1th, 3th, 5th passage, detect the surface antigens with flow cytometry. To evaluate the effect of fetal calf serum with different concentrations to rMSCs. [Results] There were approximately (5~6)?105 cells after primary culture and over (2~3)?108 rMSCs at 5th passage. The appearance of rMSCs is like shape of spear and its growth curves are like shape of S. The rMSCs were positive for CD90 and negative for CD45. [Conclusions] Cells seperated and cultured by the method established in this experiment were rMSCs. They have the biological characteristics of rMSCs, and are good resources for study in tissue engineering.
6.Exploration and demonstration study on drug combination from clinical real world.

Drug combination is extensive in the clinical real world,which is an important part and the inherent requirements of the post-marketing evaluation of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). The key issues and technology include multi-domain and multi-disciplinary such as the rationality, efficacy and safety evaluation of combination drug starting from clinical real world, study on component in vivo and mechanism of combination drug, the risk/benefit assessment and cost-benefit evaluation of combination drug and so on. The topic has been studied as clinical demonstration on combination therapy of variety of diseases such as coronary heart disease, stroke, insomnia, depression, hepatitis, herpes zoster, psoriasis and ectopic pregnancy. Meanwhile, multi-disciplinary dynamic innovation alliance of clinical drug combination has been presented, which can promote the academic development and improving service ability and level of TCM.

7.Relationship between mathematical characteristics of cardiotocography in electronic fetal monitoring and neonatal acidemia

Objective To explore the relationship between mathematical characteristics of cardiotocograph in electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) and umbilical blood acidosis,and help to evaluate the clinical significance of indeterminate EFM.Methods A total of 85 vaginal delivery cases (or transfer to caesarean section during labor) hospitalized in Peking University Third Hospital during February 4 to December 5,2011 was enrolled in this retrospective study.EFM monitored 0.5-1 hour before delivery was recorded and the mathematical characteristics as the baseline,deceleration area per unit time (cm2/min),deceleration duration ratio and some other variables of EFM were analyzed.All cases were divided into acidosis (n=12) and non-acidosis group (n=73) based on the umbilical blood gas results.Rank sum test or t-test were used to compare the difference on mathematical characteristics between these two groups.Results The deceleration duration ratio and deceleration area per unit time in acidosis group were 0.56±0.17 and 0.45 cm2/min (0.38-0.79 cm2/min),which were higher than those in non acidosis group [0.42±0.14 and 0.30 cm2/min (0.19-0.40 cm2/min)],the differences were statistically significant (t=2.889,Z=2.587,both P<0.05).There were no statistically significant differences in the number of mild variable deceleration and severe deceleration per unit time between acidosis group and non acidosis group [(0.44± 0.14)/min vs (0.41±0.13)/min,t=1.318,P>0.05; 0.033/min (0.016-0.062/min) vs 0.016/min (0.008-0.033/min),Z=-1.596,P>0.05].Conclusions The deceleration duration ratio and deceleration area per unit time can be used to assist the interpretation of indeterminate EFM.
8.Effects of emodin on IL-8 secretion and NF-?B activation of HT-29 cells

Aim To study the effect of emodin on IL-8 secretion and NF-?B activation of HT-29 cells,and explore the molecular mechanism of emodin.Methods The cytotoxicity of emodin was assessed by WST;NF-?B activation was detected with co-focal microscopy by immunofluorescence;the production of IL-8 was investigated by ELISA.Results Emodin with the concentration of 10~80 ?mol?L-1 could decrease the mass production of IL-8 Secretion of HT-29 cells stimulated by IFN-?+LPS in a dose-dependent manner.Emodin with various concentrations could inhibit NF-?B activation dose-dependently.Conclusions Emodin inhibited IL-8 secretion and NF-?B activation of HT-29 cells stimulated by IFN-?+LPS.
9.Research in literatures about the deep vein thrombosis after hip replacement at home and abroad

Objective To explore clinical progress about the deep vein thrombosis after hip replacement at home and abroad,and discuss the preventive effect of nursing intervention.Methods The documents about the deep vein thrombosis after hip replacement were retrieved from PUBMED,China National Network Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI),Chinese Scientific Journal Database (VIP),Chinese Bio Medical Literature Database (CBM) and Wan fang Database.And the retrieving duration was from 1st Jan.2001 to 1st Sept.2013.The research progress about prevention of deep vein thrombosis after hip replacement was analyzed through the analysis of the same and the difference of comparative literatures at home and abroad.Results There were totally 228 Chinese documents and 5 English documents of the deep vein thrombosis after hip replacement,and the number of document showed an increasing trend year by year.In the past five years,the clinical progress about the deep vein thrombosis after hip replacement was obvious,the research methods used was accurate,the involving intervention measures was continuously improved,literature quality was increased.Conclusions The quality of the documents published in domestic Chinese journals needs to be improved,and we should improve the quality of research design,research new methods of intervention,formulate the optimal nursing measures in order to achieve optimal care.
10.Effect of removing stasis medicinal herbs on proliferation and proteomics of THP-1 cell line induced by endotoxin

Objective:To observe the proteomics of blood-activating and stasis-removing(BASR) herbs in cellular model of endotoxin infection in vitro.Methods:Cellular model of endotoxin was induced by LPS,and a technical system by two-dimensional electrophoresis was widely used,proteins in different expression were analyzed by PDQust 7.1.1.Results:There were 176 protein spots in model group,in which 26 protein spots with different expression were sieved.Compared the protein profiles of TanshinoneⅡA group in model group,proteins were found as two-way-regulated.Among them,50% proteins were observed down-regulated and 38.5% proteins were seen up-regulated in TanshinoneⅡA group.11.5% more up-regulated.Conclusion:Cellular model of endotoxin induce was applied to sieving traditional Chinese medicines in laboratory;The Tanshinone ⅡA can inhibit the proliferation of THP-1 cell line in infection model,and can modify expression of some proteins.
