Objective To investigate dyslipidemia and the use of lipid-lowering drugs in patients with chronic kidney diseases(CKD)and analyze the related risk factors.Methods A total of 397 out-patients with CKD in our Renal Department from March 2006 to March 2007 were enrolled;258 healthy people with similar age and sex were taken as the control group.Lipid levels were compared between the two groups and related factors were analyzed.Results Among 397 CKD patients,there were 52.1% patients with high triglyceride(TG),41% with high total cholesterol(TC),18.8% with low high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),47.6% with high low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C).Compared with controls,rates of hypertriglyceridemia and low high-density lipoprotein cholesterol in CKD group were higher(P

ObjectiveTo explore the effect of the individualized intervention for the anxiety-depression after cardiovascular diseases. Methods80 inpatients with cardiovascular diseases were surveyed with Hospital Anxiety and Depressions Scale (HAD). The patients with anxiety-depression received individualized psychological intervention. Results14 of them suffered anxiety-depression. 13 cases recovered after the intervention. ConclusionThe individualized psychological intervention can improve anxiety-depression in the inpatients with cardiovascular diseases.

Objective To explore the correlation between plasma asymmetric dimethylarginin(ADMA) and essential hyper‐tention(EH) by comparing the difference of plasma asymmetric dimethylarginine levels between Kazak and Han patients with EH in Xinjiang .Methods 91 Kazak and 112 Han patients with EH were selected .81 Kazak and 110 Han healthy people were selected as healthy control groups .The plasma ADMA levels in EH groups and the control groups were measured by using the reverse phase‐high performance liquid chromatography (RP‐HPLC) .Meanwhile the liver function ,renal function ,blood lipids ,blood glucose and fructosamine were measured .Results Kazak and Han patients with EH had higher levels of plasma ADMA than the control groups (P<0 .01);there was a positive correlation between the plasma ADMA and blood pressure levels of EH patients in two na‐tionalities(r=0 .715 ,P<0 .01 for Kazak ;r=0 .645 ,P<0 .01 for Han) .Conclusion Both Kazak and Han patients with EH have higher levels of ADMA than the respective healthy control group in Xinjiang .The correlation between the plasma levels of ADMA and EH existed ,which indicate that ADMA might be involved in the occurrence and development of EH .

Objective To investigate the relationship between the expression of MMP-7 in peripher- al blood and esophageal cancer.Methods By using Real time RT-PCR, blood samples from 82 cases with postoperative esophageal cancer were detected.Results 37.8 %(32/82)patients were positive for MMP-7 mRNA expression.MMP-7 mRNA positivity significantly correlated with lymph node metastasis,stage,and hematogeneous metastasis.Recurrent disease was found in 28 of 82 cases. Of 28 patients experiencing re- lapse,15 patients were serially follow-up in every three months.The number positive of MMP-7 mRNA be- fore detection by imaging,at the same time of detection by imaging,and after detection by imaging was 5 cas- es,8 cases and 2 cases respectively.Conclusion Examination of MMP-7 mRNA in peripheral blood during follow-up is useful for early detection of occult recurrence.

Two kinds of different functional groups modified RuBpy-doped silica fluorescent nanoprobes Probe A and B that conjugated with avidin were prepared for the recognition of liver cancer cells. Firstly RuBpy-doped silica nanoparticles were synthesized by reverse microemulsion and modified with different functional groups, then Probe A was prepared by the conjugation of avidin with carboxyl modified nanoparticles through covalent binding using 1-ethyl-3-( 3-dimethylamino propyl ) carbodiimide hydrochloride ( EDC )/sulfo-NHS, whereas Probe B was prepared by the conjugation of avidin with the polyethylene glycol ( PEG) linkers on the surface nanoparticles using cyanogen bromide method. Therefore, compared with Probe A, Probe B was obtained by coupling avidin to the nanoparticles through long-chain PEG molecules. The two probes were incubated with liver cancer cells respectively, and microscopic fluorescence imaging shows that Probe B which contained PEG molecules could be more effectively applied for the recognition of tumor marker carcinoembryonic antigen ( CEA) in liver cancer cells.

Objective To explore the relating factors for cognitive dysfunction in patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (AECOPD).Methods Totally 150 patients with acute exacerbation of COPD (AECOPD) and 150 gender and age-matched healthy subjects (controls) received the cognitive and depression function assessment.150 AECOPD cases were classified into two groups:COPD patients with or without cognitive dysfunction.Fasting blood uric acid (UA) was measured and compared between the two groups.Relating factors for cognition dysfunction were analyzed.Results The score of Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) was reduced in AECOPD patients as compared with controls [(19.01±3.58) vs.(26.58±1.42)scores,t=-3.48,P=0.032].The score of Hamilton depression (HAMD) scale was higher in AECOPD patients than in controls [(18.05 ± 4.50) vs.(9.98 ± 3.51) scores,t =4.63,P =0.028].The prevalence of cognitive impairment in the patients with AECOPD was 82 cases (54.7％).The serum UA level was lower in the AECOPD patients with cognitive impairment than in patients without cognitive impairment [(235±42) μmol/L (n=82) vs.(332±45) μmol/L (n=68),t=-6.65,P=0.003].In AECOPD patients,the cognitive function was correlated with education,length of hospital stay,serum UA level,COPD stages,disease duration and the depression level,but was not correlated with smoking and body mass index.Conclusions The cognitive impairment is highly prevalent in patients with AECOPD,which is associated with lower serum UA level,longer hospital stay and disease severity.

Objective To investigate the association between high-frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFOV) and the incidence of brain injury in premature infants(BIPI) with respiratory distress syndrome (RDS).Methods A total of 136 premature infants who were diagnosed as RDS and treated with mechanical ventilation between January 1,2014 and June 30,2016 were enrolled.Atter stratified by gestational age of 36-34 weeks,33-32 weeks,31-28 weeks and ≤ 27 weeks,the neonates were randomly divided into two groups (68 cases each):conventional mechanical ventilation (CMV) and HFOV groups.Duration of ventilation and changes in blood gas parameters following 24,48 and 72 hours of ventilation were monitored and compared between the two groups.Incidences of BIPI and complications in the two groups were calculated and their associations with gestational age and birth weight were analyzed.Moreover,incidences of cure rates in the two groups were comparatively analyzed.Independent samples t-test,two-way analysis of variance,Chi-square test or Fisher's exact test was used for statistical analysis.Results (1)Significant difference was observed neither in the perinatal factors (prenatal glucocorticoid usage,and incidences of premature rupture of membrane and gestational diabetes mellitus),nor in the severity of RDS between the two groups (all P＞0.05).(2) The average duration of ventilation in the CMV group was higher than that of the HFOV group [(68.44±10.3) vs (64.7±8.5) h,t=2.285,P＜0.05].No significant difference in the values of pH,partial pressure of carbon dioxide (PaCO2) or partial pressure of oxygen (PaO2) before and after 24,48 or 72 hours of ventilation treatment was found between the two groups (all P＞0.05).(3) Neither the incidence of hemorrhagic brain injury nor that of non-hemorrhagic brain injury showed any significant difference between the CMV and HFOV groups [36.8％ (25/68) vs 39.7％ (27/68);16.2％ (11/68)vs 14.7％ (10/68),both P＞0.05].The total incidence of BIPI showed no significant difference [44.1％(30/68) vs 45.8％(33/68),22=0.266,P=0.606].The smaller gestational age at birth and the lower birth weight,the higher incidence of BIPI,although no significant difference was shown in the incidence of BIPI when compared among different gestational age groups and different birth weight groups (all P＞0.05).(4) The incidence of complications in the CMV group was higher than that in HFOV group [25.0％(17/68) vs 11.8％(8/68),22=3.970,P=0.044],while the cure rate of RDS was similar [94.1％(64/68) vs 95.6％(65/68),x2=0.151,P=0.703].Conclusions HFOV is a safe and reliable therapy for preterm infants with RDS.Compared with CMV,HFOV can shorten the duration of ventilation and reduce the incidence of complications without increasing the risk of BIPI.However,the cure rate of RDS is not increased by HFOV.
