Objective To explore the relation between endothelial function and Alzheimer′s disease(AD).Methods The concentration of asymmetric dimethylarginine(ADMA)and L-arginine were measured by high-performance liquid chromatography(HPLC),the concentration of nitric oxide(NO) detected by the method of nitrate reductase,and the activity of nitric oxide synthase(NOS)examined using NOS assay kits,in the plasma of 45 mild/moderate AD patients and 48 controls.Results Compared with controls,the concentration of ADMA(0.95?0.09?mol/L,P=0.00)was significantly increased,however the activity of NOS((13.9?3.9)U/L,P=0.00),inducible NOS(iNOS)((5.1?1.8)U/L,P= 0.00)and concentration of NO((41.7?5.0)?mol/L,P=0.00)were significantly decreased.In addition,Logistic regression analysis found significant positive correlations between the plasma concentration of NO and the score of the CDR(y=36.64?0.398_x;r=0.398,P

Objective To investigate the mastery degree of GCP (Good Clinical Practice) in Guang’anmen Hospital of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences (hereinafter referred to as“Guang’anmen Hospital”). Methods Totally 338 clinical researchers, covering 18 clinical professional sections and medical clinical trial institutions, in Guang’anmen Hospital with both qualification of clinical trials and GCP certificate were investigated in 23th-27th June 2014. The investigation was in the written answer sheet form, including four noun explanations and 36 multiple choice questions, which were related to GCP. Results 338 researchers could accurately explain the concepts of 4 nouns, and 57 (16.86%) researchers could do all multiple choice questions correctly. 141 (41.72%) researchers chose 1 wrong answer and 89 (26.33%) researchers chose 2 wrong answers. 39 (11.54%) researchers failed to answer 3-4 questions. Only 12 (3.55%) researchers failed to answer 5 or more questions. Conclusion The mastery degree of clinical researchers with qualification of clinical trials and GCP certificate in Guang’anmen Hospital is satisfied. In the future, pertinence and diverse training should be strengthened, in order to improve the overall level of the mastery degree of GCP.

AlM:To observe the efficacy of the multiple wave length laser in treating diabetic retinopathy combined with central retinal vein occlusion.
METHODS:Totally 95 cases ( 100 eyes ) with diabetic retinopathy combined with central retinal vein occlusion were treated by multiple wave length laser. Krypton yellow laser was used for macular edema in focal photocoagulation and diffuse photocoagulation. For peripheral retina, krypton green or krypton red laser were used. Visual acuity, slit - lamp biomicroscopy, ophthalmoscopy and fundus fluorescein angiography were performed preoperatively and postoperatively. The patients were followed up for 12 to 48wk. ln this study, change in visual acuity and macular edema were observed in both groups, and statistical analysis was performed. RESULTS: The effective rate was 61. 2% in diffuse macular edema group and 86. 3% in focal macular edema group. The general effective rate of later was higher than the former, while the treatment effect had significant statistical difference (P<0. 05).
CONCLUSlON:Multiple wave length laser is an effective and safe way to treat diabetic macular edema of diabetic retinopathy combined with central retinal vein occlusion, which is worth widely applying in clinical practice.

Objective To explore the role of CD 30 on CD4 + T lymphocyte and T lymphocyte subset activation in asthma pathogenesis.Methods Twenty seven asthma active attack patients,16 acute upper respiratory infection patients and 19 control children were randomly selected. Direct immunofluorescence flow cytometry was used to detect the CD 30 positive percentage on CD4 +cell; ELISA was used to detect the levels of interleukin(IL) 4 and IL 13 in culture supernatants of peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMC) and plasma total immunoglobulin E(IgE) level.Results Compared with control group and acute upper respiratory infection group, in asthmatic children the CD4 +CD 30 + percentage on CD4 + cell was elevated significantly; 2.The levels of IL 4 and IL 13 in supernatants of cultured lymphocyte were increased significantly, the plasma total IgE level was increased significantly;3.There was a significant positive correlation of CD4 +CD 30 + cell percentage with the levels of IL 4 and IL 13 in culture supernatants and plasma total IgE.Conclusions The cell that could produce Th2 derived cytokine may consist of CD 30 +cell;When CD 30 L combined with CD 30 on CD4 + cells ,it might result in Th2 cell proliferation ,develop and release Th2 derived cytokine; IL 4 and IL 13 could induce B cell production and secrete more IgE. It is suggested that CD 30 and imbalance of Th2 subset may play an important role in asthma pathogenesis.

Objective: To investigate the mortality and life lost among patients with severe mental illness (SMI) that were registered in Ningbo City from 2016 to 2020, so as to provide the evidence for formulating the SMI control strategy. Methods: All data pertaining to dead SMI patients registered in Ningbo City from 2016 to 2020 were extracted from Ningbo Municipal Mental Health Information Management System. The demographic characteristics and causes of death were analyzed among dead SMI patients, and the life lost was analyzed among dead SMI patients using years of potential life lost (YPLL), years of potential life lost rate (YPLLR) and average years of life lost (AYLL). Results: A total of 3 350 deaths occurred among SMI patients registered in Ningbo City from 2016 to 2020, with mortality of 1 962/105, including 2 490 patients with schizophrenia (74.33%), 1 640 men (48.96%), 1 877 farmers (56.03%), and 2 622 patients with an educational level of primary school and below (78.27%). The dead SMI patients had a median age of 66.8 (interquartile range, 20.1) years at death, and median disease course of 25.8 (interquartile range, 26.7) years. The median age at death was 63.7 (interquartile range, 18.5) years among men, which was significantly lower than that (median, 70.0 years; interquartile range, 19.6 years) among women (χ2=132.633, P<0.001). The patients with mental retardation complicated by mental disorders had the longest disease course (median, 40.3 years; interquartile range, 34.1 years) and the lowest age at death (median, 61.4 years; interquartile range, 21.9 years). Physical disease was identified as the predominant cause of death (2 754 cases, 82.21%), and the YPLL, AYLL and YPLLR due to all causes of death were 44 417.32 person-years, 15.61 years and 6.21‰. The AYLL was significantly greater among men than among women (17.33 vs. 13.75 years; χ2=68.254, P<0.001). The YPLL was 30 156.80 person-years among patients with schizophrenia, and the AYLL was 20.87 years among patients with mental retardation complicated by mental disorders. Conclusions Physical disease was the main cause of death among SMI patients registered in Ningbo City from 2016 to 2020, which posed a great effect on the lifespan among men and patients with schizophrenia and mental retardation complicated by mental disorders.
