Perimenopause syndrome, referred also to climacteric syndrome, results from the changing of relationship among hypothalamus, pituitary and ovary during women's aging process. Those changes take place first in overy, then in hypothalmus and pituitary, which are reflected as the functional changes in endocrinological and central nervous system, accompanied with a series of psychological symptoms. 90% of women with perimenopause syndrome show clinical symptoms. The clinical prevention and treatment of female climacteric syndrome by traditional Chinese medicine: traditional Chinese medicine attributes the various symptoms of female climacteric syndrome to a variety of syndromes of Chinese medicine, e. g. gradual consumption of kidney-Qi, emptiness of the Ren and Chong channels, gradual exhaustion of Tienqui, breakdown of Yin-Yang equilibrium in the body, disorders of Zang-Fu, Qi and blood. The treatment based on syndrome differentiation, modification of prescription according to the symptoms, special prescription and simple recipe and acupuncture were employed in treating Yin-deficiency of the kidney, Yang-deficiency of the kidney, Yin and Yang-deficiency of the kidney, breakdown of the normal physiological coordination between the heart and the kidney, deficiency of liver-Yin and kidney-Yin, insufficiency of both the spleen and the kidney, deficiency of Qi and blood in the heart and spleen, stagnation of the liver-Qi and deficiency of the spleen, stagnation of the liver-Qi, phlegm stagnancy and the upward invasion of heat-phlegm. The traditional Chinese medicinal had a satisfactory global regulating effect on the nervous system and immune- regulating network with multifunction and unique advantage, e.g. its regulating effect on FSH, LH, E2, 5-HT, 5-HIAA, free radical and adtonomic nervous system. Experimental studies have also been conducted, e. g. There were also systematic studies of the simple Chinese drugs' pharmacodynamics and drugs forms of prepared drugs. In the health care of female climacteric syndrome the traditional Chinese medicine has also its own features and advantages.

Chinese Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma 2021;23(2):111-115
Objective:To evaluate our self-designed easily-breaking compression bone bolt plus bone plate in the treatment of tibial plateau fracture. Methods:From July 2018 to December 2018, 12 patients with tibial plateau fracture were treated at Emergency Center of Trauma, The Third Hospital of Hebei Medical University using our self-designed easily-breaking compression bone bolt plus bone plate. They were 8 males and 4 females, aged from 20 to 65 years (average, 45.6 years), with 6 left sides and 6 right sides injured. According to Schatzker classification, there were one case of type I, 3 cases of type Ⅱ, 3 cases of type Ⅲ, 2 cases of type Ⅳ, one case of type Ⅴ and 2 cases of type Ⅵ. The width of tibial plateau was measured and compared before and after operation on X-ray films. Operation time, blood loss and fracture union time were recorded. Loss of reduction and postoperative complications were followed up. Knee function was evaluated at the final follow-up by Rasmussen scoring. Results:For this cohort, operation time averaged 54.6 min, blood loss 25 mL, and fracture union time 17.2 weeks. No nonunion or delayed union was observed. The postoperative width of tibial plateau was (78.9±7.2) mm, significantly narrower than the preoperative value [(87.4±6.1) mm] ( P < 0.05). No loss of reduction or surgical complications occurred postoperation. Deep venous thrombosis of the lower extremity developed in 2 patients but recovered after treatment. The Rasmussen scoring for knee joint function at the final follow-up yielded 9 excellent, 2 good and one poor. Conclusion:In treatment of tibial plateau fractures, our self-designed easily-breaking compression bone bolt plus bone plate can restore width of tibial plateau, compress fracture fragments tightly and allow for early exercise, leading to fine functional recovery of the knee joint.

Objective:To explore the factors related to functional recovery of the knee in patients with tibial plateau fracture complicated with intercondylar ridge fracture. Methods:Included in this retrospective study were 63 patients who had been treated at Emergency Center of Trauma, The Third Hospital of Hebei Medical University from January to June 2019 for tibial plateau fracture complicated with intercondylar ridge fracture. They were 43 males and 20 females, aged from 18 to 66 years (average, 43.9 years). According to our comprehensive classification of tibial plateau fractures, there were 27 simple ones (20 cases of type Ⅰ and 7 cases of type Ⅱ) and 36 complicated ones (16 cases of type Ⅲ, 17 cases of type Ⅳ, one of type Ⅴ and 2 cases of type Ⅵ). To screen out major influencing factors, a multiple linear regression model was used to analyze the 12 factors that might affect functional recovery of the knee by the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) scoring: age, gender, occupation, fracture type, way of medical payment, cause of injury, operation method, starting time for rehabilitation, postoperative brace installation, time from injury to operation, length of hospital stay, and presence or absence of a free intercondylar ridge fracture fragment. Results:The 63 patients were followed up for 6.0 to 7.1 months (average, 6.1 months). The HSS knee scores ranged from 45 to 100 points (average, 92.4 points). The HSS knee scores were significantly different between different fracture types ( P<0.05). The HSS scores were significantly higher for the patients without a free intercondylar ridge fracture fragment than for those with ( P<0.05). Multiple linear regression model analysis of the 5 variables with P<0.02 in the single factor analysis (age, fracture type, way of medical payment, hospital stay and presence or absence of a free intercondylar ridge fracture fragment) and HSS scores showed that only fracture type and presence or absence of a free intercondylar ridge fracture fragment had a significant impact on the knee function. Their regression equation was Y=125.591-7.790a-17.277b (Y indicates HSS score, a indicates fracture type and b indicates presence or absence of a free intercondylar ridge fracture fragment). Conclusions:The short-term prognosis for tibial plateau fractures of comprehensive types Ⅰ&Ⅱ (simple ones) may be better than that for tibial plateau fractures of comprehensive types Ⅲ, Ⅳ, Ⅴ&Ⅵ (complicated ones). For patients with a free intercondylar ridge fracture fragment on their lateral knee X-ray film, effective reduction and fixation is indicated but is not for those without.

Chinese Medical Journal 2005;118(20):1717-1722
BACKGROUNDWe investigated the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis in diabetes, and detected the expression of scavenger receptor CD36 in monocytes in patients with type 2 diabetes.
METHODSAccording to the criteria by WHO, diabetic patients were classified into two groups: well controlled diabetic patients (WCP) and poorly controlled diabetic patients (PCP). The expression of CD36 protein and mRNA were evaluated by flow cytometry and reversal transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). Plasma levels of accumulation of oxidized LDL (oxLDL) were directly measured by sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) method.
RESULTSFlow cytometry and RT-PCR showed that the mean fluorescence intensity (MFI) of CD36 in monocyte and CD36 mRNA were significantly higher in the PCP and WCP in comparison with healthy controls (P<0.01). CD36 MFI and mRNA in the PCP were increased by 78% and 36% compared to the WCP. In both groups, CD36 MFI and mRNA were significantly higher in patients with diabetic atherosclerosis in comparison with those without diabetic atherosclerosis (P<0.05). No significant difference was found in CD14 expression between the groups (P>0.05). The concentrations of plasma oxLDL were higher in the PCP group compared to WCP and control group (P<0.05), whereas oxLDL average values did not differ significantly between WCP and control groups (P>0.05). In the WCP and PCP groups, oxLDL levels were higher in patients with diabetic atherosclerosis than those without diabetic atherosclerosis (P<0.05).
CONCLUSIONSThe increased expression of scavenger receptor CD36 may be one of the mechanism of accelerated atherosclerosis in diabetic. The poorly controlled diabetes patients are at higher risk for the vascular complications than the well controlled diabetic patients.

Chinese Journal of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine 2012;32(5):657-660
OBJECTIVETo compare different Chinese medicine (CM) therapeutic methods on the pancreatic orthotopic transplantation tumors in nude mice, and to explore their features.
METHODSThe pancreatic orthotopic transplantation tumor model was established. Sixty nude mice were randomly divided into four group, i. e., the blood circulation activating and stasis resolving group, the heat clearing and dampness removing group, the Pi-strengthening and qi-regulating group, the phlegm reducing and mass resolving group, the normal control 1 group, and the normal control 2 group, 10 in each group. 0.2 mL corresponding CM decoction or normal saline was respectively administered to each group by gastrogavage, once daily, for totally 28 days. The body weight, the tumor weight, and the tumor inhibition ratio were observed.
RESULTSThe tumor inhibition ratio was 42.69% in the heat clearing and dampness removing group, 31.24% in the blood circulation activating and stasis resolving group, 2.11% in the Pi-strengthening and qi-regulating group, and -12.95% in the phlegm reducing and mass resolving group. There was statistical difference in the tumor weight between the heat clearing and dampness removing group and the normal control 1 group (g, 0.51 +/- 0.28 vs 0.90 +/- 0.25, P < 0.05). There was no statistical difference in the body weight change between the two groups (P > 0.05).
CONCLUSIONSThe CM pathogenesis of pancreatic carcinoma may possibly due to the accumulation of dampness and heat, or the accumulation of dampness, heat, and toxicity. Clearing heat and removing dampness may be the basic principle for its treatment.

Chinese Journal of Plastic Surgery 2008;24(4):300-302
OBJECTIVETo investigate the expression and clinical significance of cyclin H and cyclin-dependent kinase 7 (CDK7) in human hemangiomas.
METHODSImmunohistochemistry technique was used to measure the expression of cyclin H and CDK7 proteins in proliferative, involuting hemangiomas and normal skin tissues. Immunohistochemical technique for factor VIII-related antigen was used to prove that the cells which expressed cyclin H and CDK7 were endothelial cells. Average optical density and positive area of the expression of cyclin H and CDK7 proteins in proliferative, involuting hemangiomas and normal skin tissues were measured by image analysis (HPIAS-1000).
RESULTSThe expression of cyclin H and CDK7 protein in proliferating hemangiomas was significantly higher than that in involuting hemangiomas and normal skin tissues (P < 0.01). But no significant difference was found in the expression of cyclin H and CDK7 protein between involuting hemangiomas and normal skin tissues (P > 0.05).
CONCLUSIONScyclin H and CDK7 may play an important role in the generation and development of human hemangiomas.

Chinese Journal of Medical Ultrasound (Electronic Edition) 2013;(7):590-595
Objective To investigate the relation of contrast-enhanced ultrasound ( CEUS ) characteristics and microvessel density ( MVD ) in the breast cancer .Methods From October 2010 to February 2012, 45 cases of patients with breast cancer were studied in Yantai Yuhuangding Hospital , Affiliated to Qingdao University Medical College .All lesions were examined by CEUS before surgery .The blood perfusion parameters such as rising time (RT),peak intensity(PI),time to peak(TTP),wash-in slope (WIS) and mean transit time ( MTT) were obtained by time-intensity curve ( TIC).Immunohistochemical staining for anti-factor CD34 was performed on surgery specimen and the MVD was evaluated .The CEUS characteristics and blood perfusion parameters between different MVD groups of breast cancer were compared. Results In 45 cases of breast cancer, mean MVD was(47.6 ±14.2)/high power field(HPD). Twenty-one cases(46.7%) were classified as high MVD group(MVD>48/HPD) and 24 cases(53.3%) were classified as lower MVD group ( MVD≤48/HPD) .Besides two cases without contrast agent perfusion in CEUS imaging, blood perfusion was observed in 43 cases (95.6%).Heterogeneous enhancement was observed in 25 cases(55.6%).Local blood perfusion defect was observed in 27 cases(60.0%).Irregular shape was observed in 37 cases(82.2%).Centripetal enhancement was observed in 25 cases(55.6%). Penetrating surrounding vessels was observed in 32 cases(71.1%).Poorly-defined margin was observed in 34 cases(75.6%).Compared with the surrounding normal breast tissue ,RT and TTP of center region of neoplasms was shorter[(9.3 ±3.3)s vs (11.1 ±3.7)s and (25.3 ±5.9)s vs (27.5 ±6.4)s],PI was higher[(12.1 ±4.6)dB vs (9.2 ±2.8)dB],WIS was higher(1.0 ±0.4 vs 0.8 ±0.3) and differences were significant(t =-3.001, -4.785,6.987 and 5.438,all P <0.05).Compared with center region of neoplasms,TTP of periphery region of neoplasms was shorter [(22.2 ±6.0)s vs (25.3 ±5.9)s],PI was higher[(15.4 ±5.1)dB vs (12.1 ±4.6)dB],WIS was larger(1.3 ±0.5 vs 1.0 ±0.4) and differences were significant(t=-2.839,3.194 and 3.151,all P<0.05).The detection rate of blood perfusion defect and heterogeneous enhancement was higher in the high-MVD group than in the low-MVD group(χ2 =4.0179 and 7.2024,both P <0.05).While the enhancement shape, margin and penetrating vessels showed no statistical difference between the two groups .Breast neoplasms in the high-MVD group had higher PI than those in the low-MVD group[(18.2 ±5.6)dB vs (12.9 ±3.1)dB,t=-3.738,P<0.05].While the RT, TTP and WIS showed no statistical difference between the two groups ( t=-0.798,-0.760 and -0.378, all P>0.05).Conclusion CEUS characteristics of breast lesions were associated with MVD ,which may reflect the microvessel distributional characteristics of neoplasm and may be one of bases used to evaluate neoplasm angiogenesis .
