Objective To evaluate the clinical value of bone imaging in diagnosing bone metastasis from lung cancer. Methods A total of 201 patients with diagnosed lung cancer were examined by ~(99)Tc~(m)-MDP bone imaging,and the bone metastatic sites,quantity and pathological types of those with skeletal metastases were reviewed and analyzed.Results Among these 201 patients,134 cases were found with skeletal metastases,commonly in the thoracic bone,the sinal and pelvic bone.Lung cancer was identified easier to have the skeletal metastases of adenocarcinoma than other types of cancers.The positive rate of bone metastasis diagnosed by radionuclide bone imaging was rather higher than that of X-ray and CT.Conclusion Radionuclide bone imaging should be routinely performed in patients with lung cancer.

Objective To observe the expression of IGF-1 in the peri-hematomal brain region of Intracerebral Hemorrhage(ICH) patients,and to investigate the relationship among IGF-1,excessive and depletion syndrome of stroke.Methods 28 patients were evenly and randomly recruited into 3groups:Yin excessive group,Yang excessive group and depletion group.Additional 6 persons of normal death within 3 hours were taken their brain tissue.The IGF-1 expression was detected with Western blotting method.The correlation among the expression of IGF-1,excessive and depletion syndromes were observed.Results The expression of IGF-1 in the peri-hematomal brain region of ICH patients significantly increased in comparison with the normal control group (P=0.00).The expression of IGF-1 was significantly different among Yang excessive,Yin excessive and the depletion syndromes [ (0.696±0.111)、(1.151 ±0.185)、(1.697±0.108),P＜0.01],with the expression of IGF-1 of depletion syndrome ranked the highest,followed by Yin excessive and Yang excessive syndrome.Conclusion The expression of IGF-1 could reflect the degree of brain impairment.

Objective To investigate the application of CUSUM (cumulative sum control chart) curve in cardiac clinical teaching of resident surgeon education.Methods We chose a surgeon of 10years work experience of attending the preparation operation of internal mammary artery as control reference (standard group,28 patients) and a resident engaged in professional clinical cardiac work no more than 5 years as group 1,a professional training physician engaged in cardiac surgery clinical work more than 5 years as group 2 and took 40 patients' data respectively from the two groups' preparation of internal mammary artery operation.And then we recorded the postoperative mammary artery flow,internal mammary artery preparation time and adverse events data and made statistics analysis with SPSS 19.0,and CUSUM curve with Matlab R2012b polynomial curve.Results When the density of operate interval and the operate numbers came to about 25 cases,the polynomial eurve's slope rate went up to 0,regardless the surgeons' experience,CUSUM value was accumulated from 66 to 76,and overcame the learning curve successfully.However,when the density of operate interval did no reach the standard,the surgeon's CUSUM ploynomial cmwe slope rate never reached to 0,and can't overcome the learning curve.Conclusion CUSUM curve gives a clear quantitative indicator to the cultivation of clinical physician,and makes teaching teachers can understand the young physicians' learning process,so as to change the teaching plan,help young physicians cross the learning curve as soon as possible.

An improved method for the purification of 1,25-(OH)2D3-26,23-lactone was established by using one step of highperformance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The analytic column was Shim-pack NH2 (straight-phase type). The mobile phase was Methanol: Dichloromethane: Hexane = 4:26:70 and the flow rate was 2ml/min. An ultraviolet detector with 254nm was used. The retention time of 1,25-(OH)2D3, l,25-(OH)2D3-26,23-lactone and 1, 24, 25-(OH)3D3 werel2.10, 17.06 and 22,00 minutes respectively. This method can separate 1,25-(OH)2D3, l,25-(OH)2D3-26,23-lactone and 1,24,25-(OH)3D3 only by one step of HPLC and it is better than the old one which need two steps of HPLC for the separation of these substances.

This paper summarizes the nursing care of a child with hand,food and mouth disease complicating multiple organ failure,such as use of ice-blanket and strategies of vessel protection. As a result,the child recovered well and was discharged after rehabilitation.

Objective To investigate the influence of co-expression state of p14 ARF and p16 INK4a protein on radiochemotherapy and length of survival period in patients with non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)after resection. Methods Thirty-five patients with negative p14 ARF and p16 INK4a co-expression and 20 patients with positive p14 ARF and p16 INK4a co-expression were enrolled for the study. The co-expression of the said proteins were previously determined by immunohistochemistry (S-P). Clinical pathological characteristics were compared between two groups, and the survival time and the results of radiochemotherapy of patients were respectively recorded and analysed. Results No significant differences were found in age, TNM stages, degree of differentiation, recurrence/metastasis and radiochemotherapy between two groups. However, there was significant differences in sex, smoking index, and pathological classification. Objective To assess the safety and effica cy of local lidocaine anesthesia for pain control during transrectal ultrasound-g uided 10-core biopsy of the prostate. Methods Transrect al ultrasound-guided prostate biopsy was performed for 150 consecutive men beca use of an abnormal digital rectal examination and(or) abnormal transrectal ult rasound scan and(or) elevated prostate specific antigen.100 paients were rando mly assigned to receive an injection of 2% lidocaine (group 1,50 cases)or norm al saline(group 2,50 cases)into the lateral and apical periprostatic region,3 ml in each point,the other 50 patients(group 3) served as controls.Immediate ly after biopsy the pain score was recorded independently by a nurse using 10-p oint visual analog scale(VAS). Results The pain score range was 0 to 7.5 in the group 1,0 to 9.1 in the group 2 and 0 to 7.4 in the co ntrol group,the mean pain scores being 2.0 in the group 1,4.0 in the group 2 a nd 3.7 in the control group.The diffrence between group 1 and group 2、3 was sig nificant( P

Conclusions Lateral and apical periprostatic anesthesia can significantly diminish the pain and discomfort in those undergoing transrectal prostate biopsy without increasing the incidence of complications.We recommend that this procedure be routinely applied to all patients undergoing transrectal prostate biopsy.
