Objective To compare the influence of cryopreservation duration on quality of rozen-thawed embryo and clinical outcome in frozen-thawed transfer cycles. Methods A retrospective study was performed to evaluate the clinical outcomes and quality of rozen-thawed embryo of frozen embryo transfer(FET)cycles includ-ing freezing cycles and vitrification cycles. FET cycles were divided into 4 group acorrding to the storage duration of vitrified embryos:1~6 months group ,7~12 months group ,13~24 months group and ≥ 25 months group. Result There was no significant difference in recovery rate ,clinical pregnancy rate and abortion rate (98.1%, 99.0%,96.8%&95.7%;54.4%,55.4%,49.6%&51.5%;0.7%,8.9%,9.4%&11.1%;P>0.05). The embryos recovery rate and clinical pregnant rate after vitrification were significantly higher than programmed freezing (P<0.05). The blastocyst recovery rate in group A was significantly higher than the cleavage stage embryo recov ery rate in group B(P<0.05). Conclusions Vitrification has better effects on cryopreservation and clinical outcomes. Blastocyst may be the best stage for vitrifying and freezing of embryo.

ObjectiveTo investigate the differences of whole blood chemical elements and urinary fluorine between patients with endemic fluomsis and patients without endemic fluorosis,and to find out the elements associated with endemic fluorosis and further lay a theoretical basis for clarify the pathogenesis of the disease.MethodsUsing case-control study,100 children aged 8 - 12 with dental fluorosis in Wushan and Fengjie counties of Chongqing from December 2010 to February 2011,and 30 adults with skeletal fluorosis were enrolled as case group; 100 children aged 8 - 12 without dental fluorosis and 30 adults without skeletal fluorosis were enrolled as internal control group; and 50 children without dental fluorosis and 30 healthy adults were selected as external control group in non-epidemic areas in Yubei district.Whole blood copper,zinc,calcium,magnesium,iron and urinary fluorine of all subjects were determined,and differences of these indexes were compared between groups.ResultsThe levels of copper,zinc,calcium,magnesium,iron and urinary fluorine of children in the case group were (30.08 ± 2.83),(74.04 ± 9.75)μmol/L,(1.65 ± 0.29),(1.37 ± 0.17),(6.79 ± 1.27)mmol/L,and (0.73 ±0.37)mg/L,respectively; the levels of these elements of children in internal control group were (28.65 ± 3.96),(72.83 ± 11.35)μmol/L,(1.62 ± 0.27),(1.36 ± 0.18),(6.73 ± 1.22)mmol/L,and (0.48 ± 0.21)mg/L,respectively; in external control group were (32.03 ± 2.99),(77.78 ± 10.85)μmol/L,(1.41 ± 0.11),(1.43 ± 0.13),(7.66 ±0.55)mmol/L,and (0.49 ± 0.26)mg/L,respectively(all P＜ 0.05),the comparison between any two groups indicated the levels of copper,zinc,magnesium,iron of the case group were lower than that of external control group,urinary fluorine was higher than that of internal and external control groups(all P ＜ 0.05).The levels of copper,zinc,calcium,magnesium,iron and urinary fluorine of adult case were (26.93 ± 4.37),(95.89 ± 12.45)μmol/L,(1.50 ± 1.76),(1.56 ± 1.96),(8.15 ± 1.00)mmol/L,and (2.17 ± 0.99)mg/L; internal control group were (26.26 ±4.96),(94.86 ± 12.18)μmol/L,(1.57 ± 0.12),(1.46 ± 0.16),(7.64 ± 1.00)mmol/L,and (1.44 ± 1.22)mg/L;external control group were (26.20 ± 2.96),(96.52 ± 11.11)μmol/L,(1.48 ± 0.14),(1.45 ± 0.16),(7.81 ±0.91 )mmol/L,and (0.55 ± 0.21 )mg/L,respectively.The levels of magnesium,iron and urinary fluorine of case group were higher than that of internal control group,magnesium and urinary fluorine were higher than that of external control group(all P ＜ 0.05).ConclusionsIn vivo anti-fluorine elements are deficient in the areas with endemic fluorosis.Other chemical elements,the environment and genetic factors may be related to the pathogenesisof the disease,which needs a further comprehensive analysis.

Objective To study the clinical value of transcervical resection under hysteroscope in treatment of placental remnants.Methods From March 2003 to April 2006,14 cases of placental remnants were treated with transcervical resection under hysteroscope.They included 3 cases of term birth,and 11 cases of midtrimester induction of labor.Drug pretreatment was performed for those who had more than 80 U/L of blood beta-human chorionic gonadotropin (?-hCG) level,including mifepristone (RU486), Chinese herbs and methotrexate(MTX).RU486 was taken orally at 25 mg,three times daily and misoprostol was given 600 ?g at one dose on the third day.MTX was given by deep intramuscular injection at 1 mg/m~2 if ?-hCG was higher than 150 U/L.Bipolar evaporation was used in the operation with alternation of resection and forceps holder under ultrasonographic supervision.After operation a circular contraceptive device was placed followed by hormone periodic treatment such as estradiol valerate for 2-4 months.Results Under the monitoring by ultrasonography,14 operations were all performed smoothly.The follow-up was from 6 months to 2 years.Menstruations in almost all the cases were recovered,and 3 cases of those were pregnant and delivered smoothly 4,6 and 7 months after operation.Conclusion The transcervical resection under hysteroscope is useful in treatment of placental remnants with obvious effects,little trauma and few complications.

Objective To study the methods and effect of the surgical treatment for intrahepaticolithiasis(IHL). Methods In recent 12 years, in our hospital,230 cases of IHL were treated by different operations companied with biliary fibrescopy to remove the residnal stones of biliary tract. Results (1) Hepatolobectomy combined with Y-type hepatocholangiojejunostomy was done in 103 cases,the success rate was 91.8%.(2)Y-type hepatocholangiojejunostomy was performed on 45 cases,the success rate was 81.2%.(3)Hepaticolithotomy combined with T-tube drainage was done in 72 cases,the success rate was 69.3%. Conclusions For intrahepaticolithiasis,combination of hepatolobectomy with other operation and with biliary fibrescopy during or after the operation shoul be done, which can effectively improve the curative effect.

ObjectiveTo investigate the prevalence and distribution characteristics of dental fluorosis of children aged 8 - 12 in Wushan and Fengjie counties of Chongqing and to provide a scientific basis for prevention and control of the disease.MethodsTwenty townships(towns) in Fengjie county and 18 in Wushan county were selected as survey points by random cluster sampling in 2010.Dental fluorosis of all the children aged 8 - 12 was examined with Dean index.The detection rate of children's dental fluorosis,defect rate and dental fluorosis index were compared between the two counties.Results Totally 38 209 children aged 8 - 12 were investigated.The total detection rate of dental fluorosis was 43.09％( 16 466/38 209) in the two counties.The detection rates of dental fluorosis in Wushan and Fengjie were 48.98％ (9397/19 186)and 37.16％(7069/19 023),respectively,and the difference was statistically significant(x2 =544.03,P ＜ 0.01 ).Total detection rates of dental fluorosis of the five age groups(8,9,10,11,and 12-year-old age groups) were 32.52％(2157/6632),40.07％(2672/6668),43.67％(3420/7831 ),46.01％ (3861/8391) and 50.14％ (4356/8687),respectively,and the difference was statistically significant (x2 =510.50,P ＜ 0.01),Dental fluorosis indexes in Wushan and Fengjie were 0.713 and 0.485,respectively.Defect rates of dental fluorosis in Wushan and Fengjie were 4.05％ (777/19 186) and 1.57％(298/19 023),respectively.Conclusions The total detection rate of dental fluorosis of the two counties is still high,which gradually increases with age.Wushan is still an endemic area of dental fluorosis,and Fengjie is at the edge of the

Objective To investigate the feasibility of measuring liver volume with Argus methoct Methods Thirty-two healthy liver transplant donor candidates underwent liver MRI on a 3.0 T MR unit.Volume interpolated body examination(VIBE)was performed after the administration of gadobenate dimeglumine.The VIBE data was transferred to the diagnostic workstation,and then multiple planar reconstruction(MPR)images were acquired.Firstly.two observers manually drawn the liver shape and calculated three volumes:the whole liver volume and right lobes volumes include middle hepatic vein (MHV)and exclude MHV,respectively.Secondly,the same data was transferred to Argus software.calculated that three volumes.Each measurement time was recorded.Actual graft volume(the right lobe)wag measured during surgery.The correlation between right lobes volume of two measurements and actual graft volume was analyzed.The time needed for Argus and that needed for manual method were compared with paired t test.Results The right lobe volumes measured by Argus,manually and surgery method were (813±187),(807 ± 181)and(713 ± 137)mm3,respectively.Argus method and manual method showed good correlation with surgery method,and the correlation coefficients were 0.897(Argus method)and 0.884(manual method),respectively.The time for manual method and Argu8 method were(44.3 ±2.7)and(12.2.±1.0)min,respectively.There was significant difference between Argus and manual methods (t=76.39,P＜0.05).Conclusion Compared with manual method,use of the Liver volumetric measurement by Argus software not only correlated well with Actual graft volume,but also saves time.Argus has potential clinical value for volumetric measurement in living liver transplant donors.

Objective To study the clinicopathological and immunohistochemical features, histogenesis and biological behavior of solid pseudopapillary tumor of the pancreas ( SPT ). Methods Routine HE and immunohistochemical ( SP) methods were used in 20 cases of SPT. Results There were 18 females and 2 males, age ranging from 13 to 48 years with mean age of 25. 3 years. Abdominal pain and palpable mass were among the main complains. Seventeen cases were followed-up from 9 to 120 monthes. Fourteen cases were alive. Tumors were encapsulated, mixed with solid and cystic tissues. Histological features were psudopapillary structure with a fibrovascular core. Immunohistogically, the tumors were positive for a-1-AT ( 17 cases) , vimentin ( 14 cases) , synaptophysin ( 10 cases) , CgA (5 cases) ,CK and insulin (2 cases) ,glucagon and S-100 (1 case) ,PR (14 cases) , ER (1 case) ,pS2 (6 cases) , but all were negative for CEA and gastrin. Conclusion SPT is of low-graded malignancy and a distinct clinicopathologic entity in young female patients with both exocrine as well as endocrine differentiation. The tumor is closely related with sex hormone receptors.

Objective To establish a optimal method and threshold of 3-deoxy-3-fluorothymidine (FLT) PET-CT in delineating the biological target length of gross tumor in esophageal carcinoma, and to compare FLT PET-CT with other imaging modalities including esophagoseopy, esophagography, CT and flu-orodeoxyglucose (FDG) PET-CT. Methods Twenty-four patients with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma treated with radical surgery were enrolled. Before surgery, all the patients underwent FLT PET-CT, esepha-goscopy and esophagography. Twenty-two patients also received FDG PET-CT scan. Gross tumor volumes (GTV) were delineated using seven different threshold of FLT PET-CT: visual interpretation, standardized uptake value (SUV) 1.3, SUV 1.4, SUV 1.5, 20% of maximum standard uptake value (SUV_(max)), 25% SUV_(max), and 30% SUV_(max). Three different thresholds of FDG PET-CT were used, including visual interpre-tation, SUV 2.5, and 40% SUV_(max). The length of tumors on FLT PET-CT scan were measured and recorded as L_(FLTvis), L_(FLT1.3), L_(FLT1.4), L_(FLT1.5), L_(FLT20%), L_(FLT25%), and L_(FLT30%), respectively. The length of tumors on FDG PET-CT scan were recorded as L_(FDGvis), L_(FDG2.5), and L_(FDG40%), respectively. The length of tumors on CT, esophagography and esophagoscopy were recorded as L_(CT), L_(X-ray) and L_(Scopy). All of these results were com-pared with the length of gross tumor in the reseeted specimen measured by pathological examination (L_(Path)), Results The L_(Path) was (4.90±2.14) cm. The Length of tumors delineated by different methods, being from short to long, were L_(FDG40%), L_(Scopy), L_(X-ray),L_(FLT1.5),L_(CT),L_(FLT30%),L_(FLTvis),L_(FLT1.4),L_(FLT25%), L_(FDG2.5),L_(FDGvis),L_(FLT1.3),L_(FLT20%). The mean values were (3.85±1.52), (4.46±2.23), (4.63± 2.37), (4.64±2.38),(4.69± 1.85),(4.75±2.19) ,(4.85±2.33),(4.87±2.35),(5.05±2.20), (5.08± 2.19) ,(5.10±2.22), (5.21±2.40) and (5.53±2.17) cm,respectively. The correlation coefficients were 0.91,0.93,0.88, 0.95, 0.90, 0.81,0.96, 0.96, 0.80, 0.99, 0.99, 0.95 and 0. 79 , respective-ly. All the P values were 0. 000. L_(FLT1.4) of FLT PET-CT and L_(FDG2.5) of FDG PET-CT were found more ap-proximate to L_(Path). There was no significant difference between L_(FLT1.4) and L_(FDG2.5) (1= 1.23, P = 0.232), and the correlation coefficient was 0.96 (P = 0. 000). Conclusions Thresholds of SUV 1.4 on FLT PET-CT and SUV 2.5 on FDG PET-CT could optimally estimate the tumor length measured by pathological examina-tion, and could be objective and simple methods for semiquantitative analysis.

Objective To investigate the dietary pattern in college freshmen students and to analyze the influencing factors on their dietary patterns. Methods A questionnaire survey on situation of dietary pattern and influencing factors was conducted among 1319 freshmen students.Results Four major dietary patterns were noticed and they were: Ⅰ , high consumption in hamburger,fried food, nuts, biscuit, chocolate, cola, coffee, sugars, Ⅱ, high consumption in pork, mutton, beef,poultry meat, animal liver, Ⅲ, high consumption in fresh fruits, eggs, fish and shrimps, kelp laver and sea fish, milk and dairy products, beans and bean products, Ⅳ, high consumption in rice and grain,fresh fruits, fresh vegetables, pork. Risk factors on dietary pattern were presented as follows: ( 1 )boys: having the food pattern Ⅰ and Ⅱ showed a strong positive association with the place where they live (OR= 1.67, 95％CI: 0.87-3.19; OR= 1.51,95％CI: 0.79-2.88), eating place (OR=1.63,95％CI: 1.O3-2.59; OR= 1.83, 95％CI: 1.04-3.23), level of mother' s education (OR=2.52,95％CI: 1.07-5.95; OR=3.38, 95％CI: 1.50-7.63), family income (OR=2.24, 95％CI: 1.30-3.88;OR=3.06, 95％ CI: 1.77-5.29) and the status of passive smoking (OR= 1.80, 95％CI: 0.70-4.59;OR=1.83, 95％CI: 0.75-4.45). Inverse correlations was found on the level of mother's education (OR=0.56,95％CI: 0.17-1.79). The food pattern Ⅳ showed a strong positive association with place of eating(OR= 1.83,95％CI: 1.04-3.23) but having an inverse correlation with the level of mother's education (OR=0.56, 95％CI: 0.17-1.79). (2)girls when compared with boys, the food pattern Ⅰ showed minor association with the places of living and eating; while the food pattern Ⅱ and Ⅲ had minor association with the status of passive smoking. Conclusion Socio-demographic factors and lifestyle had influenced on the dietary patterns among college freshmen students who should be guided to have a reasonable, balanced diet in the college.

Objective Through a two-year follow up program,this study was to analyze the urinary iodine frequency of a cohort in the intervention trial,concerning different doses of salt iodization,so as to explore the selection of appropriate concentration of salt iodization.Methods A multistage cluster sampling method was used to select three townships in two countries for community intervention with different doses [ ( 15 ± 5 ) mg/kg,(25 ± 5 ) mg/kg,( 35 ± 5 ) mg/kg ] of salt iodization.Results After intervention,the median of urinary iodine was reduced among the population.The urinary iodine frequencies of (15 ± 5) mg/kg and (25 ± 5) mg/kg among groups of children were mainly concentrated in 100-200 &mu;g/L and 200-300 &mu;g/L paragraphs in A county.While the 300 &mu;g/Lparagraph had an overall decline in B county,the 100 &mu;tg/L and 200 &mu;g/L paragraph ratio increased but the trend seemed to be slow.The 100-300 &mu;g/L paragraph of the four treatment groups took a larger proportion and kept smooth in a more ideal state.However,the control group still maintained at above 250 &mu;g/L level.Conclusion The iodine supplementation should be gradually implemented in Chongqing.The doses of salt iodization should be reduced from the current (35 ± 15)mg/kg to (25 ± 5) mg/kg in the economically developed areas.At the same time,we need to continuously follow the changes of the condition.
