Objective To investigate the related factors of effects on distant visual acuity after photodynamic therapy (PDT) for choroidal neovascularization (CNV). Methods One hundred and thirty-five cases (135 eyes) of CNV treated with PDT were observed. The gender, preoperative distant and near visual acuity, disease course, pathogeny, area of CNV, types of CNV ascertained by fundus fluorescein angiography (FFA), and changes of CNV in FFA were recorded. Multi-factor regression analysis of visual acuity within 1 month and 3 months after PDT was performed with SPSS statistics software. Results The distant visual acuity within 1 month postoperatively was related to the preoperative distant visual acuity, the area of CNV and the changes in the FFA(P=0.000,0.030,0.062), and 3 months after PDT, it was related to the distant and near visual acuity preoperatively and the changes in the FFA(P=0.000,0.054,0.034). The condition of distant visual acuity within 1 month postoperatively was related to the FFA type of CNV and the disease course(P =0.018,0.08). Conclusion The smaller the area of CNV is, the better postoperative distant visual acuity would be. The proportion of improvement of visual acuity is relatively higher in patients with classic CNV. Early treatment for the patients with the indicatio may improve the visual acuity effectively.

Methods Interview,question-naires and Principal component analysis were used to explore the coping strategies of college students on infectious diseases. Results Col-lege students' coping strategies to infectious diseases involving seeking social support and active problem solving two principal components, in-volving 19 aspects. Conclusion As for colleges,a support platform should be built and the ability to actively solve problems urged to be strengthened for students. Among the coping strategies of College students’ toward to the infectious diseases, students choose to seek social support more than to solve the problem initiatively, indicating that gender differences and the environment may be related. The results provide a theoretical reference to public health and health education.
6.Sacral plexus injury and anteroposterior compression zone-Ⅱsacral fractures:a cadaveric study
Chinese Journal of Trauma 2003;0(12):-
Objective To study the mechanism of sacral plexus injury resulting from anteroposteri- or compression zone-Ⅱsacral fractures. Methods Six short-term(within one year)embalmed pelves were obtained from Anatomic Department of Hebei Medical University. The preserved sacral plexus and re- sected pubic symphysis were used to make the models of anteropesterior compression zone-Ⅱsacral frac- tures.Quantitative analysis for fracture displacement was carried out to observe the characteristics and mechanism of sacral plexus injury. The removed sacral plexus was replaced by proportional diameter silica gel pips filled with contrast medium. The experimental procedure was repeated under X-ray.The experi- mental data were analyzed by SPSS 10.0 statistic software to obtain result. Results In anteropostefior compression sacral fracture, sacral nerve canal was gradually opened and its volume raised. No sacral nerve was opressed in nerve canal. However ilium external rotation prolonged sacral nerves, especially S_1,S_4 and the more the pubic symphsis was separated the more the sacral plexus nerves were prolonged. At the same time, the sharp border of fracture segment stabbed the nerves, especially L_5(6 cases),S_1(5 cases)and S_2 (3 eases).Conclsions Sacral plexus is tightly connected with the wall of pelvic cavity and fixed. When zone-Ⅱsacral fractures happen sacral plexus is easily damaged. In anteroposterior compression sacral fracture, nerves S_1 and S_4 are likely to be damaged by dragment, and nerve compression injury is attributed to stabbing by fracture segment border, with L_5 and S_1.more hackneyed.
