Objective:To investigate the expression of transforming growth factor-?1 (TGF-?1) in mandibular condylar chondrocytes after the condylar cartilage was stimulated by compressive stress.Methods:20 condylar cartilage samples were obtained from 10 new borne SD rats and cultured for 24 h.Then,10 samples were treated by a static compressive stress with a magnitude of 10 kPa for 1 h.Another 10 samples without stress treatment were used as the controls. At end of stress stimulation, the expression of TGF-?1 in the samples of both groups was examined by immunohistochemistry and image pattern analysis.Results:The grayscale values of TGF-?1 in perichondrium lay of stress treated and control samples were 159.21?19.84 and 174.20?14.47(P

Objective:To investigate the effects of the different static compressive stress on the proliferation and apoptosis of condylar chondrocytes in vitro.Methods: 0, 12, 24, 36 kPa static compressive stress were applied to the third passage of mandibular condylar chondrocytes for 1 hour respectively. The changes of proliferation and apoptosis of condylar chondrocytes were evaluated by flow cytometry analysis. Results: The index of proliferation and apoptosis of cells decreased with the magnitude value of static compressive stress except 24 kPa group. The most significant decrease of proliferative index and apoptosis index was found in 36 kPa group and 12 kPa group respectively. Conclusion: There might be some corelationships between magnitude of static compressive stress and the proliferation and apoptosis of condylar chondrocytes.

Objective To evaluate the clinical effect of single-site umbilical laparoscopy in the treatment for inguinal incarcerated hernia in children. Methods Retrospective reviews were conducted for the clinical data of the 105 children with inguinal incarcerated hernia during January 2010 to August 2014. According to different surgical approaches, data were divided into single-site laparoscopic surgery group (SLS, n=56) and open surgery group (OS,n=49). The follow-up period was 6-36 months. Results Two groups of patients were successfully completed surgery. The average operative duration was significantly longer in OS group (33.73±4.41)min than that of SLS group (26.14±5.17) min (P<0.01). The average operative blood loss was (3.18 ± 2.90) mL for OS group versus (1.73 ± 0.88) mL for SLS group (P<0.01). The hospitalization duration was (4.22±1.16) d for OS group versus (3.50±0.97) d for SLS group (P<0.01). The postoperative complications were 24.5%(12/49) for OS group and 8.9%(5/56) for SLS group. There was no recurrence of hernia in two groups. Conclusion Single-site umbilical laparoscopy is safe and efficacious for treatment of inguinal incarcerated hernia in children, which offers a new choice of treatment for occult inguinal hernia.

A database of Chinese drug prescriptions was developed by automatic abstraction of data from the papers on Chinese drug pre-scriptions using the regular expression form in order to provide a new visual angle for studying the information in Chinese drug prescriptions.

Objective To evaluate quantitatively the standing balance function of patients with lower limb prosthesis. Methods Twenty-two patients were divided into three groups according their conditions: group 1 consisted of patients with one leg amputated, group 2 consisted of patients with one amputated at high level, group 3 consisted of patients with both thighs amputated, and twenty-one normal subjects served as control. Parameters including the sway magnitude of gravity center, circumference area, drift in X vector, etc., were recorded and analyzed. Results The data obtained revealed that the sway magnitude, circumference area were increased, in all the cases, especially in those with lower limb prosthesis at both sides. Objective To study the hemoprotective effects of a rotary magnetic field(RMF)with radiation- injured mice.Methods C57 BL6/J mice were randomly divided into a control group and a magnetic treatment group.The mice received total body irradiation with 7.0 Gy and 6.5 Gy ~(137)Cs?rays.The treatment group was trea- ted with a RMF for one hour at a time,twice a day.The intensity of the RMF was 0.6T.The survival rate was ob- served for 30 days.On day 7,10,14,21,28 after irradiation,the subjects' peripheral blood cells were counted.On day 12 and 16,the number of bone marrow mononuelear cells(BMNCs)was measured and their ability to form granu- locyte-macruphage colony-forming unit(CFU-GM)was assessed.The pathological sectioning of the femur was per- formed and the expression level of bone morphogenetic proteins(BMPs)in the bone marrow were evaluated.Re- sults The RMF treatment increased the survival rate and duration among the irradiated mice and the number of blood cells in their peripheral blood.Also,RMF treatment could increase the number of BMNCs and improve their ability to form CFU-GM on days 12-16.Furthermore,RMF could improve angiogenesis and the expression level of BMPs. Conclusion The RMF treatment had an obvious protective effect against the effects of irradiation,and it accelerated the recovery of hematopoiesis and the hematopoietic microenviroment in mouse bone marrow.

Objective In order to find the polymorphism site applicable to efficient genetic diagnosis on Haemophilia A in Han Chinese Population in Wenzhou.Methods With the method of polymerase chain reaction(PCR) and polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis(PAGE),288 of X chromosomes from 96 men and 96 women were detected on the polymorphism of BCL I in the intron 18 of FV Ⅲ gene.Results The gene frequency of the polymorphic site BCL I was 34.38% in Han Chinese population in Wenzhou.43.75% women were heterozygous and the polymorphism information content(PIC) was 0.4512.Conclusion For Han Chinese population in Wenzhou,the BCL I genetic site has enough information,being one of the genetic markers with high polymorphism,applicable to the screening for carrier and prenatal diagnosis of Haemophilia A in Wenzhou.

Objective To explore the effects of dexmedetomidine on analgesia of general anesthesia in elderly patients with lumbar vertebra surgery.Methods From August 2013 to for August 2014, 80 cases elderly patients with fracture of lumbar vertebra and prepared to have an surgery of pedicle screw internal fixation in Department of Anesthesiology in Beijing Jishuitan Hospital were admitted , and divided into control group and observation group.The control group were continuously-pumped with sufentanil and the observation group with dexmedetomidine for anesthesia.The anesthetic effect were compared between two groups.Results The rate of sedative satisfaction in observation group post-anesthesia was higher than that in control group (100.0%vs.75.0%;χ2 =11.429,P<0.05).The Ramesay score, awaking and extubation time perioperational period in observation group were lower than those in control group(P<0.05).The analgesic effect in observation group was higher than that in control group(100.0%vs. 90.0%;χ2 =4.211,P<0.05).Conclusion Dexmedetomidine has the obvious sedative and analgesic effect on elderly patients with lumbar vertebra surgery.

Objective:To determine the effects of silencing glucose regulated protein ( GRP94 ) on the proliferation and apoptosis of breast carcinoma MCF7 cells. Methods:Chemically synthesized siRNA targeting GRP94 gene and transfected into MCF7 cells used by Liopfectamine RNAIMAX. The mRNA and protein expression levels of GRP94,cyclinD1,Bax and Bcl-2 were detected by Real-time PCR and Western blot. CCK8 assay was used to detect the effect of specific GRP94 siRNA on cell proliferation and the effect on cell cycle and apoptosis were analyzed by flow cytometry and Hoechst 33258 staining. Results:Compared with the siRNA-NC cells, the expression of GRP94 was significantly down-regulated in MCF7 cells. Knockdown of GRP94 in MCF7 cells decreased cell proliferation and promoted cell apoptosis. The expression of cyclinD1and Bcl-2levels were significantly reduced, and Bax level was increased in siRNA-GRP94 MCF7 cells. Conclusion: The siRNA-mediated GRP94 silence significantly inhibits MCF7 cell proliferation,promoted cell apoptosis by down-regulating cyclin D1,Bcl-2 expression and up-regulating the Bax expression in MCF7 cells.
