Chinese Journal of Gastroenterology 2016;21(2):101-103
Background:Helicobacter pylori( Hp)is the main cause of chronic gastritis( CG),and CagA and VacA are important pathogenic factors of Hp. Recent studies have indicated that CagA and VacA antibodies of Hp have close relationship with gastric cancer(GC)and peptic ulcer(PU). Aims:To investigate the relationship between different antibodies of Hp and GC,PU and CG in Xinjiang area. Methods:Eighty-four GC,108 PU and 196 CG patients from Jan. 2014 to Aug. 2014 were enrolled. 14 C-urea breath test was used to determine Hp infection. Hp was typed by immunoblotting technique. Relationship between different Hp antibodies and patients with GC,PU and CG was analyzed. Results:Type Ⅰ Hp-positive rate in GC,PU and CG groups was decreased stepwisely(47. 6% ,37. 0% ,21. 4% , respectively). The positive rates of Hp strains(CagA-128 kDa,VacA-110 kDa and UreB-66 kDa)differed significantly among GC,PU,and CG groups(P = 0. 013,P = 0. 011,P = 0. 002);GC was associated with CagA-128 kDa,VacA-110 kDa,VacA-90 kDa and UreB-66 kDa(P < 0. 05),PU was associated with VacA-110 kDa,UreB-66 kDa(P < 0. 05). UreB-66 kDa was the risk factor of PU and GC(P < 0. 05). Conclusions:GC is associated with CagA-128 kDa,VacA-110 kDa,VacA-90 kDa and UreB-66 kDa,PU is associated with VacA-110 kDa,UreB-66 kDa,and UreB-66 kDa is the risk factor of PU and GC.

Clinical Medicine of China 2010;26(6):596-598
Objective To investigate the risk factors, clinical characteristics, treatment and prognosis of aortic dissection. Methods Forty-four patients with aortic dissection were analyzed from 2005 to 2008 in our hospital retrospectively. Results Hypertension was a common cause of aortic dissection. Aortic dissection showed diverse clinical manifestations. Chest pain was a common initial symptom, whereas some patients' initial symptoms were atypical(e. g. complications). CT and MRI examination could diagnose aortic dissection at a high accurate rate compared with echocardiography. However, ultrasound examination was cheap and convenient, thus could be used as routine examination when someone has suspected diagnosis. As to the treatment of aortic dissection, there were medical conservative, surgical and endovascular stent treatment Conclusions Hypertension is a major risk factor of aorticdissection. Aortic dissection showed diverse clinical manifestations, thus misdiagnosis may occur frequently. Medical treatment should combine a variety of antihypertensive drugs. Surgery or interventional therapy according to the clinical type and condition can reduce the fatality and improve the prognosis of patients.

Objective To investigate the expression of LOXL2 protein (lysyl oxidase like-2 protein) and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) related markers in cholangiocarcinoma tissues and its relation with the malignant features. Methods The expression of LOXL2、E-cadherin and Vimentin protein in 48 cases of cholangiocarcinoma tissues was detected by immunohistochemistry and compared with the clinicopathological data of cholangiocarcinoma. Results The positive expression rate in cholangiocarcinoma was 71% ( 34/48 ) for LOXL2 and 46% ( 22/48 ) for Vimentin, the absent expression rate was 52% (25/48) for E-cadherin. The positive expression rate of LOXL2 was significantly associated with the absent expression of epithelium markers E-cadherin ( r = 0. 394, P < 0. 05 ) and the positive expression of fibroblast markers Vimentin ( r = 0. 406, P < 0. 05 ). There was no correlation between the expression of LOXL2 and patients gender, age, and cancer differentiation, but a significant correlation with tumor metastasis was found ( P < 0. 05 ). Conclusions LOXL2 protein overexpression in cholangiocarcinoma may accelerate invasion of cholangiocarcinoma through induced EMT.

Chinese Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma 2017;19(5):399-403
Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of water jet debridement combined with negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) for the treatment of early infection after fracture internal fixation. Methods The study cohort included 6 men and one woman with an average age of 43.6 years (range, from 36 to 58 years) who had presented with early infection after fracture internal fixation from October 2013 to March 2015.All the patients sustained closed fractures initially. The wound debridement was done within 3 to 5 days after the infection was confirmed. The length and depth of an incision was determined by the methylene staining range.Water jet was used to eliminate the dying tissues thoroughly from a shallower layer to a deeper layer while the internal fixator was retained. The wound was closed by full thickness sutures in a sparse fashion for drainage.Sensitive antibiotics were systematically administered for all the patients. The NPWT device was kept for 5 days. Results All the wounds healed uneventfully after an average of 18 days (range, from 10 to 25 days). The mean follow-up time was 12 months (range, from 8 to 24 months). No antibiotics were used during follow-up.There were no local or systematical symptoms like new sinus, broken wound or fever.Bony callus formed at the fracture sites after an average of 4.3 months (range, from 2.5 to 8.0 months) and no fracture nonunion happened. All the fractures healed after an average of 10.1 months (range, from 5.5 to 16.0 months). All the patients were satisfied with their treatment outcomes. Conclusion Since water jet provides simple, rapid and radical debridement while NPWT simplifies operative procedures and promotes wound healing, combination of the two can be an effective treatment for early infection after fracture internal fixation.

Infectious bursal disease virus (IBDV) is an important member of the Birnaviridae family. IBUV mainly targets the bursa of Fabricius, the central immune organ of chicken, resulting in chicken infectious bursal disease (IBD). IBD represents one of the great challenges for ongoing development of the poultry industry. Reverse genetics for IBDV emerged over twenty years ago. Since then, the technologies behind virus rescue have continually improved leading to a deep understanding of IBDV gene function and tailored vaccine development. Our lab has also been instrumental in the field of IBDV research. Here we review studies on the pathogenic mechanism and the effective prevention and control of IBD.
