Chinese Journal of Parasitology and Parasitic Diseases 1987;0(01):-
Objective To understand the relationship between Demodex and bacteria infection in rosacea (brandy nose), and to find effective means for the treatment. MethodsCellophane tape was used to detect Demodex on the nasolabial grooves and the face; sebum and tissue on face was scraped and cultured to examine bacteria under microscope. The hospital_made anti_rosacea lotion was used on the affected part two times a day for 7 days. Results It was found that 193 (74^2%) of 260 cases with rosacea were infected by Demodex and 209 (80^4%) of the patients were infected by bacteria. The overall effective rate of the treatment for rosacea was 73^5%. Conclusion Bacteria infection in rosacea is an important factor inducing rosacea. The curative effect of the anti_rosacea lotion is good.

Objective To explore the clinical significances of leukocyte (WBC ) ,C‐reactive protein (CRP ) and procalcitonin (PCT) in early diagnosis of bacterial bloodstream infections (BSI) ,in order to provide references for early diagnosis of BSI . Methods The detection results of WBC ,PCT and CRP from 48 cases of patients with positive blood culture(positive blood culture group) and 50 cases of patients with negative blood culture(negative blood culture group) were retrospectively analysed .Then com‐pared the detection results between the two groups ,and between patients with gram‐positive bacteria infection and those with gram‐negative bacteria infection in the positive blood culture group .The diagnostic performance of WBC ,PCT and CRP were determined by drawing the receiver operator characteristic(ROC) curves ,and areas under ROC curves(ACUs) were calculated .The perform‐ance of the three indicators in predicting BSI were evaluated by using the binary logistic regression analysis .Results The levels of PCT and CRP in positive blood culture group was significantly higher than those in negative blood culture group ,had statistically significant differences(P<0 .05) ,while no statistically significant difference was found in WBC count between the two groups(P>0 .05) .In the positive blood culture group ,statistically significant difference was only found in PCT level between patients with gram‐positive bacteria infection and patients with gram‐negative bacteria infection(P<0 .05) .The AUCs of WBC ,PCT and CRP were 0 .579 ,0 .746 and 0 .624 ,respectively .The result of the binary logistic regression analysis showed that only PCT made a unique statistically significant contribution to the model(P=0 .013) for predictive diagnosis of BSI .And the positive predictive rate of joint detection of these three indicators was 71 .4% .Conclusion WBC ,PCT and CRP could be indicators for early diagnosis of BSI ,while PCT and CRP might have much more important significance ,moreover ,PCT could distinguish between gram‐positive bacterial in‐fection and gram‐negative bacteria infection .

Journal of Regional Anatomy and Operative Surgery 2016;25(9):662-664,665
Objective To explore the impact of elective caesarean section and vaginal delivery on maternal pelvic floor dysfunction. Methods A total of 131 pregnant women from January 2014 to March 2015 in our hospital were divided into observation group which re-ceived elective caesarean section and control group which received vaginal delivery. All the maternal and neonatal clinical data were counted. The occurrence of pelvic floor dysfunction disease in postpartum women after 6 to 8 weeks was observed. The occurrence of vaginal wall pro-lapse,uterine prolapse, stress urinary incontinence (SUI)and maternal pelvic floor muscle damage between two groups were compared and analyzed. Results There were varying degrees anterior vaginal wall prolapse phenomenon occured on 31 cases in obervation group, the pro-lapse rate was 67.39%,compared with 92.94% of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05).Observation group with 13 cases of descent vaginae posterior, the prolapse rate was only 28.26%,compared with 75.29% of the control group, the differ-ence was statistically significant (P <0.05 ).The maternal uterine prolapse rate of observation group was about 13.04%,compared with 35.29%(30 cases)of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05).Observation group with 6 cases of maternal SUI, the probability is about 13.04%,compared with 29.41% of control group, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05).There was no significant difference in deep and shallow maternal pelvic floor muscle between two groups(P >0.05).Conclusion To adopt elective cesar-ean section has a lower probabilities of postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction disease than that by vaginal delivery for maternal women, which is propitious to the recovery of pregnant women, while it has nothing to do with pelvic floor muscle damage.

BACKGROUND: There are no ideal substitutes for meniscus. Meniscel allograft transplantation has become a feasible method to retain maniscal function following injury. Currently, the meniscus conservancy methods include fresh meniscus, low temperature preserved meniscus; freeze-dried meniscus.OBJECTIVE: To observe the long-term effects of meniscus allograft transplantation by different methods.METHODS: A total of 70 adult New Zealand rabbits were used, and 30 were selected as meniscus donors. The remaining 40 rabbits were divided into 4 groups (n=10): after meniscectomy, control group was not treated; fresh group underwent fresh meniscus allograft transplantation; low temperature group underwent low temperature preserved meniscus allograft transplantation; freeze-dried group underwent freeze-dried meniscus allograft transplantation. Of 30 donors, 10 received fresh meniscus transplantation, and the other received temperature preserved meniscus and freeze-dried meniscus transplantation 1 week after low temperature and freeze dried preservation. The rabbits were sacrificed 12 months after surgery for gross and histological observation.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: The meniscus allografts of rabbits healed well, and no rabbits died. Gross observation showed that the appearance and elasticity of fresh meniscus group was similar to normal meniscus; tibial plateau was covered well, with no additional wearing in the cartilage of tibial plateau or condyles of femur. In low temperature and freeze-dried preservation groups, the meniscus grafts healed well, but their volume was small and the elasticity was poor; tibial plateau was only partially covered.Pathological observation suggested that fresh meniscus group had orderly arranged collage fiber and similar chondrocyte appearance, number and distribution to normal meniscus, while sparse collagen fiber end small number of meniscus grafts were observed in the other groups. Results show that meniscal allogrefting can survive, retain certain function and structure and prevent the degenerative changes of the knee joint. Moreover, fresh meniscal grafts exhibit best effects, as the grafts following low temperature or freeze-dried preservation degenerate and their volume diminish 1 year following meniscectomy.

Chinese Journal of Virology 2014;30(3):278-284
In this study, pEGFP-N1 was chosen as the reporter plasmid and transferred into Ctenopharyngodon idellus kidney (CIK) cells by electroporation, and the optimal electroporation conditions were determined by testing the transfection efficiency with different voltages, pulse times, plasmid amounts, and numbers of shocks. The results showed that the maximum electroporation efficiency was achieved under the following conditions in a 0.2 cm electroporation cuvette containing CIK cells (1.5 x 10(7)/mL, 200 microl): electric voltage 200 V, pulse time 45 ms, plasmid 30 microg, and one electric shock. The total genomic RNA of grass carp reovirus (GCRV) was extracted in this experiment and reversely transcribed into cDNA, which was used to amplify the gene segment of GCRV non-structural protein NS26 using designed specific primers. The PCR product was recombined into pEGFP-N1 vector. The fusion protein EGFP-NS26 was successfully and efficiently expressed in the CIK cells by electroporation, which was confirmed by both fluorescent imaging and Western blot analysis. This experiment laid a foundation for further functional studies of the non-structural protein NS26 of GCRV.

Chinese Journal of Orthopaedics 2011;31(5):424-430
Objective To measure the range of motion (ROM) of the lumbar pedicle screw entrance point (LPSEP) in vivo during unrestricted motion under physiological weight bearing. Methods Eleven healthy volunteers aged 45-60 years underwent MRI scans in a supine position.Three-dimensional (3D) models of L2-5 were constructed.Next, each volunteer was asked to stand and was positioned in the following sequence:standing,45° flexion, maximal extension, maximal left-right twisting, while two orthogonal fluoroscopic images were taken simultaneously at each position. The MRI models were matched to the osseous outlines of the images from the two orthogonal views to determine the position of the vertebrae in 3D at each position.Coordinate systems were established to study the ROM of the LPSEP.Results The predominant translations were along anteroposterior and craniocaudal axis from supine to standing position (average,2.44mm and 2.35 mm).Rotation of the LPSEP occurred mainly around the mediolateral axis(average,3.91 °).During flexion-extension movements of the trunk, the predominant translation were along anteroposterior and craniocaudal axis and rotation were around mediolateral axis.During lateral bending and twisting,ROM of LPSEP did not rotate or translate in one dominant direction.Instead, the resulting motion represented a combination of rotation and translation in different directions. There was no significantly difference in translation and rotation between the three axis in L4,5segment (P>0.05).Conclusion The kinematic behaviors of the LPSEP of the upper lumbar spine (L2,3 and L3,4) are similar which are different from that of the lower lumbar spine (L4,5).
