1.Preparation and quality control of Xiao'er re'qing Massage Gel

Objective:To prepare Xiao'er re'qing Massage Gel and establish a quality control method.Methods:The principal agent was the extractive of Bupleurum chinense and Radix Scutellariae,Carbomer was the base.Qualitation identification of the principal agents such as Bupleurum chinense,Ramulus Cinnamomi,etc.were performed by TLC,the content of baicalin was detemined by HPLC.Results:The gel was yellow and delicate semiliquid.The TLC spots were clear,the linear range of baicalin was 0.1-0.9?g,the average recovery was 99.40%.Conclusion:The preparation of the gel was simple,the gel was stable and its quality can be controlled.
2.Content Determination of Berberine Hydrochloride in Pessums by TLC-scanning

OBJECTIVE:To establish determine the content of berberine hydrochloride in the pessums.METHODS:Ben-zene-ethyl acetate-isopropanol-methanol-water(6∶3∶1.5∶1.5∶3)were taken as developers,which were detected under the UV light(365nm)and scanned by TLC scanner with the detective wavelength at430nm.RESULTS:The linear range of berberine hydrochloride on calibration curve was sample size0.25?g~1.25?g(r=0.9987),the average recovery rate was97.63%(RSD=1.88%).CONCLUSIONS:The method is simple,accurate and available for the quality control of pessums.
3.Effect of Amylum Pregelatinisatum on the Dissolution of Calcium Dobesilate Capsule

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effects of amylum pregelatinisatum on the dissolution of calcium dobesilate capsule.METHODS:The amount of amylum pregelatinisatum was optimized by means of the determination of angle of repose and the in vitro dissolution,using the single factor design.The comparisons of effects of different manufactory of amylum pregelatinisatum on formulation and dissolution of capsule were done.RESULTS:Amylum pregelatinisatum could improve significantly the fluidity of powder of capsule.The dissolution of calcium dobesilate capsule were decreased with the increment of amylum pregelatinisatum.It demonstrated that the fluidity of powder and dissolution of calcium dobesilate capsule were the best when the ratio of amylum pregelatinisatum and microcrystalline cellulose was 1∶3 and the amount of sodium carboxymethyl starch was 4 %.The different resource of amylum pregelatinisatum had great effect on the dissoution of the formulation.CONCLUSION:Amylum pregelatinisatum is a favourable filler adjuvant of capsule,but its quantity and the quality should make an optimization.
4.Treatment of obstructive sleep apnea using bi-polar radiofrequency and oral appliance

Objective: To evaluate the effects of the combined radiofrequency (RF) with oral appliance (OA) therapy on obstructive sleep apnea(OSA). Methods: 15 patients with OSA were diagnosed by overnight monitoring of polysomnography(PSG).They all received bi-polar radiofrequency treatment on palate twice.Polysomnography were taken for the patients 6 weeks after the second RF treatment. 10 cases without TMJ disease and periodontal disease with more than 10 teeth on each of maxillae or mandibulae were treated with OA. 5.Culture of rat skeletal muscle satellite cells and their response to stimulation by insulin-like growth factor

Objective To observe the proliferation and differentiation properties of rat skeletal muscle satellite cells that are dissected,cultured and purified in vitro and investigate their response to stimulation by insulin-like growth factor I(IGF-I).Methods The cells were isolated from Wistar rats by two-step enzyme digestion and purified by the Percoll density centrifugation to observe their prolif- eration and differentiation properties and draw growth curve and fusion rate curve.Then,the response of the satellite cells to stimulation by IGF-I at various concentrations was determined by using MTT meth- od.Results Plenty and purified satellite cells were obtained via these methods.Conclusion IGF- I at appropriate concentration(100 ng/ml)can promote the proliferation and differentiation of rat skele- tal muscle satellite cells.
6.Soft- and hard-tissue changes after extraction space closure with micro-screw implant

Objective To investigate the changes of soft and hard tissues after extraction space closure with micro-screw implant as orthodontic anchorage. Methods Twenty cases were selected randomly with the first premolars extraction. Micro-screw implant was used as orthodontic anchorage. Sliding technique was used to close the extraction space. The lateral cephalograms before and after the treatment were evaluated.Results The upper incisors moved 7. 15 mm palatelly, 1. 63 mm intruded. The upper first molar moved 0. 80 mm distally, 1. 80 mm intruded. The lower incisors moved 4. 65 mm distally, 0.48 mm extruded. The lower first molar moved 0. 18 mm mesially, 1.18 mm extruded. A point, B point, upper lip, lower lip showed distal movement. Conclusions Micro-screw implant can provide acceptable and reliable anchorage in the process of extraction space closure, and improve the profile. Besides, it produces skeletal change on the maxilla.

8.Protective effect of hydrogen-rich saline on liver mitochondrial in-jury in rats with ischemia-reperfusion

Objective:To study the effect of hydrogen-rich saline on the prevention of liver mitochondrial injury induced by isch-emia-reperfusion (I/R) in rats. Methods:Male Sprague-Dawley rats (n=42) were randomly divided into three experimental groups (n=14), namely, sham-operated, I/R plus saline-treated (5 mL/kg, i.p.), and I/R plus hydrogen-rich saline-treated (5 mL/kg, i.p.) groups. Mi-tochondrial oxidative stress and functions, as well as morphologic changes in the mitochondria, were detected 180 min after reperfu-sion. Results:After I/R, mitochondrial swelling and vague cristae were observed. Mitochondrial functions were significantly decreased, but mitochondrial MDA and GSSH contents were increased by I/R. Hydrogen-rich saline reduced these markers, improved mitochondri-al ATP content and respiratory function, and relieved morphological mitochondrial injury (P<0.01). Conclusion:Hydrogen-rich saline attenuated I/R-induced liver mitochondrial damage and reduced mitochondrial oxidative stress.
9.Protective effect of hydrogen-rich saline on ischemia-reperfusion-induced liver injury in rats

Objective To study the effects of hydrogen-rich saline (HS) on the protection of hepatic injury induced by ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) in rats.Methods Male Sprague-Dawley rats (n =60) were randomly divided into three experimental groups:sham-operated group,I/R plus saline treatment group,and I/R plus hydrogen-rich saline treatment group.Reperfusion liver was conducted 180 mins after liver ischemia.Blood samples and liver tissues were collected.Result Serum ALT,AST levels,and MDA content,HMGB1,TNF-α,IL-1β and IL-6 levels in liver tissue were increased,but SOD and GSH activity were decreased significantly by I/R.Hydrogen-rich saline reduced oxidative stress and inflammatory reaction,and relieved morphological liver injury (P < 0.01).Conclusion Hydrogen-rich saline attenuated I/R induced liver damage by reduction of oxidative injury and inflammatory reaction.
10.Effects of alendronate on articular cartilage degeneration in rats with anterior cruciate ligament transaction
