Objective To observe the changes of plasma urotensinⅡ(UⅡ)、PAMP(proadrenomedullin N-terminal peptide)and ANP(atrial natriuretic peptide)levels in patients with congestive heart failure (CHF) and to illustrate clinical significance of these changes.Methods 52 patients with CHF and 20 age and gender-matched control subjects were studied.Plasma UⅡ.PAMP and ANP levels of 52 patients with CHF and 20 control subjects were measured by radioimmunoassay.Heart function of all study subjects were mensurated by ultrasound cardiography.Results The plasma UⅡ levels were significantly lower in patients with CHF than that in control subjects [(1.48?1.05) vs (4.28?1.21) pg?mL -1,P

Objective To explore the relationship between the variation of leptin receptor (LR) gene and type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM), obesity and plasma lipid levels. Methods The variation of LR gene exon 20 was detected by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) and their relations to type 2 DM and obesity were analyzed. Results The variant frequency at 3 057 nucleotide of G to A transversion was 82.09% for total, 87.33% for DM group, 75.42% for control group. The frequency of AA genotype in DM cases was higher than that in controls, but that of GA genotype was lower, and that of GG in cases did not indicate. According to BMI and WHR level, there was no obvious relationship between gene variations and obesity. There were significant differences between AA genotype and GA genotype about the serum levels of TG, HDL and SBP, DBP. Conclusion At nucleotide 3 057 in LR exon 20, a G to A transversion was found, which may be the susceptibility marker of DM in Chongqing population. An allele was associated with high blood lipid and increased blood pressure.

Because of the close relationship with stomach cancer and higher rates of carcinoma, gastric epithelial dysplasia associated with chronic atrophic gastritis is considered the most important precancerous lesion of stomach cancer. Due to the absence of recognized treatment methods, periodical follow-up and monitoring were considered an effective method to prevent the occurrence of gastric cancer. Currently, there are numerous areas requiring attention; the authors provide some suggestions on the recognition and key technologies for follow-up and re-examination.

Objective To explore the value of multivoxel 1H-MRS in the differential diagnosis of corpus callosum lesions.Methods 17 patients with corpus callosum lesions confirmed by clinical or pathological method underwent MRS examination.These patients included 2 cases of lymphoma,4 cases of Marchiafava-Bignami disease,3 cases of glioma, 7 cases of infarction,and 1 case of multiple sclerosis.MRS features of lesions were analyzed.Results 2 cases with corpus callosum lymphoma revealed significantly increased Cho peak, decreased Cr and NAA peak,towering Lip peak.Among 4 cases with Marchiafava-Bignami diseases, 2 cases revealed increased Cho/Cr and decreased NAA/Cr,1 case showed normal,1 case revealed inverted Lac peak.For 3 cases with corpus callosum glioma,NAA peak decreased or disappeared,and Cho peak increased in varying degrees.7 cases with corpus callosum infarction revealed significant inverted Lac peak, and NAA peak decreased in varying degrees.1 case of multiple sclerosis revealed increased Cho peak,decreased NAA peak,and inverted Lac peak during acute period with enhancement,while these features returned normal during inactive period.Conclusion Multivoxel 1H-MRS plays an important role in the differential diagnosis of corpus callosum lesions.

Objective To investigate the value of modified loop ileostomy in laparoscopic low and superlow radical resection of the rectal cancer with reservation of anus.Methods The clinical data of 108 patients who received laparoscopic low and super-low radical resection of rectal cancer with preservation of anus at the Subei Hospital of Jiangsu Province from January 2010 to June 2012 were retrospectively analyzed.Fifty-three patients who received preventive ileostomy were in the ileostomy group,and 55 patients who did not receive preventive ileostomy were in the non-ileostomy group.The operation,incidence of complication and follow-up of the 2 groups were analyzed.All data were analyzed using the t test,chi-square text or Fisher exact test.Results The operation time and blood loss were (185 ± 14)minutes and (31 ± 26)ml in the ileostomy group,and (154 ± 12)minutes and (28 ± 19)ml in the non-ileostomy group,with no significant difference between the 2 groups (t =2.34,1.82,P ＞ 0.05).The time to first flatus,time to liquid diet intake,time to pelvic drainage tube removal,duration of hospital stay,hospital costs were (1.1 ± 0.3) days,(1.1 ± 0.2) days,(5.2 ± 1.0) days,(7.2 ± 1.4) days,(3.0 ± 0.2) ×104 yuan in the ileostomy group,and (4.2 ± 0.6) days,(4.3 ± 0.6) days,(8.4 ± 3.9) days,(12.9 ±4.4)days,(3.8 ±0.7) × 104 yuan in the non-ileostomy group,with significant differences between the 2 groups (t =7.25,28.12,15.34,34.01,7.83,P ＜ 0.05).The incidences of postoperative complications and anastomotic fistula were 5.7％ (3/53) and 0 in the ileostomy group,and 21.8％ (12/55) and 12.7％ (7/55) in the non-ileostomy group,with significant differences between the 2 groups (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion Modified loop ileostomy in laparoscopic low and super-low radical resection of rectal cancer can effectively reduce the incidence of anastomotic fistula,and helps the recovery of patients.

Objective To investigate the contractive effect of atropine, noradrenaline,adrenaline and pethidine on sphincter of Oddi (SO) isolated from rabbits. Methods The rings of SO isolated from 60 rabbits were treated with Krebs solution and then were exposed to gradient atropine,anisodamin, noradrenalin, adrenaline or pethidine with 10 each. The rest 10 rings of SO treated with Krebs solution only were served as controls. The amplitude and frequency of contraction of SO were recorded. Results Compared with control group, all of the 5 medicines were able to significantly decrease the contractive amplitude, but not frequency, of SO at the concentrations ranged from 10-6 mol/L to 10-2 mol/L (P＜0.05). The inhibition order was as follows: noradrenaline ＞ adrenaline ＞atropine ＞ anisodamin ≈ pethidine. Conclusions Beside atropine and anisodamin, noradrenaline,adrenaline and pethidine also showed the direct relaxation of SO by decreasing contractive amplitude of SO. Adrenaline or noradrenaline displayed stronger effect in decreasing contractive amplitude of SO when compared with atropine or anisodamin.

AIM:To investigate the expression pattern of apolipoprotein M (apoM) protein in renal cortex of acute renal failure (ARF) rats with reperfusion. METHODS:Seventy-five male rats were randomly divided into sham operation group (n=25),ARF group (n=25) and pyrrolidine dithiocarbamat (PDTC) group (n=25),five subgroups at time points of 3 h,6 h,12 h,24 h and 48 h after reperfusion were set up in each group.
