Hepatocyte growth factor(HGF) is a mesenchyme-derived pleiotropic factor which regulates cell growth,cell motility,and morphogenesis of various types of cells,and is thus considered a humoral mediator of epithelial-mesenchymal interactions responsible for angiogenesis,apoptosis and oxidative stress,etc.This article reviewed the relationships between HGF and cardiovascular diseases.

Objective:By observing effects of Dahuang Zhechong Pills on CD44,VEGF and the metastasis suppressor in mice with Lewis Lung carcinoma,to discuss its mechanism of anti-tumor metastasis preliminarily.Methods:The mice were divided randomly into five groups the day after modeling and each group included ten mice.According to the pre-test,high-dose,medium-dose and low-dose were quantitated with 0.18g/ml,0.09 g/ml,0.045g/ml.The model group was intragastric administrated with NS 0.2ml for ten days;the chemotherapy group was Intraperitoneal administrated 50mg/kg CTX on the first day.Observing and numerating the pulmonary metastases with nodules by pulmonary pressure slide film on the 12th day.Based on immunohistochemical method to detect the expression of VEGF and the activity detection by flow cytometry CD44,Its anti-tumor mechanism and the role of target were preliminarily studied.Results:The inhibition rates of lung spontaneous metastasis in experimental groups of high(H),medium(M),low(L)dosages and the chemotherapy group were respectively 57.44 percent, 55.32 percent,38.72 percent,60.00 percent.CD44,respectively,values were 0.59?0.86,0.21?0.28,0.33?0.31,1.36?0.52; the experimental group(M)compared with model group,VEGF expression was significantly reduced,there was a significant difference(P0.05).Conclusion:Dahuang Zhechong Pills reduced the lung metastases incidence of C57BL mice with Lewis lung carcinoma and prolonged their lives.These results were obvious in the medium-dose experimental group.Medium-dose of Dahuang Zhechong Pills had effects on C57BL mice with Lewis lung carcinoma,whose CD44 activity were inhibited and the expression of VEGF was reduced.

Using Vibrio fluvialis Ⅱ as host bacteria, 19 bacteriophages have been isolated from the 76 samples which were collected from Haliotis discus hannai ～growing seawater in Dalian marine culture company Dalian, liaoning province from May in 1996 to August I 1997. Ultrastructure of 19 bacteriophages were observed with electron to Bradley the results showed that of these bacteriophages belonged to Bradley A type, they have hexagonal heads of bacteriophages were identified with VP1,VP2,VP4,VP8 as representatives respectively. The phages remain stable at pH6. 0～10. 0, moreover VP2,VP4 and VP8 are rather stable at basic pHs. Although the characterization of heat inactivation course of VP4 is different from others, four phages are sensitive to heat and inactivated at 80℃ in 5 minutes. One step growth experiment showed that the eclipse period of VP1,VP2,VP4,VP8 are sensitive to heat and the eclipse period of VP1, VP2, VP4, VP8 are 42, 30, 46, 28 minutes. In this experiment we have isolated at least four different types phages, it suggest that in fact there is a population of phages in the seawater environment. The result of this study provided a way to find the potential value of phages as an indicator of pathogenic microorganisms Vibrio fluvilis Ⅱ in marine environment.

Objective To explore the effect of brain derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF) on the birth weight and the brain weight of newborn rats with intrauterine growth retardation(IUGR).Methods Female and male Sprague-Dawley rats were mated together and the vaginal plug formation after mating was for pregnancy diagnosis.The day when the plug was observed was considered day 1 of gestation.Then,the pregnant rats were divided into IUGR group and sham surgery group.On day 17 of gestation,the uterine arteries of pregnant rats in IUGR group were clamped for 30 min by blood vessel forceps after abdominal cavity with clamping blood uessels was opened.The pegnant rats in sham surgery group only had abdominal cavity opened without clamping blood vessels.Then the pegnant rats in IUGR group received 9 g/L saline(IUGR group) or BDNF 1 ?g injected in the rat through caudal veins for 5 days after surgery(BDNF intervention group).After vaginal birth,the weight of newborn rats and their brain weigh were measured and analyzed.Results Compared with the sham surgery group,the birth weight and brain weight of IUGR group group rats decreased by 24.9% and 17.3%,respectively,the results were significant(Pa

Objective To evaluate the therapy and turnover of Kawasaki disease(KD)with glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase(G-6-PD)deficiency.Methods Six hundred and twenty-four patients with KD were selected including 32 patients who had G-6-PD defected.The same dose intravenous immunoglobulin(IVIG)was used in all 624 patients(2 g/kg),but used Dipyridamole in 32 patients had G-6-PD deficiency which replaced the role of acetylsalicylic acid(ASA)after acute period.The coronary artery of these patients were checked and followed-up through echocardiograph.The turnover of 32 patients with G-6-PD deficiency and 356 case selected randomly from all the KD patients were compared.SPSS 10.0 software was used to analyze the data.Results In 32 cases of KD with G-6-PD deficiency,4 children had coronary aneurysm(12.5%).After 6-12 months follow-up,the coronary lesions were recovered in 62.5% children,improved in 21.9% children and not improved in 15.6% childern,which were not significantly different from all the KD patients(Z=-1.604 P=1.09).Conclusions IVIG and Dipyridamole are feasible in treating KD with G-6-PD deficiency.J Appl Clin Pediatr,2009,24(1):26-27
