3.Clinical study on nutriti0nal interventi0n in patients with Alzheimer(s) disease
Parenteral & Enteral Nutrition 2017;24(2):75-77
Objective:To explore the effects of nutritional intervention on the nutritional status, cognitive function and activities of daily living (ADL) in patients with Alzheimer's Disease (AD).Methods:90 AD patients were randomly divided into the control group and the intervention group, with 45 cases in each group.Patients in the control group received anti-dementia drugs, and patients in the intervention group additionally received TPF-T as the oral nutritional supplement. The nutritional status and nutritional biochemical indicators, cognitive function and ADL of two groups were evaluated when enrolled and 6 months later after the treatment. Results:After 6 months'treatment, the nutritional status,MMSE,ADL scores and nutritional indicators of patients in the intervention group were significantly improved compared to the control group (P < 0.05).Conclusion:Nutritional intervention can effectively improve the nutritional status, cognitive function and ADL of patients with dementia.
4. Identification of metastasis-Associated alternatively spliced variants of CD99 in clear cell renal cell carcinoma tissues
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2010;30(4):355-359
Objective: To identify the metastasis-associated splice variants of CD99 and investigate the mRNA expression of the splice variants in clear cell renal cell carcinoma(ccRCC) tissues, so as to investigate its relationship with the initiation and progression of ccRCC. Methods: Alternative Splicing Database was used to predict the splice variants of CD99. The six predicted splice variants of CD99 were identified in the metastatic tissues, primary ccRCCs and normal tissues adjacent to cancer by using self-designed primer sets, and were cloned into vectors and sequenced. The mRNA expression of CD99 type I, CD99 type II, and CD99-III were detected in 9 metastatic tissues and their corresponding cancer tissues, 21 primary ccRCCs and normal tissues adjacent to cancer by RT-PCR. Results: A new isoform of CD99 (CD99-III) was identified, which was detected in 8 of the 9 metastatic tissues, a ratio significantly higher than that in the primary ccRCCs without metastasis (10 out of 21, P<0. 05). The results revealed that the transcripts of CD99 type I was present in all of the ccRCC specimens tested; CD99 type II was detected in 6 of 9 metastatic corresponding primary cancer tissues, a ratio significantly higher than that in cancer tissues without metastasis(3 out of 21, P=0.008). Conclusion: CD99 type II and CD99-III, a novel splice variant of CD99, may be associated with the initiation and progression of ccRCC.
5. Relationship between cell adhesion molecule CD99 and tumor: Recent progress
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2010;30(3):313-316
CD99, a cell adhesion molecule, is involved in the cell adhesion, apoptosis and tumor cell migration, infiltration, and invasion, and plays an important role in the development and progression of tumor. CD99 is abnormally expression in some tumors, which has potential value in the differential diagnosis, predication of metastasis capability, treatment and predication of tumors.

Journal of Third Military Medical University 2003;0(18):-
Objective To investigate the potential effect of hypoxia on adhersion and invasion of human cervical carcinoma cells HeLa. Methods Reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) was used to investigate the level of HIF-1? mRNA and E-cadherin mRNA of HeLa cells cultured under normoxia, 5%O2, 3%O2, 1%O2. The invasiveness of HeLa cells was investigated by transwell chamber assay. Results Under the condition of normoxia, 5%O2, 3%O2 and 1%O2, the optical density ratio of HIF-1? mRNA/?-actin was (0.423?0.116), (0.764?0.111), (1.687?0.126) and (0.215?0.099), showing that the level of HIF-1? mRNA had a tendency of first inceasing and then decreasing with the decreasing oxygen content. The optical density ratio of E-cadherin/?-actin was (1.045?0.171), (0.719?0.114), (0.386?0.105) and (0.157?0.063), showing a decreasing tendency with the decreasing of oxygen content. The invasiveness of HeLa cells was (112.5?20.7), (254.3?27.5), (333.6?45.2) and (124.5?24.6), showing that the invasiveness of HeLa cells had a tendency of first inceasing and then decreasing with the decreasing oxygen content. Conclusion Moderate hypoxia up-regulates the mRNA levels of HIF-1?, and down-regulates the mRNA levels of E-cadherin, and enhances the tumor invasiveness. The possible mechanism is the increasing mRNA levels of HIF-1?.

Journal of Environment and Health 1993;0(01):-
Objective To research the relationship between high temperature and population death in a district in Nanjing. Methods Using Microsoft Excel 2000 and SAS 8.0 software, firstly, respectively analyzed the impact of daily highest and lowest temperature from 1994 to 2002 on daily death in summer and winter, then studied the relationship between daily highest temperature and total death, age-specific and sex-specific death in summer of 1998 based on the study of the climate characteristic of Nanjing. Results In summer, the highest temperature which could reach to 40.7℃ emerged mostly in July and August, and when the highest temperature was higher than 35℃, mortality increased obviously as the temperature increasing. The relative humidity was more than 70% in most time of the year round. In summer of 1998, the excessive death on hot days accounted for 11.3% in which the old people occupied the majority, and two death peak appeared in July and August, the former higher than the latter. Conclusion The high temperature and high humidity may obviously increase mortality, especially in the old people, in Nanjing.

Journal of Regional Anatomy and Operative Surgery 2014;(3):277-279
Objective To compare the effect of scapula lateral margin approach and standard Judet approach in the operative treatment of scapular fracture. Methods Medical data of 48 patients with scapular fractures from January 2006 to February 2013 were retrospectively analyzed. They were divided into the observation group and the control group according to the surgical approach. 27 patients in the observation group were treated with operative treatment through scapula lateral margin approach and 21 patients in the control group were treated with sur-gical treatment through standard Judet approach. Compared the clinical effects and complications of the patients in two groups. Results To operation time and intraoperative hemorrhage in the observation group were less than that of the control group (P<0. 05),fracture healing time was shorter than that of the control group after operation (P<0. 05). Six months after operation, the excellent rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group. Scores of daily activities and myodynamia in the observation group were higher than that of the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0. 05),and there was no significant difference in the scores of pain and joint motion between the groups(P>0. 05). Conclusion Scapula lateral margin approach in treatment of scapular fracture has the advanta-ges of easy operation, small trauma, definite effect, little complication and it can be used as the preferred scheme of scapular fracture operative treatment.
