Chinese Journal of Clinical Nutrition 2009;17(1):45-48
Objective To investigate the nutrition support during stress response period after tumor ex-tirpation in middle-aged and elderly patients with oral and maxillofacial tumors. Methods Sixty patients who had undergone maxillofacial tumor extirpation were randomly divided into nutrition therapy group (n = 35) and control group ( n = 25 ). Patients in nutrition therapy group received enteral nutritional treatment, while patients in control group fed themselves. The nutritional status of the two groups before operations were evaluated with Concise Nutritional Assessment Indicators of human body measurement and biochemistry were used to evaluate the nutritional conditions. The incidence of post-operational complications and recovery time ( from the operation to discharge) were analyzed. Results The weight and arm muscle circumference in the nutrition therapy group significantly decreased after operations (P <0. 05). However, in the control group, all the nutritional indica-tors except the total lymphocyte count were significantly lower than the baseline levels after operations (P < 0. 05 ) ; particularly, of the average body weight decreased by about 6 kg. The incidence of complications in the nutrition therapy group was significantly lower than that in control group (5. 7% vs. 12. 0% , P <0. 05). The recovery time was significantly longer in the control group than that in the nutrition therapy group [ (28. 62± 2.38) vs. (22. 76± 3. 24) d, P < 0. 01 ]. Conclusion The nutritional support during the stress response period can satisfy the demands of high catabolism after maxillofacial tumor extirpation operation in middle-aged and elderly patients.

Objective To assess the value of CT in diagnosis and clinical treatment of the traumatic rupture of spleen. Methods There were 35 cases with traumatic repture of spleen,32 cases were comfirmed by operation.Plain CT scans in all cases and contrast-enhanced scans in 4 cases were performed. Results 19 cases were subcapsular hematoma,8 cases were spleen hematoma,6 cases were rended in one place of spleen,2 cases were rended in many places of spleen. Conclusion The difinite diagnosis and classification of traumatic rupture of spleen can be made by CT.The rupture of the organs around the spleen also can be found by CT,that can provide reliable evidence for clinical treatment.

Objective:To establish the model of apoptosis of activated human ??T cells induced by restimulating with Mycobacterium tuberculosis antigen(Mtb-Ag). To investigate the roles of p38 and phosphatidylinositol 3 kinase(PI3K) pathways in the apoptosis of activated human ??T cells induced by restimualting wih Mtb-Ag.Methods:Mtb-Ag activated human T cells(MtbAT) were cultured for 15 days to 25 days and restimulated with three concentrations of Mtb-Ag for 24 hours, and the apoptosis of ??T cells were measured by flowcytometry(FCM) using Annexin-V-FITC/PI staining. Mtb-AT were restimulating with Mtb-Ag(10 ?g/ml) for 3, 6, 12 and 24 hours, the apoptosis of ??T cells were detected. Mtb-AT cells were pretreated with SB203580(an inhibitor for p38 pathway), or LY294002(an inhibitor for PI3K pathway) for 60 minutes, and restimulating with Mtb-Ag for 3 hours, the apoptosis of ??T cells were detected. Results:Both 10.0 and 20.0 ?g/ml Mtb-Ag significantly induced the apoptosis of ??T cells(P0.05). Compared with control, the apoptosis of ??T cells could be significantly induced by restimulating MtbAT with Mtb-Ag(10.0 ?g/ml) for 3, 6, 12 and 24 hours(P0.05) in the percentages of apoptosis of ??T cells restimulated by Mtb-Ag(10.0 ?g/ml) between for 3 hours and for 24 hours, the percentages of apoptosis of the latter is higher than the former about 7.55%. The apoptosis of ??T cells induced by restimualting wih Mtb-Ag could be inhibited by SB203580(80.0 ?mol/L) or LY294002(10.0 ?mol/L), the inhibition rate of apoptosis was 91.6% and 43.1%, respectively. Conclusion:We established the model of apoptosis of activated human ??T cells by means of using Mtb-Ag(10.0 ?g/ml) to restimulate activated ??T cells for 3 hours. The test of inhibitors of signalling molecule suggested the signalling pathways including p38 and PI3K, participated in the apoptosis of activated human ??T cells restimulated by Mtb-Ag.

International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2015;(8):763-765
In recent years traditional Chinese medical massage has made remarkable achievements in the treatment of infantile diarrhea, besides, it has no toxic and side effect, no complaints and without affecting the growth rhythm of children and easily accepted by children. Massage manipulation and curative effects of treating infantile diarrhea was discussed in this text, the mechanism was analyzed, and the forecast of traditional Chinese medical massage on infantile diarrhea was proposed.

Objective To provide anatomical basis for the free saphenous branch of descending genicular artery flap and evaluate its clinical outcomes for the hand soft-tissue defects. Methods Fifteen fresh cadavers injected with lead oxide-gelatin mixture for three-dimensional visualization reconstruction using a spiral computed tomography scanner. The origin, course and distribution of the perforators of descending genicular artery were observed. From January 2005 to October 2011,seven patients with skin defect on the distant limbs were treated. The flap size was 5 cm × 6 cm-11 cm × 14 cm,vascular pedicle length 5.4 (4-7)cm. ResultsThe saphenous branch was consistent. It arised from the descending genicular artery (68%) or femoral artery(32%).The diameter of the saphenous branch was 1.5(1.1-1.7)mm at its origin above 9.0(4.0-16.0)cm from the medial epicondylar.Seven cases of flaps all survived, the average followup of 28 months, close to hand flap of skin texture, some sensory recovery,two-point discrimination 8-12mm. Conclusion Free saphenous branch of descending genicular artery flap is a reliable option for the treatment of soft tissue defect in hands. The pedicles were invariable of anatomy, thickness of the flaps is comparable, and procedure is simple and time saving.

Journal of Practical Radiology 2015;(7):1148-1151
Objective To study the role of CT in the evaluation after patellar dislocation triple surgeries. Methods Retrospectively analysed the CT measurements of 60 recurrent patellar dislocation patients (61 knees),who had undergone patellar dislocation triple surgeries, within one month before and after procedures. The measurements included patellar tilt angle, lateral patellar displacement, trochlear con-gruence angle,Tibial Tuberosity-Trochlear Groove distance,Insall-Salvati Ratio and Caton-Deschamps Index. Moreover, the troch-lear dysplasia classifications of all patients were evaluated. In addtion,an analysis has also been completed for 40 (41 knees)of 60 patients who had second postoperative CT examinations as follow-up assessment 3 to 6 months after surgeries. Results All one-month postoperative measurements decreased obviously with statistical significance(P <0.05 ).Furthermore, one case of subluxa-tion,1 1 cases of abnormal Tibial Tuberosity-Trochlear Groove distance,13 cases of abnormal Insall-Salvati Ratio and 14 cases of Ca-ton-Deschamps Index abnormities were also observed.Besides that,it was also found that all patients had trochlear dysplasia and 5 cases were diagnosed with patellar subluxation or dislocation at the second postoperative follow-up assessment. Conclusion The patients with redislocation or risks for patellar instability can be detectecd by CT which provides objective evidence for postoperative evaluation and further treatments.
