Objective To investigate the kinetic changes of inflammatory cell infiltration and thyroid autoantibodies in the development of iodine-induced autoimmune thyroiditis in NOD.H-2~(h4)mice.Methods Either 128 five-week-old NOD.H-2~(h4)mice or 128 Kunming mice were randomly divided into two groups, and received plain water or water containing 0.05% sodium iodide. At the time points of 1,2,4,8,12,16,and 24 week after receiving iodinated water, mice were anesthetized by diethyl ether and bled from eye socket vein, and their thyroid glands were collected.Indirect ELISA method was used to measure the levels of serum thyroglobulin autoantibodies (TgAb)and thyroid hormone. After being fixed with paraformaldehyde and embedded in paraffin, thyroid sections were stained with HE and used for morphometrieal analysis. Results In the iodine treated group of NOD.H-2~(h4) mice, autoimmune thyroiditis was observed as early as 1 week after they began receiving indinated water. The prevalence as well as the degree of autoimmune thyroiditis reached the maximum at 12 weeks and remained until 24 weeks.Serum TgAb level increased after 8 weeks of iodine ingestion in NOD.H-2~(h4) mice, then increased steadily throughout the 24 weeks of experiment. On the contrary, serum TgAb was not increased in the control group of Kunming mice. Conclusion Iodine may induce and exacerbate lymphocytic infiltration of the thyroid in genetically susceptible NOD.H-2~(h4) mice, and serum TgAb is just a marker of autoimmune thyroiditis.

OBJECTIVETo explore the effect of Shoutai Pill (STP) containing serum on bioactivity behaviors of trophoblast cells in spontaneous abortion (SA) patients such as cell proliferation, invasion, migration and secretion.
METHODSTrophoblast cells in artificial abortion in normal pregnancy and SA patients were isolated and cultured in vitro, which were then treated with STP containing serum at various concentrations (5%, 10%, 20%, respectively). Blank serum was taken as the normal control group and dydrogesterone containing serum as the dydrogesterone control group. The proliferation, cycle distribution, invasion and migration capacity, and beta human chorionic gonadotropin (p-HCG) level were detected by methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium (MTT) colorimetry, flow cytometry (FCM), Transwell experiments, and ELISA, respectively.
RESULTSCompared with the normal control group, the activity of cell proliferation obviously decreased, ratios of apoptotic cells (SubGO/G1) and G2/M phase were obviously elevated, S phase cell ratio was obviously reduced (all P < 0.05). Transwell experiments indicated invasion and migration capacity obviously decreased, secreted beta-HCG level were obviously reduced after 72-h intervention (P < 0.05). Compared with the SA group, the activity of cell proliferation obviously increased, ratios of apoptotic cells and G2/M phase were obviously reduced, S phase cell ratio was obviously elevated, invasion and migration capacity were obviously enhanced, secreted beta-HCG level were obviously elevated after 72-h intervention in the dydrogesterone control group and each STP containing serum group (all P < 0.05). The activity of trophoblastic cell proliferation, S phase cell ratio, invasion and migration capacity, and secreted beta-HCG level were strengthened along with increased STP containing serum. Besides, the effects of 20% STP containing serum group were significantly superior to those of the dydrogesterone control group (P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONSTP containing serum could dose-dependently enhance the proliferative activity of trophoblastic cells, invasion and migration capacity, secretion of beta-HCG, and reduce the apoptosis of trophoblast cells, which might be one of mechanisms for STP preventing and treating SA.

ObjectiveTo evaluate the curative effect difference between Tong's anterior mesh suspension and modified tension-free vaginal tape-obturator (TVT-O). Methods75 SUI cases were random divided into two groups: Group A (35 cases) were accepted Tong's anterior mesh suspension and group B (40cases) were accepted modified tension-free vaginal tape- obturator. Curative effects, operation safety, and complications and so on, were recorded and compared. ResultsThere had no statistical differences between these two groups on operation time, bleeding lose, operation injury, immediate postoperative urinary retention andcure rates, but the operation expense of group A was cheaper than group B [ (980. 74 ±212.45)yuan vs (2879.06 ±467. 13)yuan , P <0.05). ConclusionThe curative effect between two methods were similar. It's a little complicated and fit to be popularized in large hospital to modified tensionfree vaginal tape-obturator. Tong's anterior mesh suspension was performed under completely direct vision, not through pelvic cavity, and it was an economic, convenient and easy way, which not only fit to be popularized in basic hospital, but also a surgical remedial measure to the failures who accepted these operations, such as TVT, SPARC, IVS, MONARC, TOT, TVT-O, etc.

Objective To explore the value of thyroid-stimulating antibody(TSAb) and degree of goiter in predicting the outcome of Graves'disease after antithyroid drug treatment. Methods Seventy-one patients with Graves'disease were given antithyroid drugs for (2. 8±1. 4)years and then followed up for(22±6.0)months.Finally,age,gender,thyroid function,TSAb and goiter size at the time of drug withdrawal were compared between the relapsed and relieved groups. TSAb was measured in all patients by using HEK-hTSHR cells. Results Eleven of 71 patients relapsed during the follow-up after drug withdrawal. The relapse rate (42. 9% ,6/14)in patients with positive TSAb was significantly higher than that (8.8%, 5/57) in patient with negative TSAb (X2 = 9.97, P<0.01). The relapse rates in patients with normal size thyroid, Ⅰ degree goiter,Ⅱ degree goiter were 6.25%, 12.2%,35.7% respectively. TSAb activity, positive rate and goiter size of the relapsed patients at the time of drug withdrawal were significantly higher than those of relieved patients (P<0.05 or P<0. 01). Conclusion TSAb activity and goiter size at the time of drug withdrawal are two effective prognostic markers of relapse in Graves' disease treated with antithyroid drugs.
