Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2004;10(2):96-97
ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of mechanical ventilation (MV) on myocardial infarction (MI).Methods43 MI patients of the treating group were treated with mechanical ventilation when PaO2<55 mmHg, SaO2<85%.26 MI patients of the control group were treated with same treatment except for inhaling O2 through nose or face mask.ResultsThe survival rate of the treating group was 34.9%, but that of the control group was 7.8%, there was a significant difference between two groups (P<0.01).ConclusionMechanical ventilation can raise the survival rate of MI patients and improve functions of failing heart.

Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2014;32(8):728-733
Background Primary open angle glaucoma (POAG) is one of the frequent glaucomatous types, and genetic factor participates in pathogenesis and development of the disease.Recently,MYOC mutation was found to be associated with POAG.Objective This study was to describe the clinical and genetic findings in a POAG family from Luoyang,China. Methods This study protocol was approved by Ethic Committee of Affiliated First Hospital of Henan University of Science and Technology. The study adhered to Declaration of Helsinki.A POAG family with 29 members of 5 generations was surveyed and followed-up for 5-year duration. The mode of inheritance was determined by the pedigree analysis. The periphery blood sample was collected form 12 families and 100 health controls for the extraction of genomic DNA under the informed consent. The third exon and its flanking introns of MYOC were amplified, and quantitative real time PCR products were sequenced, and the structure and function of mutated gene were examined by restriction fragment length polymorphism analysis. The predicted effects of the detected variants on the secondary structure of MYOC protein were evaluated using Garnier-Osguthorpe-Robson (GOR) method, and homology analysis of protein was carried out by Blast software provided by National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI).Results This POAG family included 29 members of 5 generations, and the clinical data were not clear in 11 family members.Three individuals from 3 generations were determined POAG,another one was ocular hypertension, and 2 were carriers.Pedigree analysis appeared an autosomal dominant inheritance. In 12 subjects included 6 members genetically affected and 6 members with normal phenotype, the heterozygous mutation was found in the third exon of MYOC gene in 6 genetically affected members, which revealed a T→C transition at position 1021 (p.S341P),resulting in a switch of serine (Ser) to proline (Pro). It was a missense mutation abolished a CviKI-1 restriction site that segregated with the affected members.Secondary structure prediction of p.S341P suggested that myocilin protein was misfolded.Analysis of protein homology and switched Ser was conservative amine acid at position 1021 (p.S341P).No similar change was found in the 6 normal families and the normal controls. Conclusions Ser341Pro MYOC mutation is disease-causing factor in the POAG family of Luoyang. The clinical and genetic features of this mutation warrant further investigation. The mutation spectrum of MYOC is expanded to offer a better diagnosis and treatment for POAG patients.

Objective To evaluate the different methods, such as indirect immunefluorescence assay with HEp-2 cell substrate(HEp-2-IFA)or with liver substrate(Liver-IFA)and ELISA,for determining antinuclear antibody(ANA)as an indicator of SLE.Methods Medline,Embase and CBM were searched from 1990 to 2005.Thirteen articles that described ANA as an indicator of SLE were selected according to specified inclusion criteria. All data from these articles were evaluated systematically by RevMan software. Results The odds ratios(OR)of ANA detected by HEp-2-IFA or Liver-IFA or ELISA were 100.55(P

Chinese Journal of Immunology 1986;0(04):-
Objective:CⅡTA is a transcriptional factor for transactivation of HLA expression. The aim of the study is to investigate the regulation of prednisone on inducible expression of CⅡTA in native PBMCs.Methods:Normal PBMC was stimulated with combination of IFN-? and PHA with or without the presense of prednisone.CⅡTA mRNA in the cells was amplified by RT-PCR,for analyzing transcriptive level in three designed groups of native PBMCs,activated PBMCs using the biomodulators and the triggered PBMCs in presense of prednisoloen. Results:Normal human PBMCs constitutively expressed CⅡTA,which was increased by stimulation of PHA and IFN-?.Prednisone significantly inhibited the inducible pattern of CⅡTA expression. Conclusion:Prednisone has showed inhibition effect on the expression of PBMC CⅡTA by descending transcription of the specialized transcriptional factor in activated PBMCs,whereby to downregulate the expression of HLA in PBMCs.

Chinese Journal of Prevention and Control of Chronic Diseases 2006;0(02):-
Objective To explore the intervention patterns which people are apt to accept and medical staff operate them simply and conveniently for primary osteoporosis in community. Methods With cluster random sampling method, 850 residents who met the selective standards were selected from four communities. Every community was divided into five districts; each district took one of intervention patterns, including health lectures, home visiting, telephone interviewing, follow-up letter, fixed-point counseling, etc. At the end of two years' intervention, all of subjects accepted the final investigation, data were collected and analyzed. Results The acceptance rates of intervention patterns were 94.0% for telephone interviewing, 89.2% for home visiting, 70.6% for health lectures, 27.2% for letter follow-up and 19.5% for fixed-point counseling. The recognition rates of manipulating these measures in medical staff were 78.9% for telephone interviewing, 70.7% for health lectures, 66.7% for home visiting, 22.2% for letter follow-up and 15.0% for fixed-point counseling. The ratio of cost to effectiveness of telephone interviewing was 1.79 which was the minimum, but the ratio of cost to effectiveness of fixed-point counseling was the maximum which was 13.79. Conclusion Health lectures, home visiting and telephone interviewing are applicable intervention measures to prevent POP in community.

Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2010;26(28):74-76
Objective To improve the comprehensive nursing abilities in the practice process in the practice base, to adapt to the needs of the development of community nursing. Methods Convenient sampling was adopted, 83 nurses were divided into the experimental group (43 nurses) and the control group (40 nurses),who interned in the practice base in the years 2008 and 2009, the control group received con-ventional teachings, and the experimental group was given the teaching method and modes which were targeted at and focusing on the training of ability. The practice result was compared between the two groups.- Results Based on the teachers, the assessment and mixed capability were higher in the experimental group, by the employers' evaluation, all of the indicators were higher than the control group, and it is statistically significant. Conclusions It can improve various nursing abilities of the community nurses by the teaching method and modes which are targeted and focusing on the training of capability.

Journal of Clinical Pediatrics 2013;(10):985-990
Nicotinamide phosphoribosyltransferase (NAMPT) is the rate-limiting enzyme in the salvage pathway for the biosynthesis of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) from nicotinamide. NAMPT is also a cytokine that inhibits the apoptosis of neutrophils under various inlfammatory stimuli, regulates various diseases and closely associates with the progression and prognosis of cancers. However, it is still not clear whether the cytokine-like function of NAMPT is interrelated with the biosynthesis enzyme activity of NAD+. This article aims to provide novel insights for inflammation and cancers treatment by reviewing the function of NAMPT in inflammation, carcinogenesis, cancer progression and its inhibitors, APO866/FK866.
