1.Research progress of early enteral nutrition in acute pancreatitis
Parenteral & Enteral Nutrition 2017;24(4):249-252,256
Nowadays, acute pancreatitis remains a clinical challenge with considerable morbidity and mortality.Acute pancreatitis is associated with systemic and metabolic derangements which may promote hypermetabolism and negative nitrogen balance due to negative energy balance. Therefore, optimal nutritional support intreatmentof acute pancreatitis has been a subject for decades.Originally, the concept of pancreatic rest by fasting was thought to improve outcome as early enteral nutrition was believed to aggravate inflammation or infection through pancreatic stimulation. At present,an increasing number of studieswere performed showing numerousbenefits of enteral nutrition. In this review, intestinal dysfunctionandroute, timing, type and amount of enteralnutritional support in acute pancreatitis will be discussed.
2.Research on parallel port-based safety monitor method for high intensity focused ultrasound therapeutic system
China Medical Equipment 2013;(9):6-8,9
Objective: High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) is classified as the third category medical instruments, which means it require much more attention on its safety to patient. Methods: To achieve this goal, a safety monitor system was applied on “High Intensity Focused Ultrasound therapeutic equipment for Shallow tissue”. To design parallel port-based safety monitor method for high intensity focused ultrasound therapeutic system and make the bidirectional data flow. Results: By using parallel computation of FPGA, the safety monitor independently monitor several modules of the “Ultrasound therapeutic equipment”, and handles mal-function. A new EPP-Parallel port basic intelligent watchdog was introducing to monitor PC working state. Conclusion: The safety monitor system enhances the safety and reliability of the equipment, and provides helpful information for malfunction diagnose.
3.The correlation research between serum lactadherin, sialic acid level and patients with coronary heart disease
International Journal of Laboratory Medicine 2017;38(13):1793-1795
Objective To study the relationship between serum lactadherin (MFG-E8),sialic acid (SA) level and coronary heart disease (CHD) occurrence and development. Methods 166 patients in our hospital were selected from June 2014 to November 2015,and then according to the result of coronary angiography divide the subjects into control group (n=56,the result of coronary angiography completely normal) and CHD group, including stable angina 48 cases (StA subgroup),unstable angina 30 cases (UA subgroup) and acute myocardial infarction 32 cases (AMI subgroup). The serum level of MFG-E8 was detected by ELISA method, the serum level of SA,hs-CRP and lipid index were detected by biochemical analysis.Gensini score showed the severity of coronary stenosis. The correlation analysis between detecting parameters was carried out by Spearman method. Results Compared with the control group, the patients with CHD have a higher level of serum SA and a lower level of MFG-E8 (both P<0.05).The AMI subgroup has a lower level of serum MFG-E8 than StA and UA subgroups, and the AMI subgroup has a higher level of serum SA than StA and UA subgroups (all P<0.05).The correlation analysis showed that the serum SA has a positively correlation with the level of TG,hs-CRP,and Gensini score, and has a negatively correlated with the level of MFG-E8 (all P<0.05).The MFG-E8 has a negatively correlated with the level of TG,hs-CRP,and Gensini score (all P<0.05).Conclusion MFG-E8 and SA play an important role in the development of CHD,and combined detection of serum MFG-E8 and SA may be helpful in the clinical diagnosis and risk assessment of patients with CHD.

Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2015;32(3):548-557
The growing rate of public health problem for increasing number of people afflicted with poor sleep quality suggests the importance of developing portable sleep electroencephalogram (EEG) monitoring systems. The system could record the overnight EEG signal, classify sleep stages automatically, and grade the sleep quality. We in our laboratory collected the signals in an easy way using a single channel with three electrodes which were placed in frontal position in case of the electrode drop-off during sleep. For a test, either silver disc electrodes or disposable medical electrocardiographic electrodes were used. Sleep EEG recorded by the two types of electrodes was compared to each other so as to find out which type was more suitable. Two algorithms were used for sleep EEG processing, i. e. amplitude-integrated EEG (aEEG) algorithm and sample entropy algorithm. Results showed that both algorithms could perform sleep stage classification and quality evaluation automatically. The present designed system could be used to monitor overnight sleep and provide quantitative evaluation.

Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2003;0(10):-
Objective:To study the feasibility, safety and effectiveness of intrapericardial injection with a trans-diaphragmatic approach in rats and its value in the study of heart diseases. Methods:Blue-black ink, recombinant adeno-associated virus carrying enhanced green fluorescent protein((eGFP)) gene,0.9% sodium chloride solution were respectively injected into pericardium of rats in three different groups(Group ink,Group eGFP and Group sodium chloride) by intrapericardial injection with a trans-diaphragmatic approach.Autopsy was done and hemodynamic parameters were measured and cryosection was analyzed by fluorescence microscopy. Results:The injection was proved successful in all rats in Group ink.Green fluorescence was detected in cryosection of all hearts in Group eGFP and the expression of green fluorescent protein was ubiquitously, but not homongeneous. No rat died during and after the operation among the operated rats(rats in Group eGFP and Group sodium chloride). There was no difference between hemodynamic parameters of the operated rats and those of the controls. Conclusion:The intrapericardial injection with a trans-diaphragmatic approach is a simple, feasible, safe and valid operation and suitable for small experimental animals. And it suggests an easy, safe, efficient and cheap technique in the study of heart diseases.
7.A RCT study on oral lidocaine plasmagel on improvement of the postoperative odynophagia in patients receiving trans-oesophageal echocardiography examination for cardiac surgery
Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2013;(13):27-29
Objective To investigate the effect of oral lidocaine plasmagel on the postoperative odynophagia in patients receiving trans-oesophageal echocardiography (TEE) examination for cardiac surgery. Methods Sixty patients for cardiac surgery were divided randomly into the control group (C group) and the oral lidocaine plasmagel group (L group) with 30 cases in each group.Patients in L group received 2% oral lidocaine plasmagel 20 ml before anesthesia, while C group did not.The incidence of postoperative odynophagia was compared between two groups. Results Postoperative odynophagia pain score were significantly higher in C Group than that in L Group. Conclusions Oral lidocaine plasmagel can alleviate the postoperative odynophagia in patients receiving trans-oesophageal echocardiography examination for cardiac surgery.

Traditional drug development and pre-clinical tests are based on animals and involve large numbers of animals, costs and long periods. Meanwhile,inter-species differences are difficult to overcome. Human embryonic stem cells (hESCs),which can self-renew and directly differentiate to types of cells, have become a new tool for toxicity alternative testing. hESC-Based alternative testing models, such as the reproductive toxicity test system, neuro development toxicity test system and metabolic model, can be used to predict target organ toxicity and toxic mechanisms of chemicals, analyze metabolic pathways and to search for potential toxicity biomarkers, when combined with omics such techiniques as metabonomics , proteomics and genomics. Therefore, hESC-based alternative testing models have extensive application to toxicology.
