Objective: To establish a HPLC method for the determination of paeoniflorin in Zhuifeng Tougu pill. Methods: HPLC was used with C18 column,CH3OH-H2O(30 :70)as mobile phase and detection wavelength at 230nm. Results: Paeoniflorin showed a good linearity in the range of 21.02～210.20?g. The average recovery was 100.7%and RSD was 2.0%. Conclusion: This method is simple and accurate with good reproducibility, and can be used for the quality control of Zhuifeng Tougu pill.

Objective To investigate perinatal outcomes of twin pregnancy.Methods Perinatal outcomes of 658 pregnancies with twins hospitalized and born at Beijing Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital during 2002 to 2005 were retrospective analyzed to compare the influence of type of twin,delivery mode, gestational week,birth time interval between twins,as well as specific complications of twin pregnancies on their outcomes.Results Pefinatal fatality of monzygous twins was 53.69 per thousand(16/298),higher than that of dizygous twins(27.11 per thousand,9/332),with U=2.35,P0.05.Perinatal fatality was higher in twins with different development (birth weight).Perinatal fatality in dizygous twins(12.5 percent,2/16)was lower than that in monozygous ones(14.3 percent,6/42),and that in twins with different development(birth weight)(0.6 percent, 2/316)was lower than that with same development(1.2 percent,3/256),with ?~2=16.944,P

OBJECTIVE To study the relationship between HLA-DRB1*03 genes and expression of cytokine IL-18 in chronic hepatitis B patients.METHODS A total of 153 chronic hepatitis B patients and 138 normal healthy people were detected.HLA-DRB1*03 alleles were conducted in all the patients with polymerase chain reaction-sequence specific primer(PCR-SSP),and IL-18 was detected by ELISA.RESULTS Thirty-four individuals with chronic hepatitis B patients were HLA-DRB1*03 genes positive,the frequency was 22.22%,which was higher than the frequency of HLA-DRB1*03 in heathy individuals.The average level of IL-18 in chronic hepatitis B patients with HLA-DRB1*03 negatives was significantly higher than in HLA-DRB1*03 positives.CONCLUSIONS HLA-DRB1*03 closely relates with susceptibility to chronic hepatitis B.In chronic hepatitis B patients,the average level of Th1 cytokines in HLA-DRB1*03 negatives is higher than that in HLA-DRB1*03 positives.

Objective To evaluate the effect of methylene blue and visible light by FQ-PCR assay on the inactivation of plasma hepatitis B virus,and to establish a direct and impersonal basis for the surveillance of cural inactivation.Methods Four samples of plasma of HBV-DNA positive were added with methylene blue. Then the plasma was processed with visible light radiation(30 000 Lux) for 0, 5, 10, 15,30 min respectively. Objective:To study the feasibility of surgical techniques and clinical experience of the airbag-free separation of nail and the whole extraperitoneal laparoscopic hernia repair(TEP).Methods:Ninty-three cases of inguinal hernia.Patients were treatecl in our hospital from March 2005 to January 2009,with 39 cases of regular.Free air and non-stapling of mesh TEP and 54 cases of routine open tension-free hernioplasty.Results:The operation times were as follows:TEP Group,unilateral hernia(101.3?15.6 min),bilateral hernia(138.4?17.3 min);Open Group,unilateral hernia(81.6?7.6 min),bilateral hernia 175.8?22.0 min.The couplications in TEP Goup inclucled 3 cases of retroperitoheal rupture,3 cases of intra-operative vascular injury,and 2 cases of postoperative scrotal hematoma.Nine cases of sacrotal hematoma,4 cases of infective and 6 cases of long-term pain in the groin area happened in open Group.Conclusion:TEP of free balloon separator with no stapling patch is safe,reliable,less post-operative complications and especially suitable for bilateral hernia.

BACKGROUND: The commonly used research methods of lumbar biomechanics are animal model,physical model and corpse model respectively. However, each model has its own disadvantages.OBJECTIVE: To establish the finite element model of lumbarmotionsegments in order to provide theoretical basis for biomechanical research of lumbar.DESIGN: Single sample study based on healthy volunteer.SETTING: Orthopaedic department of a university hospital.PARTICIPANTS: The experiment was completed in the Orthopaedic Department of Xiangya Hospital of Central South University from December 2003to August 2004. A healthy male volunteer was chosen as a mock object.METHODS:CT scanning was conducted to the spine(T12 - S1) of a healthy volunteer by 2 mm layer and got 264 images. The 3D model of normal Chinese male L4 5 motion segments was built by combininglumbar images scanned by CT and anatomic data through 3DSMAX software. Then it was transferred into finite elementmodel by finite element analyzing software SAP2000.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: ① Vertebral body model andintervertebraldisc model built by 3DSMAX software; ② Finite element model of motion segment made by SAP2000 software.RESULTS:The finite element model of lumbar L4-5 segments had been built. It had totally 2 120 nodes that include 1 728 Solid units, 592 Area units and 50 Link units.CONCLUSION: The finite element model of lumbar motion segments can be established through CT scanning, digital image processing and computer aid design to further study the biomechanics of spine.
