By introducing the basic concept and principle, the advantages and characteristics of ASV technology are highlighted. Based on clinical application, suggestions on how to correctly set ASV parameters are given.

Quality control of medical equipment is very important to the diagnostic accuracy and the cure effect. The work of the quality control is the main technical basis of the hospital construction in promoting medical development, and it's also an important content of the modem medical management. The status, causes and countermeasures of medical equipment quality control in military hospital at the present time are analyzed and discussed.

Objective To design a set of quality control management platform of ECG monitor in order to evaluate the quality of ECG monitor quickly and objectively and monitor and record the whole course of quality control.Methods The quality control platform was designed with the existing ECG monitor quality control methods, the existing detection devices, database technique and digital recognition technique based on neural network.Results The platform could be used for the intelligent data acquisition, data recognition, data analysis and statistics of ECG monitor quality control.Conclusion The platform may enhance the quality control of ECG monitor greatly.

Objective To evaluate the clinical value of transrectal ultrasound-guided 10 cores plus fixed-point prostate biopsy for diagnosing prostate cancer.Methods The serum PSA level of 181 patients were determined with ELISA.AU the patients underwent 10 cores plus fixed-point prostate biopsy under the guidance of transrectal ultrasound.Resuits 80 cases with prostate cancer(44.2%),63 cases with benign prostatic hypertrophy (34.8%),36 cases with prostatitis(19.9%),1 cage with tuberculosis(0.6%),and 1 cage with prostate leiomyoma(0.6%).When PSA WaS more than 20 μg/L,the incidence rate of prostate cancer was significantly higher than other PSA levels.Meanwhile,Gleason scores were increased with the advance of PSA levels (P＜0.001).Conclusion Transrectal ultrasound-guided systematic 10 cores plus fixed-point prostate biopsy could significantly enhance the prostate cancer detection rate, and it was important in diagnosing prostate cancer for patients,especially when PsA was more than 20 μg/L.

BACKGROUND:Hyperbaric oxygen as a wel-recognized therapy for ischemic and hypoxic diseases has to be combined with other treatments. OBJECTIVE:To study the effects of hyperbaric oxygen combined with neural stem cel transplantation via tail vein in chronic stress depression rats. METHODS:Of 60 Sprague-Dawley rats, 15 rats randomly selected were given no treatment as normal group, and the rest 45 ones were used to establish a rat model of depression and randomly divided into three groups:model group (n=15, without giving any treatment), neural stem cel group (n=15, injection of 1 mL neural stem cel suspension (3×106) via the tail vein) and combined group (n=15, hyperbaric oxygen treatment plus neural stem cel injection). Hyperbaric oxygen treatments were carried out four times per day, for 1 week, and al the treatments were given 24 hours after modeling. Rats in each group were subjected to body mass measurement and sugar water consumption test 1 and 2 weeks after treatment, and open field test within 5 minutes after treatment to observe rat behavior changes. The survival and distribution of CM-Dil labeled neural stem cel s were observed by fluorescence microscopy. The changes in the size, morphology and number of hippocampus neurons in rat were detected by the method of nylon staining. TUNEL method was used to measure the apoptosis of nerve cel s. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Compared with the normal group, in the model group, rat’s body weight, sucrose water preference and open field test scores were significantly lower, reduced number of hippocampal neurons with intact structure was found and TUNEL results showed more apoptosis (P<0.05). Compared with the model group, the body weight, sucrose preference and open field test score increased significantly (P<0.05), the number of hippocampal neurons was increased, while the number of apoptotic cel s was reduced significantly in the neural stem cel and combined groups (P<0.05). Compared with the neural stem cel group, these indexes were improved more significantly in the combined group (P<0.05). More CM-Dil positive cel s were found in the combined group than the neural stem cel group (P<0.05). Additional y, the number of hippocampal neurons was higher in the combined group than the neural stem cel group, but lower than the normal group. To conclude, transplantation of neural stem cel s combined with hyperbaric oxygen can improve the depression behavior and apoptosis in the hippocampal neurons in chronic stress depression rats.

Multiple myeloma is a plasma cell disease with the second highest incidence among hematological malignancies. Its risk of concurrent thrombosis is high, which greatly affects the quality of life and even endangers life of multiple myeloma patients. The pathogenesis of thrombosis in patients with multiple myeloma is complex, which is still unclear. However many mechanisms are considered to be related to hypercoagulable state in patients with multiple myeloma. Currently, there is a lack of thrombosis risk assessment model for multiple myeloma. Therefore, this paper reviews the research and the latest progress of venous thrombosis in patients with multiple myeloma, and provides a theoretical basis for the prevention and treatment of thrombosis.

Exosomes are 40–100 nm nano-sized vesicles that are released from many cell types into the extracellular space. Such vesicles are widely distributed in various body fluids. Recently, mRNAs and microRNAs (miRNAs) have been identified in exosomes, which can be taken up by neighboring or distant cells and subsequently modulate recipient cells. This suggests an active sort-ing mechanism of exosomal miRNAs, since the miRNA profiles of exosomes may differ from those of the parent cells. Exosomal miRNAs play an important role in disease progression, and can stimu-late angiogenesis and facilitate metastasis in cancers. In this review, we will introduce the origin and the trafficking of exosomes between cells, display current research on the sorting mechanism of exo-somal miRNAs, and briefly describe how exosomes and their miRNAs function in recipient cells. Finally, we will discuss the potential applications of these miRNA-containing vesicles in clinical settings.

Objective To investigate the underlying mechnisms of Kangai-1(KAI1)gene,a tumor metastasis suppressor gene,on metastasis and prolification of pancreatic cancer cells.Methods The plasmin containing Ad-KAI1 was established and transfected into pancreatic cancer cell line PCNA Ⅰ.The PCNA Ⅰ cells were then divided into different groups according to the times induced by vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)and epidermal growth factor(EGF).The morphology and migrational ability of PANC Ⅰ cells were compared before and after transfection by microscopy and transwell method,respectively.The expressions of intercellular adhesion molecule-1(ICAM-1)and matrix metalloproteinases-9(MMP-9)in PANC Ⅰ cells were examined by immunocytochemistry before and after transfection.Results The migrational ability of PCNA Ⅰ cells transfected with Ad-KAI1 was siginificantly decreased compared with untransfected PCNA Ⅰ cells(P＜0.05).Immunocytochemistry study revealed that the expressions of ICAM-1 and MMP-9 were both positive in untransfected PCNA Ⅰcells,but were both negative in transfected PCNA Ⅰ cells.Conclusion The inhibitory mechanism of KAI1 gene on metastasis of pancreatic cancer is associated with down-regulation of ICAM-1 and MMP-9expressions.
