OBJECTIVETo summarize laws of acupoint selection of prescriptions for treatment of cervicogenic headache by acupuncture in modern literature.
METHODSRandomized controlled trials (RCTs) involving acupuncture and moxibustion for treatment of cervicogenic headache were recruited from CBM (1978-2012), VIP (1989-2012), Wanfang Database (1998-2012), CNKI (1979-2012), PubMed (1966-2012), EMbase (1980-2012), and Cochrane Library (Volume 4, 2012). Hand recruitment was also auxiliarily used. The frequency and percentage of common acupoints, the distribution of acupoints along 14 meridians and across each part of the body, the application of specific acupoints, and features of using prescriptions for specific acupoints were statistically described.
RESULTSTotally 37 recruited papers included 42 acupoints and 159 times. Common acupoints covered Fengchi (GB20, 28 times), Jingjiaji (EX-B2, 21 times), Baihui (DU 20, 12 times), Tianzhu (BL9, 1 times), and Ashi point (11 times). Meridians along which acupoints were used mainly covered Foot-shaoyang Gallbladder Meridian, Foot-taiyang Bladder Meridian, and DU meridian. Acupoints were mainly needled from head, neck, and upper limbs. Eight confluence points and luo-connecting point were commonest used as specific acupoints. Acupuncture prescriptions were mostly composed of multiple acupoints. Filliform needle was mainly used in acupuncture methods, followed by electro-acupuncture needle.
CONCLUSIONSModern acupuncture treatment of cervicogenic headache focuses on local specific points and acupoints along meridians. Acupoints were mostly selected from head, neck, and upper limbs by syndrome typing of Chinese medicine.

Chinese Journal of Practical Pediatrics 2001;(3):162-164
Objective To distinguish primary CMV infection from reactivation or reinfection. Methods A urea denaturation test was included in the washstep of the standard IgG ELISA in 12 patients of age<12 whose serum CMV-IgG were positive, avidity indexes of CMV-IgG were measured. Results Among children aged 1~12 years, the varieties of avidity indexes of CMV-IgG in A group(IgM negative and IgG positive) and B group(IgM positive and IgG positive) had the same trend. There was only one case in B group whose avidity index was under 30%, the other were all above 30%, and most were above 50%. But among 40 children aged 1~12 months, the avidity indexes were under 30% in 21 cases,8 cases were 30~50% ,and 11 cases were above 50%. The antibody avidity in 1~6 months children was influenced by their mothers lgG,80% (12/15) of 7 ~12 months children had low-avidity antibodies. Conclusion CMV infection mostly occurred among 1~12 months children. Urea denaturation test was an efficient method to distinguish primary CMV infection from reactivation or reinfection.

Objective To explone the therapeutic effect and mechanism of Quyuhuatan decoction in treating type 2 diabetes mellitus combined with abnormal metabolism of lipid. Methods 85 cases of type 2 diabetes mellitus combined with abnormal metabolism of lipid were recruited into a control group and a treatment group randomly. The treatment group (45cases) was treated with Quyuhuatan decoction and subcutaneous insulin injection while the control group(40cases) was treated with subcutaneous insulin injection exclusively. Both groups received the treatment for for 8 weeks. The result of TC, TG, LDL-C, and HDT-C were observed before and after the treatment. Results The improvement of blood lipid in the treatment group was superior to that in the control group (t=0.011, P<0.05) . Conclusion Quyuhuatan decoction is effective in treating type 2 diabetes mellitus combined with abnormal metabolism of lipid. The mechanism might be related with its cutting off pathological paths of hyperlipidemia.
8.Study on dental pulp stem cells from patients with hypophosphatasia
Journal of Peking University(Health Sciences) 2004;0(01):-
Objective:To find out whether the dentin formation of hypophosphatasia children is affec-ted;to study the biological difference of cultured human dental pulp cells from deciduous teeth between hypophosphatasia and normal healthy children. Methods: Anterior deciduous teeth were collected from hypophosphatasia(experiment group)and normal healthy children(control group)respectively.Grounding sections of the affected and healthy deciduous teeth were made to observe their roots;the den-tal pulp cells were separated and cultured. The characteristics of cell proliferation, differentiation and calcification were studied and compared between the two groups of children.MTT assay was performed to study the growth curves of the cells;RT-PCR was performed to evaluate the expression of tissue nonspecific alkaline phosphatase(TNSALP)at different stages;von Kosssa staining was used to test formed calcification nodules after 3 weeks of induction. Results: From the grounding sections, the root surface of the experiment group was not smooth with absorbed areas, cementum was absent. For proliferation activity and the expression of TNSALP,the dental pulp cells from experiment group was obviously lower than control group.Calcified nodules could be seen in both groups, but the nodules were less and the sizes were smaller in experiment group than in control group. Conclusion: In hypophosphatasia patients, not only the cementum but also the dentin were affected. The proliferation,TNSALP expression and calcification capability of the dental pulp cells were influenced in hypophosphatasia patients, and this may be related to the tooth calcification defect.

Chinese Journal of Digestion 2001;0(10):-
Objective To investigate the status of Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori) infection and the accuracy of the two commonly used diagnostic methods, the 14 C urease breath test( 14 C UBT) and the rapid urease test(RUT) in patients with partial gastrectomy due to peptic ulcer or gastric cancer. Methods Culture, histology, RUT, combined with 14 C UBT, were carried out to diagnose the H. pylori infection in patients with partial gastrectomy. The Giemsa staining and H.pylori culture served as the ‘golden reference’ in evaluating the diagnostic accuracy of the RUT and 14 C UBT. The prevalence of H.pylori infection of patients with partial gastrectomy was determined with the dyspeptic controls without surgery. Results 37 patients (17 Billroth Ⅰ resection, 20 Billroth Ⅱ resection) were included in the study. The overall prevalence in the Giemsa staining and culture proved as H.pylori infection was 29.7%, and no statistical difference was seen between patients will Billroth Ⅰ(29.4%) and Billroth Ⅱ(30.0%) resections. The sensitivity of the RUT was 72.7%, the specificity was 57.7%, and the overall accuracy was 62.2%. The sensitivity of the 14 C UBT was 63.6%, the specificity was 100.0%. The negative predictive value was 86.7%, and the overall accuracy was 89.2%. The total prevalence of H.pylori infection in the controls was 71.4%. Conclusion Prevalence of H.pylori infection in patients with partial gastric resection is low. The two diagnostic methods, 14 C UBT and RUT, cannot be recommended as accurate diagnostic tools for H.pylori infection in patients after partial gastrectomy due to low specificity and low sensitivity, respectively.
