Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2003;0(10):-
Objective To explore the correlation of the apoptosis of peripheral blood mononuclear cell (PBMC) with plasma 8-iso-prostaglandin F2? (8-iso-PGF2?) level in order to confirm the peroxidation damage of hyperbilirubinemia in neonates with jaundice.Me-thods One hundred and twenty-nine neonates who were 2 to 7 days old were divided into 4 groups:slight jaundice (43 cases),moderate jaundice (38 cases),serious jaundice (18 cases),and healthy control(30 cases)groups.Plasma 8-iso-PGF2? levels were assayed by enzyme immunoassay(EIA),and the apoptosis rates of PBMC were determined by flow cytometry. Results 1.There was no significant difference in the apoptosis rate of PBMC between normal and slight jaundice neonates (P=0.108);apoptosis rate of PBMC was increasing with the aggravation of jaundice.2.Plasma 8-iso-PGF2? level in normal neonates was 14.74?6.71 ng/L,there was no difference between normal neonates and neonates with slight jaundice(P=0.502).Plasma 8-iso-PGF2? levels in neonates with moderate and serious jaundice were much higher(Pa=0).3.Positive correlation existed between plasma 8-iso-PGF2? level and PBMC apoptosis rate (r=0.602 P=0).Conclusions Hyperbilirubinemia can induce peroxidation damage, resulting in increase of PBMC apoptosis.Plasma 8-iso-PGF2? level can accurately eva-luate the peroxidation damage in neonates with jaundice.

Objective To report 44 cases of meta-superior position anorectal malformation in different age therapied by posterior sagittal anorectoplasty(PSARP) operation, and to discuss possibility of one-stage anorectoplasty via posterior sagittal approach in neonate. Methods The clinical data of 44 cases meta-superior position anorectal malformation, which were treated by PSARP,were studied retrospectively. Results Of 44 cases, 15 were treated by colon stoma in neonate, then PSARP was executed after 3~7 months. And the rest 29 cases (9 in neonate and 20 in 2 months~9 years) were operated with one-stage anorectoplasty via posterior sagittal approach. Among 21 children followed from post-operration 6 months to 5 years, 18 cases of defecation clinical score were fineness. Conclusion The curative effects of PSARP in neonate to meta-superior position anorectal malformation is satisfactory. If the neonate is in good condition, one-stage anorectoplasty via posterior sagittal approach could be executed in infant, and favourable defecate function could be remain.

Objective To investigate the effects and complications of injection with triamcinolone acetonide acetate and Pingyangmycin on maxillofacial and perineal hemangioma. Methods Local injection with triamcinolone acetonide acetate (TAA) and Pingyangmycin (PYM) was performed to treat infant maxillofacial and perineal hemangiomas: strawberry hemangioma, cavernous hemangioma and mixed hemangioma, in 107 infants admitted to our hospital from 1996 to 2005. If the lesion did not disappear after the first treatment, the injection would be performed again every four to six weeks interval, and the total dose of TAA and PYM could not be more than 100 mg and 40 mg respectively. The injection treatment was repeated 4 times for one course and the therapeutic effects on maxillofacial and perineal hemangioma was evaluated. Results All cases were followed up for one year after local injection of TAA and PYM. The cure rate was 87.8%, the effective rate was 9.3%, and the ineffective rate was 2.8%. Conclusion The injection of TAA and PYM is a reliable and less side effect therapeutic method, and valuable for infant maxillofacial and perineal hemangioma.

Chinese Journal of Practical Internal Medicine 2006;0(13):-
Objective To investigate the clinical manifestation, pathogenesis and imaging features of hemichorea associated with hyperglycemia in primary diabetes mellitus(DM).Methods Analyze the clinical manifestations, the neuroimaging features and the treatment of the three patients with hemichorea induced by hyperglycaemia in primary DM,and review the literatures about this disease. Results All of the three cases had a long history of uncontrolled diabetes, among whom, two were non-ketotic hyperglycemic patients and one was ketotic hyperglycemic patient. All of them had an acute onset hemichorea which was almost continuous during awakeness and ceased during sleep. The early CT findings in this disorder were high density in the caudate nucleus, putamen and/or globus pallidus on the side contralateral to the involved limbs, but showed decreased attenuation or completely resolved in about a month.T1-weighted MR images in all cases showed high-signal intensities without edema or mass effect in the diseased region which decreased after several months, while the T2-weighted images were more variable. Conclusion Hemichorea induced by hyperglycemia often happens in the patients with poorly controlled DM,and both of the non-ketotic hyperglycemic and the ketotic hyperglycemic state can be the cause. In the major affected region-corpora striata,CT shows hyperdense lesions,T1-weighted MR images show hyperintense lesions and T2-weighted images show variable lesions in the early time.

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1987;0(02):-
cDNA of human interleukin-8 was expressed in E. coli bacteria, and recombi-nant human interleukin-8 ( rhIL- 8 ) was produced. The latter was used for treatment of rat intestinal ischemia-reperfusion(I-R) injury, and it was found that rhIL-8 significantly improved the hypotensive state of the animals, and it also inhibited the elevation of plasma endothelin level , decreased the intestinal myeloperoxidase activity, and obviously prolonged the survival timeof the animals. Perfusion of isolated rat superior mesenteric artery with rhIL-8 markedly inhibited endothelin synthesis or (and) release induced by anoxia. The above results suggest that rhIL- 8 may be an effective preventive and therapeutic agent for I-R injury through its inhibition on leukocyte adhesion and endothelin synthesis or (and) release.
