Twenty cases of infantile eczema were treated by combination of Tuina therapy and Western medications, and 18 cases were treated by Western medications. The therapeutic effective rate was respectively 100% and 90.0% in the two groups, with a difference between them (P＜ 0.01).

Objective To study the significance of plasma homocysteine(Hcy),high sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP)and cardiac treponin T(cTnT)changes in the patients with coronary heart diseases(CHD).Methods From August 2012 to November 2013,240 patients with CHD in our hospital were collected as the CHD group and 250 individuals of healthy physical examination served as the control group.Serum Hcy,hs-CRP and cTnT were detected by using the enzymatic cycle assay,immune scatter turbi-dimetry and electrochemiluminescence assay respectively.The data were statistically analyzed by the SPSS software.Results The serum levels of Hcy,hs-CRP and cTnT in the CHD group were (24.89±17.78)μmol/L,(17.43±35.89)mg/L and (0.76±2.36) ng/mL respectively,which were significantly higher than those in the control group(P <0.001).Moreover,the positive rate of Hcy in the CHD group was the highest (81 .25%),followed by hs-CRP(64.58%)and cTnT (58.75%).Conclusion Hcy,hs-CRP and cTnT played important roles in the development and progression of CHD,so reducing Hcy level may be an important pathway for preventing and treating CHD.

Objective To report an improved method, color-ultrasonography-guided inferior vena cava (IVC) filter placement, for preventing the pulmonary embolism (PE) caused by the deep venous thrombosis (DVT). Methods Color-ultrasonography-guided IVC filter insertion was performed in 9 patients with DVT of lower limb, 1 of which also had PE accompanied with at the time of admission. Out of the 9 patients, 5 patients underwent embolectomy immediately after the filter placement while the other 4 patients were treated conservatively. Results The placements were all completed successfully. Follow-up observations for 1～7 months (mean 2 months) found no complications or occurrence of PE. No recurrence of PE was found in the patient already with PE. Conclusions The color-ultrasonography-guided IVC filter placement can effectively prevent PE caused by DVT. The method is suitable for severe, immovable patients, as well as patients with renal insufficiency and being allergic to intravenous contrast, and is safe, convenient, cheap and prone to popularization.

Objective To study surgical techniques and clinical effects of minimally invasive excision of high rectal carcinoid tumors with anus preservation. Methods We conducted transanal local excision of rectal carcinoid tumors in 6 cases by using self-made proctoscope and laparoscopic instruments from August 2002 to January 2005. The tumors were located on the depth of 9~12 cm from the anal verge, and excision margin was 0.5~1 cm from the tumors. Results All the operations were performed successfully. A follow-up for 3~28 months (mean, 15 months) found no recurrence, metastasis, rectal stenosis, or other short- or long-term complications. The postoperative hospital stay was 3~6 days. No analgesics were required. Conclusions Transanal local excision of high rectal carcinoid tumors under proctoscope is safe, reliable, minimally invasive, and cost-effective.

Objective To understand the etiology and clinical manifestation of malignant atrophic papulosis,to report the psychological care of one case with malignant atrophic papules,and patients to maintain a good psychological state.Methods Nursing measures such as strengthening skin care,reducing discomfort,avoiding aggravating the injury; attention to abdominal signs,detection of changes in disease condition,prevention of intestinal perforation,related medication education to increase medication compliance were given to this patients.Results The abdominal pain disappeared,lower limb muscle force recovered,and the patient was discharged after the disease condition was steady.Conclusions To patients with malignant atrophic papulosis,early detection and early treatment should be given to them.

ObjectiveTo investigate the effects of fluoxetine on viability and lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced TNF-α release of primary cultured rat astrocytes.MethodsThe cells were plated on 96-well tissue culture plates and treated with (5,10,20,40) μM fluoxetine for 24 hours,MTT method was used to measure the cell viability.The cells were plated on 48-well tissue culture plates,treated sequentially with (5,10,20,40) μM fluoxetine and 1 μg/ml LPS,and enzymatic linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) was used to detect the TNF-α level of the cell supematant.ResultsCompared to viability of the control group( OD value:0.20 ± 0.017 ),fluoxetine at the dose of 20 μM,40 μM increased the viability of astrocytes ( OD value:0.23 ± 0.013,0.24 ± 0.012 ) (P ＜0.05,P＜0.01 ).Treatment with LPS for 24 hours,the level of TNF-α was significantly increased ( 53.84 ±24.84) pg/ml compared to the control group( 8.00 ± 10.87)pg/ml (P ＜ 0.01 ),fluoxetine at a dose of 10 μM can suppressed LPS-induced TNF-α release from astrocytes ( 28.85 ± 3.36 ) pg/ml (P ＜ 0.05 ).ConclusionFluoxetine can increase astrocytes viability and suppress LPS-induced TNF-α release from astrocytes.

Objective To establish rat heart failure(HF)model following myocardial infarction(MI)and then detect the possible cytokines expression levels at different HF groups,so to explore the development of cytokines levels during the progression of heart failure.Methods The model was established by ligature of the left descending coronary artery.The rats were assessed by echocardiography and cardiac catheterization before and after 4 and 16 weeks following coronary ligature.Serum levels of TNF-α and IL-6 were determined.Results ①Serum cytokines could not be detectable in sham group using ELISA Methods,while in operated group,the concentration of TNF-α and IL-6 were significantly higher,especially IL-6.②The diagnosis coincidence between echocardiography and hemodynamics was high.Echocardiography can be used as an invasive measure to assess cardiac function in rat heart failure models.Conclusion ①Cytokines content is higher in compensated compared with the other two groups,especially to the IL-6 expression.②Cardiac ultrasound can be used as a useful method in monitoring postinfarction heart failure rat model,especially as an invasive measure.It can provide us successive data of the model.

For engineering an efficient butanol-producing Escherichia coli strain, many efforts have been paid on the known genes or pathways based on current knowledge. However, many genes in the genome could also contribute to butanol production in an unexpected way. In this work, we used Tn5 transposon to construct a mutant library including 1 196 strains in a previously engineered butanol-producing E. coli strain. To screen the strains with improved titer of butanol production, we developed a high-throughput method for pyruvate detection based on dinitrophenylhydrazine reaction using 96-well microplate reader, because pyruvate is the precursor of butanol and its concentration is inversely correlated with butanol in the fermentation broth. Using this method, we successfully screened three mutants with increased butanol titer. The insertion sites of Tn5 transposon was in the ORFs of pykA, tdk, and cadC by inverse PCR and sequencing. These found genes would be efficient targets for further strain improvement. And the genome scanning strategy described here will be helpful for other microbial cell factory construction.
