Objective To investigate the status of undergraduate nursing faculty's structural empowerment and job satisfaction and to analyze the correlation between themn. Methods Totally 246 nursing teachers were investigated with Conditions for Work Effectiveness Questionnaire Ⅱ and Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire. The correlation between structural empowerment and job satisfaction were analyzed by Pearson correlation analysis. Results Undergraduate nursing faculty's total score was (3.04±0.57) points, and score of job satisfaction was (2.93±0.59) points, both of which were at moderate level.Structural empowerment was positively correlated with job satisfaction (r=0.450-0.714,P<0.01),the higher structural empowerment level, the higher job satisfaction. Conclusions Undergraduate nursing managers can improve nursing teachers' job satisfaction by strengthening the empowerment to nursing teachers,in order to enhance the teaching quality.

Objective To analyze the characteristics of military training injury caused by distal femoral fractures that used reverse interlocking intramedullary nail(retrograte nails) and condylar plate to fix,and then compare the clinical treatment effects. Methods Retrospective analysis of clinical information of 30 cases,14 cases were treated with reverse interlocking intramedullary nail(reverse nail group) and 16 cases with condyle plate fixation(condyle plate group),all the cases were followed up for 12~20 months to compare the treatment effect and complications. Results According to Merchan criteria with clinical evaluation of knee function, the rate of good and excellent was 85.7% in the reverse interlocking in-tramedullary nail group,68.7%(P

BackgroundMonocyte chemotactic protein-1 (MCP-1)plays an important role in the tumor, inflammation, diabetic retinopathy and other neovascular disease, but the expression and the role of MCP-1 in the oxygen induced retinopathy(OIR) model have rarely been reported. Objective This study was to investigate the expression of MCP-1 in the retina development of newborn mouse and in mouse models with OIR.Methods C57BL/6J newborn mice were divided into two groups and 60 mice in each group.Mice in OIR group were exposed to 75% oxygen for 5 days and then to room air.All mice in normal control group exposed to room air only.Ten mice in each group were randomly chosen and sacrificed at postnatal 5,7,12,14,17,21 days. The expression of MCP-1 in mouse retina was detected with the method of immunohistoehemistry and reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR).Results MCP-1 positive cells were seen in normal mouse retina.Up-regulation of MCP-1 positive cells was detected both in 12 days in normal control group and in 14 days in OIR group.MCP-1 mRNA was detected in mouse retina at 5 days, and a transient up-regulation of MCP-1 mRNA was observed in 12 days in normal control group.MCP-1 mRNA in OIR group significantly increased in 14 days in comparison with the normal control group( P =0.028,P =0.001 ). Conclusions Expression of MCP-1 is detectable in whole retinal development procession of mice.A transient up-regulation of MCP-1 expression is detected in the critical period of retinal vascular development in mice models with OIR,which is closely related to the retinal vascular development and progression of retinal new vessels.

Objective To study the clinical characteristics of epidemic Japanese encephalitis in 4 adult patients and to improve the level of diagnosis. Methods The clinical characteristics, laboratory results and MRI features of 4 adult patients with epidemic Japanese encephalitis hospitalized in our hospital between 2007 and 2008 was retrospectively reviewed and analyzed. Results All patients were sporadic. Two were female and others were male with the age from 34 to 68 years old and onset in summer and autumn. One patient had diarrhea at onset while others had fever and headache at onset. All patients had high fever and psychiatric symptoms. Two patients had respiratory failure.Obvious elevation of white cells in cerebrospinal fluid was seen in all patients and Japanese viral antibody of IgM was all positive whereas the image of MRI was abnormal only in one patient. Two patients had neurological sequelae. Conclusions The clinical manifestations of epidemic Japanese encephalitis in adults are severe and untypical and the respiratory failure is likely to occur.

Objective To study the quantification of MDR1 and WT1 gene expression in patients with de novo acute myeloid leukemia(AML)and to explore the role of these two genes in clinical drug resistance and their correlation with risk stratification. Methods A real time quantitative reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction method was established for detecting MDR1 and WT1 gene expression levels in 63 de novo AML patients.Resuits The expression of WT1 and MDR1 was significantly higher in de novo AML patients than in normal controls (P<0.001).WT1 levels were significantly correlated with corresponding levels of MDR1 gene in de novo AML patients(P=0.004).Expression levels of WT1 and MDR1 gene were not associated with FAB subtype and risk stratication(P>0.05).AML patients with FLT3-ITD mutations had a significantly higher WT1 expression level as compared to with those without(P<0.05),on the contrary MDR1 expression was not associated with FLT3-ITD mutations(P>0.05).Patients with co-expression of high levels of WT1 and MDR1 had a significantly lower complete remission rate after induction therapy than those with low levels(P<0.05).Conclusion There is a positive correlation between MDR1 gene expression and WT1 gene expression in AML.Quantification of the two gene expression together is more effective for judgement of prognosis in AML.

Objective To observe the efficacy of modified Tianma?Sanqi Decoction on hypertension patients with anxiety. Methods Totally 64 hypertension patients with anxiety patients were randomly divid?ed into control group (32 cases) and treatment group (32 cases). The control group with standard medica?tions for hypertension and treatment group with addition of Tianma?Sanqi Decoction, and both groups were continuously treated for 8 weeks. The changes of 24 hours ambulatory blood pressure and SAS scores were compared. Results ( 1) After treatment in the control group and treatment group of 24 h mean systolic blood pressure (24 hSBP) ((130.13±3.81)mmHg,(123.56±4.37)mmHg) (1 mmHg=0.133 kPa) were lower than before treatment((145.36±7.17) mmHg,(145.16±6.77) mmHg) and the difference was statisti?cally significant( P<0.01).(2) After treatment in the control group and treatment group 24 h systolic pres?sure standard deviation, diurnal systolic pressure standard deviation and nocturnal systolic pressure standard deviation((12.19±3.21) mmHg,(11.16±2.26) mmHg,(10.49±3.76) mmHg and (10.95±2.35) mmHg, (10.08±2.67) mmHg,(10.12±3.78)mmHg) were lower than before treatment ((14.53±3.65) mmHg, (13.81±4.04) mmHg,(12.47±4.23) mmHg and (16.73±7.90)mmHg,(16.06±4.14)mmHg,(13.65± 4.92)mmHg),and the difference was statistically significant( P<0.01 or P<0.05).After treatment in the treatment group, 24 h systolic pressure standard deviation, nocturnal systolic pressure standard deviation ((10.95±2.35) mmHg,(10.08±2.67) mmHg) were lower than control group((12.19±3.21) mmHg, (11.16±2.26) mmHg) and the difference was statistically significant.( P<0.01).(3) After treatment in the treatment group,SAS scores (36.68±3.88) points were lower than before treatment (58.66±3.13) points and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).After treatment the SAS score ((36.68±3.88) points) in the treatment group was lower than control group((51.86+2.62) points). Conclusion The hypertension patients with anxiety treated with Tianma?Sanqi Decoction and benazapril can improve blood pressure variability and the symp?toms of anxiety.
