1.Heparanase and atherosclerosis
International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2013;21(8):634-637
Heparanase (HPA) is a β-D-endoglycosidase of the only degradation of heparan sulfate proteoglycans in extracellular matrix in mammals. The related studies in recent years have suggested that HPA is closely associated with the formation and development of atherosclerotic plaques, and may be associated with the conversion from stable to unstable plaques. This article reviews the related studies of HPA in atherosclerosis progression, such as promoting plaque inflammatory response, synergy with proteolytic enzymes, and involving in hypercoagulable states, etc.
2.Mitochondrial calcium uniporter complex and regulation of their protein interaction
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 2015;(12):2291-2295
Mitochondrial calcium homeostasis plays a key role in maintaining various cellular characteristics and mediating cellular physiological function and pathological processes .Although it has long been known that mitochondria takes up Ca2+, the molecular identities of the channels and transporters involved in this process are revealed only recently . Here, we review the structure and function of the channel-forming subunit, mitochondrial calcium uniporter (MCU) and its regulators, which include MICU1, MICU2, and MCUR1.
3.Clinical Observation on 33 Obesity and Overweight Patients Intervented by Tibetan Medicine Rongzhi Capsule
Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 1993;0(01):-
Objective To evaluate the effect and safety of Tibetan Medicine Rongzhi Capsule(Capsule for Dissolving the fat) on obesity and overweight patients. Methods The 33 patients took 4 Rongzhi capsules(0.41g/capsule) each time, twice a day,12 weeks in succession. The body fat parameter, symptom scores and blood fat was observed for the self comparative analysis before and after treatment. Results After intervention, the body fat parameter and symptom scores were decreased(P
4.Attach importance to the study on mechanism of invasion and metastasis of uveal melanoma
Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2012;30(9):769-773
Uveal melanoma(UM) is the most common primary intraocular malignant tumor in adults, which is tend to metastasize. The mortality of the patients with the metastatic tumor is very high. The mechanism of the UMmetastasis is associated with genes mutation, cytokine, protein expression abnormality and regulation abnormality of signal transduction pathways. Some research about the mechanism of the UM metastasis is carring out to find the early metastatic marker and potential therapeutic target point,so that the tumor can be detected early and prevented. It will be very important for us to increase the survival rate and improve the life quality of UM patients.
5.Understanding intraocular neoplasms from the perspective of ocular pathology
Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2015;33(11):965-968
Ocular pathology is an important branch of histopathology, which plays a key role in understanding and revealing ocular diseases. In ophthalmology, retinoblastoma (RB) and uveal melanoma (UM) are common primary malignant intraocular neoplasms, which seriously endanger patients' lives.About two thirds of RB patients are caused by sporadic somatic mutations in the Rb1 gene, and the other one third of RB patients are caused by germline mutations in the Rb1 gene, which occur in the early age,are usually bilateral and transmissible to offsprings.High-risk histopathologic factors of RB mainly include the retrolaminar optic nerve invasion and/or massive choroidal invasion, and these are main indications for postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy. At present, due to lack of effective systemic therapy, about half of UM patients succumb to distant metastasis, most of which are hepatic metastases.Poor prognostic indicators of intraocular neoplasms include large tumor, ciliary body involvement, epithelioid cell type, extraocular diffusion, etc.Monosomy 3 and class 2 gene expression profile are currently accurate and objective prognostic indicators.

OBJECTIVETo explore different regulatory effects of electroacupuncture (EA) at the same acupoint on the heart and the stomach.
METHODSEighty male SD rats were randomly divided into eight groups equally, i.e., the Neiguan (PC6) group, the Quchi (LI11) group, the Tianshu (ST25) group, the Danzhong (RN17) group, the Zusanli (ST36) group, the Sanyinjiao (SP6) group, the Xinshu (BL15) group, and the Weishu (BL21) group, 10 in each group. The regulatory effects of EA (2/15 Hz, 3 mA, 2 min) at different acupoints on the gastric motility (intragastric pressure) and the cardiac function (the left ventricular pressure) were observed. The mean values of effect of two-min pre-EA and after-EA were compared.
RESULTSCompared with the pre-EA in the same group, the left ventricular pressure decreased in the Neiguan (PC6) group, the Quchi (LI11) group, the Danzhong (RN17) group, the Sanyinjiao (SP6) group, and the Xinshu (BL15) group (P <0.05). The intragastric pressure increased in the Quchi (LI11) group, the Zusanli (ST36) group, the Sanyinjiao (SP6) group, and the Xinshu (BL15) group, while it decreased in the Tianshu (ST25) group, the Danzhong (RN17) group, and the Weishu (BL21) group (P <0.05). The difference of the left ventricular pressure was sequenced from high to low as Xinshu (BL15) >Danzhong (RN17) >Neiguan (PC6) >Sanyinjiao (SP6) >Quchi (LI11). The difference of the intragastric pressure was sequenced from high to low as Tianshu (ST25) >Weishu (BL21) > Xinshu (BL15) > Danzhong (RN17) > Zusanli (ST36) > Sanyinjiao (SP6) > Quchi (LI11).
CONCLUSIONSEA at the same acupoint (2/15 Hz, 3 mA) showed different regulatory effects on the heart and stomach. There existed some difference in the direction and size due to the acupoint location, meridians, dominant nerve segment or relating organs. A fixed effect direction to the specific target was also shown.
