Objective To investigate the effects of mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) on the pathopoiesis mechanisms of paraquat poisoning in vitro.Methods Firstly,the survival rate of A549 cells (human type Ⅱ alveolar epithelial cells) was measured with cell counting kit-8 after exposure to paraquat.Afterwards,the concentration of mtDNA in supernant of culture medium for culturing A549 and the chauge of mitochondrial membrance potential were detected with absolute quantitative PCR and confocal laser microscopy,respectively.Then,The chemotactic activity of mtDNA in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) and neutrophils (PMN) were detected by transwell chemotaxis,and the subtype of chemotactic cells was measured with flow cytometry.Meanwhile,the role of mtDNA in vascular permeability was measured by using Xcelligence system and in vitro using vascular permeability kits.Finally,the effects of mtDNA in cell proliferation were to verify.Results The 50％ of lethal concentration (LD50) of paraquat for A549 was 600 μmol/L.Cell viability and concentration of mtDNA following challenge of PQ revealed in a concentration-and time-dependent manner (P ＜ 0.05).The mtDNA had a power in aggregating PBMC nonspecifically,but there was no effect on the vascular permeability was found.Moreover,the proliferation of human fibroblasts was not stimulated directly by mtDNA,but TGF-β1 (transforming growth factor-beta 1),a major pro-fibrotic factor,was increased compared to control group (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions The mtDNA could play an important role in the inflammatory and proliferation responses to paraquat poisoning.

Objective To investigate the correlation of father involvement with early social adaptation behaviors.Methods With social adaptation scale for infant-junior middle school' s student and a self-made questionnaire,1246 normal children,age from 16 to 72 months,were investigated.Regression analysis was performed to get the correlation of social adaptation with time and activities of father involved.Results After controlling for mother-,child- and family-related factors,the regression analysis showed that standard score of social adaptation was positively rehted with the time of father involved ( β =0.05,P=0.03 ),the time father invloved explain 12％of the variation of social adaptation.The father-child activities were related with social adaptation behavior,playing was related with work skills (β =0.09,P＜0.01 ) and socialization ( β =0.06,P＜0.05),story listening related with communication ( β =0.07,P ＜ 0.05) and self-management ( β =0.06,P ＜ 0.05 ),other activities related with self-dependence ( β =0.07,P＜0.05) and work skills ( β =0.06,P＜0.05).Conclusion The time and activities of father involved are related with children' s social adaptation.The effect of father involvement on early social adaptation is positive.

Objective To investigate the expression of matrix metalloproteinase-2 (MMP-2)in pancreatic carcinoma and the relationship between MMP-2 with tumour clinicopatholngical features. Methods The expression of MMP-2 was detected by S-P immunohistochemistry in 36 cases with pancreatic carcinoma and 14 normal pancreat-ic tissues. Results The positive expression rate of MMP-2 was 66.7% (24/36) in pancreatic carcinoma tissue and 14.3% (2/14) in normal pancreatic tissues (χ2 = 3. 587, P < 0.01 ) ;The expression rate of MMP-2 in pancreatic carcinoma tissue with positive-node was 86.7% ( 13/15 ) ,which was higher than that with negative-node,which was 52.4% ( 11/21 ) ( P < 0.05 ) ; As to TNM staging in pancreatic carcinoma, the expression rate of MMP-2 was 41.2% (7/17) with Ⅰ,Ⅱ staging and 89.5% (17/19) with Ⅲ,Ⅳ staging(χ2=9.418,P <0. 01 ) ;The expression rate of MMP-2 was 50.0% (5/10) ,66.7% (10/15) and 72.8% (8/11) in highly,moderately and poorly differentiated pancreatic carcinoma(P > 0.05 ). Conclusions The expression of MMP-2 is strengthened significantly in pancreatic carcinoma tissue and involved in turnout invasion and metastasis features; MMP-2 might be regarded as one more marker for the invasive properties of pancreatic carcinoma.

Objective To investigate the effects of different pacing sites of right ventricle on serum N terminal Pro brain natriuretic peptide (NT-ProBNP) and left ventricular systolic function.Methods A total of 76 patients with an implanted DDD pacemaker were randomly divided into right ventricular septal pacing group (RVSP group,n=40) and right ventricular apex pacing group (RVAP group,n=36) according to the ventricular leads position.Serum NT-proBNP level,left ventricular end diastolic dimension(LVEDD)and left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)were analyzed before and 6 months after operation in the two groups.Results There was no difference in serum NT-proBNP level between the two groups before operation,but the serum NT-proBNP level increased in both groups 6 months after operation,and it was higher in RVAP group than in RVSP group (P＜0.05).There were no significant differences in LVEDD and LVEF in RVSP group before and after implantation (P＞0.05).Compared with pre-implantation,LVEDD was increased and LVEF was decreased in RVAP group 6 months after implantation (both P＜0.05).Linear correlation analysis showed that serum NT-proBNP level was negatively correlated to LVEF (2γ=-0.76,P＜0.05).Conclusions Compared with RVAP,RVSP can keep the normal sequence of electrical activity and exert less adverse effects on left ventricular systolic function.Therefore,RVS is an ideal pacing location.

Objective To evaluate the system of academic assessment and evaluation on introduced talented personnel so as to establish a consummate talented personnel introduction mechanism and to further standardize the introduction work. Methods On the basis of referring to document papers and soliciting management as well as human resource experts iteratively,the research method of expert consultation was adopted.(Results)The index system of academic assessment and evaluation on introduced talented personnel in school of medicine was preliminary established,and the objective index and subjective evaluation were scientifically combined to form the method of academic assessment and evaluation on introduced talented personnel. Conclusion Through simulative assessment and evaluation as well as probational demonstration,there exits definite scientificality and applicability on this academic assessment and evaluation index system,and it can provide a properly objective evaluation and essential reference foundation in the aspect of introducing more advanced talented personnel in the near future.

ObjectiveTo explore heart rate variability (HRV),cardiac troponin Ⅰ (cTnI),left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) and electrocardiogram (ECG) in order to clarify the function of cardiac autonomic nerve system and the incidence of potential myocardium injury in patients with severe brain injury.MethodsClinical data of 65 patients with severe brain injury admitted between June 2006 and June 2010 were reviewed.For the sake of comparison,patients were divided by different groupings as per different biomarkers or outcomes such as Glasgow coma scale (GCS) 6 - 8 group and GCS 3 - 5 group; cTnl ＞ 0.5 group,0.04 ＜ cTnl ＜ 0.5 group and CTnl ＜ 0.04 group; and survival group and death group.Another 30 healthy subjects were enrolled as control group.Heart rate variability (HRV) was analyzed with both timedomain and frequency domain methods based on data from 24-hour Holter monitoring.The level of serum cardiac troponin Ⅰ was detected. The left ventricular ejection fraction was measured by beside color ultrasonogram.The different relationships between HRV and GCS as well as prognosis,between cTnI and GCS as well as fatality,between cTnI and ECG,and between EF and GCS were analyzed.The computer statistical software SPSS version 13.0 was used for statistical analysis of data.ResultsAll of the 65 patents with severe brain injury were subjected to decrease in HRV.The patients of GCS 6 - 8 group and GCS 3 - 5 group showed significantly lowered HRV in comparison with control group ( P ＜ 0.05 ).The death group showed more obvious decrease in HRV than the survival group ( P ＜ 0.05 ).Fifty-one of the 65 patients had myocardial injury evidenced by increase in cardiac troponin Ⅰ.The patients of cTnl ＞0.5 group and 0.04 ＜cTnI ＜ 0.5 group showed significantly higher fatality compared with cTnI ＜ 0.04 group ( P ＜ 0.05 ).Compared with the GCS 6 ～ 8 group,more patients in the GCS 3 -5 group had abnormal serum CTnl level and lower EF.ConclusionsThere are cardiac autonomic nerve system disorders and different degrees of myocardial injury in patients with severe brain injury,and early intervention is essential to decrease the fatality of severe brain injury.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of midazolam combined with remifentanil for lower eyelid blephamoplasty.Methods In a double-blind study,200 patients undergoing lower eyelid blephamoplasty were randomly and equally divided into 2 groups (100 cases each):test group (midazolam 0.05 mg/kg and remifentanil 0.5 μg/kg followed by remifentanil 0.05 μg/(kg·min) and control group (midazolam 0.05 mg/kg).Heart rate (HR),mean arterial pressure (MAP),and pulse oxygen saturation (SpO2),respiratory rate (RR),SpO2 change,operation time,recovery time,the incidence of adverse reactions and the satisfactory rate of both patients and surgeons were monitored and recorded before the medication,3 min after the medication,at beginning of the surgery,during and immediately after the surgery,and 30 min after surgery.Results Two groups of patients had no obvious difference in intraoperative MAP,HR,RR,SpO2 and postoperative recovery time (P＞0.05);the incidence of postoperative nausea and vomiting in the test group was significantly higher than that in control group (P＜0.05); Patients and surgeons satisfaction in the test group was higher than that in control group (91.3±11.6)vs (52.7±10.4) (P＜0.05).Conclusions Midazolam combined with remifentanil for lower eyelid blephamoplasty has less inhibitory effect on circulatory and respiratory functions and the patients come round fast after surgery.But there are risks of respiratory inhibition in the induce phase and nausea and vomiting in the recovery stage.

Objective To explore the clinical value of application research in business process reengineering in transferring of inpatients for check-up. Methods We reorganized transferring of inpatients for check-up and service tache by introducing the Systematic Redesign method from the therory of Business Process Reengineering. The reengineered process was adopted and applied in the transferring processes. We randomly selected patients for check-up(126 cases for electrocardiogram,130 cases for Xrayand 128 cases for CT examination)and investigated the time cost for check-up and patients satisfaction rate. The above results were compared with those patients(112 cases for electrocardiogram,112 cases for Xrayand 120 cases for CT examination)before use of reengineered process. Results The time cost for the above mentioned check-up was shorter and patients satisfaction rate were alleviated compared with those before use of reengineered process(U=14.55,12.26,13.57;x2=17.37,14.65,10.75,P＜0.01).Conclusion Application of business process reengineering in the transferring process of inpatients for check-up proved pivotal important in that it could shorten time cost for transferring process and improve patients satisfaction rate.It possessed realistic significance for increasing benefit and competitions for hospitals.
