Objective To study the chronic neurotoxicity of aluminum through observing the adverse effect of long term intake of aluminum on the memory of rats.Methods 40 Wistar rats were randomly divided into 4 groups and given Al2(SO4)3 through drinking water for 6 months,the concentration of Al3+ in the waters were 0.12 mg/L,40 mg/L,400 mg/L and 2 000 mg/L respectively,then passive avoidance tests were carried out.One month before pregnancy,the dams were given Al3+ of 40 mg/L and 2 000 mg/L respectively,after the offspring were born,the group given high[Al3+] was subdivided into two groups,one continuously drank the water with high [Al3+],the other drank the water without Al3+.The dams drinking water with low [Al3+] and their offspring continued to drink the same water as before.At the age of three months,all the offspring were examined with passive avoidance tests.Results The memory acquirement in all adult rats were not abnormal,but memory retention were severely damaged (P0.05).The rats continuously drinking water with high [Al3+] after birth had significant damage both in memory acquirement and in retention (P

The experience of "Zhenjing Anshen" acupuncture method originally created by professor WANG Fuchun for treatment of insomnia was introduced in this paper. From aspects of insomnia pathogenesis, theoretical foundation, characteristics of acupoint selection, needing methods, needing time, etc., the experience of Professor WANG Fuchun for treatment of insomnia was explained. The "Zhenjing Anshen" acupuncture method proposed, for the first time, "new three layers" method of acupoint selection, including Sishencong (EX-HN 1), Shenmen (HT 7), Sanyinjiao (SP 6). This method presents the principles of acupoint selection along meridian, acupoint selection based on essence-qi-spirit, harmony of yin and yang. The acupuncture manipulation is emphasized, and treating time (the period of the day from 3 pm to 5 pm) is focused on; acupoint selection is simple but essential, and acupoint combination is scientific, which receives notable therapeutic effect in clinic.

Objective To explore the effect of nursing intervention on the oral hygiene of vagrant patients with mental problems.Methods Toally 80 vagrant patients with mental problems were saved and treated with oral health care intervention for a period of three months.The pre-intervention effects were prepared with the post-intervention ones in terms of tooth brushing,oral health and periodontal disease related symptoms intervention.Results Before intervention,the rate of tooth brushing was significantly higher and the rate of periodontal disease related symptoms significantly lower than that before intervention (P＜0.05).The scores on physical function limitation,pain and discomfort,psychological discomfort,weakened ability in independent living and the total score after intervention were all significantly lowered as compared to the pre-intervention.Conclusion Oral nursing intervention can improve oral hygiene and oral health of vagrant patients with mental diseases.

A canine model of electro-physiologic-electropharmacologic testing on ischemic ventricular tachyarrhythmias were established in the open-chest dogs subjected to programmed electrical stimulation (PES) on 5~8days after acute my-ocardial infarction produced with two -stage occlusion of left anteriol decending coronary artery (LAD) followed by partly reperfusion. The electrophysiologic -electropharmacologic effects of pro-cainamide (PA ) were observed in this canine model. pA distinctly lengthened the QTc interval and the effective refractory period ( ERP) of normal and infarct myocardium in both ventricles and decreasedthe dispersion of ERP in infarct myocardium (IDR) as well as the dispersion of ERP in left ventricle (VDR). The PES - induced ventricular tachycardia (VT) or ventricular fibrillation (VF) was prevented in 5 out of 6 PA treated dogs (n = 6),Normal saline (NS) did not prevented PES- induced VT/VF. The results suggest that PA may be effective in preventing the onset of reentrant ventricular tachyarrhythmias after myocardium ischemic damage.
