1.Update on isolation and functional research of hepatic stellate cells.
Chinese Journal of Biotechnology 2014;30(7):1059-1072
Hepatic stellate cells (HSCs), also called Ito cells or lipocytes, are one of inherent liver nonparenchymal cell types located in the Dissé space between hepatocytes and sinusoidal endothelial cells, and account for up to 50%-80% of vitamin A in the form of lipid drops. The methods of primary HSCs isolation mainly focus on density gradient centrifugation combined with centrifugal elutriation, side scatter-activated cell sorting, UV-excited autofluorescence or antibody-based flow cytometry, etc., and will provide solid foundation for the research on physiological and pathological HSCs function. The research of this vitamin A-storing cells has developed and expanded vigorously. In physiological conditions, HSCs are quiescent and play pivotal roles in the synthesis of extracellular matrix (ECM) to maintain its stability with broad uptake and storage of vitamin A, and also regulate liver regeneration. But in pathological conditions, HSCs are activated by constant stimulations or liver injury, then with activated proliferation, reduced lipid drops, and increased ECM synthesis. Morphology of these cells also changes from the star-shaped stellate cells to that of fibroblasts or myofibroblasts with obvious contractibility and secretion of cytokines and chemokines including a variety of proinflammatory factors and adhesion molecules, suggesting that the activation of HSCs is one of the key events in the development of liver fibrosis. Study on the isolation and function of HSCs is always one of the hot topics for liver biology. In this review, we systematically summarize and discuss the recent advances in our understanding of the isolation methods and improvements of HSCs, and functional research of HSCs biology in health and disease, as well as potential directions.

2.Analysis on moxibustion papers in SCI journals during the recent 5 years.
Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2014;34(11):1115-1118
The papers regarding moxibustion published in science citation index (SCI) journals for the recent 5 years were searched to explore the international tendency of moxibustion researches, which provided references for moxibustion to have a better internationalization. With methods of internet search and database search, a total of 116 papers regarding moxibustion were included. These papers were published in 40 kinds of journals, mostly in Britain and the United States. The journal with the highest impact factor was Stroke, which had 5729 points. The number and impact factor of these journals were inferior to those of acupuncture journal. Compared among these journals, the depth and width of moxibustion research were increasing year by year. The category of diseases related with moxibustion is mainly digestive system diseases, motor system diseases and urinary-genital system diseases. The type of papers was characterized with clinical observation and mechanism research. Researches related with moxibustion included moxibustion dose and safety. It was believed that the international recognition of moxibustion effectiveness, standardization of moxibustion manipulation, standardization research, etc. were needed to be solved in the further.

Chinese Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma 2017;19(3):268-271
Incidence of ankle fractures is relatively high.Malunited ankle fractures result from inappropriate nonoperative treatment and incorrect surgery as well.It is not difficult to diagnose a malunited ankle fracture when taking history, symptoms and imaging examinations into consideration.Orthopaedic surgeons used to do ankle fusion for this kind of patients as the effect of reconstructive surgery is not clear. This article summarizes the diagnostic and therapeutic methods for ankle fracture malunion based on the articles from 1976 to 2015.More detailed therapeutic methods for deformities involving lateral malleolus, tibiofibular syndesmosis, medial malleolus and posterior malleolus are also reviewed.

Journal of International Oncology 2016;43(5):356-359
The process of tumorigenesis, local invasion and distant metastasis will produce a series of molecular changes, these genetic mutation or abnormal expression of molecules play a promoting role in hypercoagulation. At the same time, hypercoagulation also increases the risk of tumor progression. It is important to understand their specific processes and the molecular role, and it can provide theoretical basis for better management of patients, and has significance for developing more effective and security new anti-clotting drugs.
6.Controlled Clinical Studies on Fluticasone Propionate Spray for Allergic Rhinitis Children Suffering with Adenoidal Hypertrophy
China Pharmacist 2016;19(4):718-720
Objective:To research the efficacy and safety of fluticasone propionate spray for allergic rhinitis children suffering with adenoidal hypertrophy. Methods:Totally 160 allergic rhinitis with adenoids growth children were in the observation group, in which 109 cases were diagnosed as adenoidal hypertrophy. Totally 157 adenoids growth children were in the control group, in which 114 cases were diagnosed as adenoidal hypertrophy. The two groups both received fluticasone propionate spray treatment for 3 months, and then the nasal endoscopic adenoidectomy volume, symptom score and adverse reactions were observed and analyzed. Results:Allergic rhi-nitis children suffering with adenoidal hypertrophy were mainly in the 3-6-year-old children. After the treatment, adenoids was shrinked in 88 patients (80. 73%) in the observation group, which was significantly higher than that in the control group [67(58. 77%), P<0. 01]. Adenoidal hypertrophy was still in 44 patients (35. 03%) of the observation group after the treatment, which was lower than that of the control group [55(68. 13%), P <0. 05]. In addition, the integral differences of nasal congestion, snoring and mouth breathing in the observation group after the treatment were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0. 05). Conclusion:The efficacy of fluticasone propionate spray used in allergic rhinitis children suffering with adenoi-dal hypertrophy is more obvious than that in adenoid hypertrophy children, which can more significantly improve the symptoms of nasal congestion, snoring and mouth breathing.
