Objective To determine the level of five trace elements(Fe 2+ ?Cu 2+ ?Zn 2+ ?Ca 2+ ?Mg 2+ )in the spleen and changes of T lymphocyte and its subtype variations in peripheral blood from the rats infected with Toxoplasma gondii . Methods Twenty rats were randomly and equally divided into two groups: control group and experiment group. Each rat in the experiment group received an ip injection of 2 ml normal saline containing 1.5?10 6 tachyzoites of T. gondii . On the 64th day after injection of T.gondii , the changes in T lymphocytes (TL) and their subgroups, the helper T lymphocytes (Th) and the suppressor T lymphocytes(Ts) in the peripheral blood of the rats with T.gondii were determined by the assay of the lymphocytes labeled with intercellular acid ? naphthyl acetate esterase. All the rats were killed and the atomic absorption method were used for detecting the level of trace elements in the spleen tissue. Objective To explore liver protective effects of the stems and leaves and roots of Scutellariae Radix from different areas of Gansu Province;To discuss differences in liver protection of the stems and leaves and roots of Scutellariae Radix. Methods All Kunming mice were randomly divided into 11 groups:normal group, model group, positive control group, Scutellariae Radix root groups and Scutellariae Radix stem-leaf groups of Longxi, Minxian, Weiyuan, Zhangxian. The mice received gavage with relevant medicine once a day for 7 days. 2 hours after the last medication, the mice were given peritoneal injection with 0.1%CCl4 and olive oil to establish the models with liver injury. Hepatic index, the activity of serum ALT and AST, the levels of T-AOC in the liver tissue were calculated in 18 hours after establishing the models. Results Compared with the model group, hepatic index, the activity of serum ALT and AST in the mice of Scutellariae Radix root groups from difference producing areas decreased significantly (P<0.05);the levels of T-AOC in the liver tissue was raised notably (P<0.05). Compared with stem-leaf groups from the same producing area, hepatic index, the activity of ALT and AST in the mice of Scutellariae Radix root groups were remarkably lower than these of Scutellariae Radix stem-leaf groups (P<0.05);the levels of T-AOC in the liver tissue was evidently higher than that of Scutellariae Radix stem-leaf group (P<0.05). Conclusion Scutellariae Radix root water decoction can prevent and protect CCl4-induced acute liver injury to a certain degree, while Scutellariae Radix stem-leaf water decoction shows no significant protective effect on acute liver injury.

Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy and security of retroperitoneal laparoscopic ureterolithotomy(RLUL) for impacted ureteral calculi after radical cystectomy and ileal conduit.Methods 5 patients with unilateral impacted ureteral calculi after radical cystectomy and ileal conduit received RLUL were selected,and a retrospective study was performed for manner,duration of surgery,complications and length of stay and other indicators,and the treatment effect was evaluated.Results All procedures were successful and the mean operation time was (82.0±27.7)min,the extubation time was (5.4±1.1)d,hospitalization time was (10.0±2.9)d.Postoperative follow up for 6-48 months,there were no obvious complications.Conclusion The RLUL showed satisfactory availability and security for management ureteral calculi after radical cystectomy and ileal conduit.

Objective To explore the correlation between endothelia cells activation and cytokines (ET-1, NO) levels in patients with pulmonary hypertension (PH), and to discuss their roles in the development of PH. Methods Twenty patients with simple ventricular septal defect (VSD) were chosen as controls, and 30 patients with PH were studied. Plasma levels of ET-1 and NO were measured by radioimmunoassay or colorimetric method. Before cardiopulmonary bypass was established, the specimens from right lung were fixed with formaldehyde solution, embedded with paraffin and stained by SP immunohistochemistry. Intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1) expression was measured through the determination of the light density with computer imaging technology. Results Compared with that of the patients with simple VSD, the light density of ICAM-1 and plasma level of ET-1 increased in patients with PH; but plasma level of NO decreased (P<0.05). Positive correlation was observed between ICAM-1 and ET-1/NO (P<0.05). Conclusion Endothelia cells activation and imbalance of ET-1/NO might play an important role in the development of PH.

Objective To evaluate the validity and reliability of the Chinese version of Alcohol Withdrawal Scale (AWS). Methods Totally 175 patients diagnosed as alcohol dependence according to the criteria of ICD-10 were studied. Intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) analysis was applied for examining interrater consistency and Cronbach' s α for internal consistency. Factor analysis was used to examine the construct validity. Correlation analysis between AWS and CGI,Revised Clinic Institute Alcohol Withdrawal Syndrome Scale(CIWA-Ar) were conducted to evaluate the criterion validity. Based on clinical criteria,ROC curve was calculated so as to test the discriminative ability and establish the cut-off point of the scale. Results ( 1 ) Reliability: ICC value was 0.93,and Cronbach's α was 0.83,which indicated good interrater and internal consistency. (2) Validity:the correlation coefficients of the two subscale with the total scale score were 0.78,0.83 respectively. The correlation coefficients between the subscale were 0. 81 and factor analysis revealed that each item of the scale had relatively high load on the primary factor (0.409 ～0.926). At the time of admission,the total score of the AWS was positively correlated with that of CGI ( r = 0.71, P < 0.05 ). The total score of the AWS also was positively correlated with that of CIWA-Ar ( r = 0. 86, P<0. 05). As treatment went on,total score of the AWS showed a downward trend,at the end of the first week,the total score of the AWS was positively correlated with that of CGI ( r = 0.62, P<0.05). (3)The cut-off point of AWS for mild alcohol withdrawal state was determined as ≥3. With this cut-off point,AWS had both high sensitivity (92.1% ) and specificity (73.5% ) ,and the area under curve (AUC) was 0. 91. The cut-off point of AWS for moderate withdrawal state was determined as ≥7, and the sensitivity and specificity of AWS were 94.3 % and 89.7 % respectively, with the AUC of 0.94. The cut-off point of AWS for severe withdrawal state was determined as ≥ 10. With this cut-off point AWS had both high sensitivity (94. 9% ) and high specificity (92.6% ) .with the AUC of 0.93. Conclusion AWS has good reliability and validity and can reflect the change of the disease and the efficacy of treatment.

Objective To investigate the accuracy of predicting acute postoperative pain by assessment of intravenous propofol injection-induced pain.Methods Seventy-one ASA I or Ⅱ patients aged 20-40 yr scheduled for induced abortion operation were enrolled in this study. The patients were unpremedicated. ECG, HR, BP and SpO_2 were continuously monitored before and during anesthesia. Anesthesia was induced with 2 mg/kg propofol. A third of the induction dose was injected via a dorsal hand vein. Pain induced by iv propofol injection was assessed with verbal rating scale (VRS) (0 = no pain, 3 = severe pain) . Postoperative abdominal pain was assessed with visual analog scale (VAS) (0 = no pain, 100 = most severe pain) at 20 min after operation. Results The propofol injection pain occurred in 66% of patients. Postoperative VAS scores at rest and during activity and intravenous propofol injection-induced pain were significantly correlated (r = 0.561, P<0.01; r = 0.608, P<0.01). The sensitivity and specificity of iv propofol injection-induced pain (VRS > 1) in predicting clinically significant acute postoperative pain (VAS > 30) were 96% and 52% respectively. Conclusion Preoperative iv propofol injection induced pain is a reliable factor in predicting acute postoperative pain and is useful in identifying those women who will experience greater pain after operation.

AIM To investigate the clinical therapeutic effects and pulmonary function effects of phentolamine combined with Dangshen Bufei Decoction (Astragali Radix,Codonopsis Radix,Atractylodis macrocephalae Rhizoma,etc.) in the treatment of asthmatic disease in infants.METHODS From August 2013 to April 2016,94cases of infants with asthmatic disease in our hospital for diagnosis and treatment were selected and randomly divided into observation group of 47 cases and control group of 47 cases.The control group was given phentolamine treatment,while the observation group was treated with phentolamine combined with Dangshen Bufei Decoction.Two groups were both treated for seven days.RESULTS The total effective rates in the observation group and the control group were 97.9％ and 85.1％,respectively,the total effective rate in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P ＜ 0.05).The total disappearance time of dyspnea,cough,fever and other symptoms in the observation group were significantly faster than those in the control group (P ＜ 0.05).The incidence rate of facial flushing,irritability,bradycardia,nausea,vomiting and other adverse reactions in the observation group was 17.0％,which was 19.1％ in the control group,there was no significant difference between the two groups (P ＞0.05).CD4 + values in the observation group and the control group after the treatment were significantly lower than those before the treatment (P ＜ 0.05),while CD8 + values were significantly higher than those before the treatment (P ＜ 0.05).After the treatment,CD4 + and CD8 + values in the observation group showed significant statistical differences as compared with those in the control group (P ＜ 0.05).FVC values in the observation group and the control group after the treatment were (83.55 ± 15.29)％ and (75.20 ± 11.49)％,respectively,which were significantly higher than those before the treatment [(68.24 ± 15.20)％ and (69.01 ± 14.03)％,respectively] (P ＜0.05),and FVC value in the observation group was also significantly higher than that in the control group (P ＜ 0.05).CONCLUSION Phentolamine combined with Dangshen Bufei Decoction has good safety in the treatment of asthmatic disease in infants,which can improve clinical symptoms and immune function,so as to promote the improvement of lung function and therapeutic effects.

Objective To study the effect of Jieyuyubao prescription on endometrial pinopodes and HOXa-10 mRNA in chronic stress rats , and reveal the regulatory mechanisms of the endometrial receptivity. Methods Totally 48 SPF SD rats were randomly divided into three groups with weight stratified: normal control group (group A), model control group (group B) and experimental drug group (group C). Rat model of chronic stress was established in group B and group C. On the first day of stimulation, Jieyuyubao solution (1 g·mL-1 ) was intragastrically administered (11. 8 mL·kg-1 ) to the rats of group C at 9:00 am, once daily, and stopped giving at the fourth day of pregnancy (pd4) after being confirmed by vaginal smears. Purified water (11. 8 mL·kg-1 ) was intragastrically administered to the rats of group A and group B at 9:00 am. All the rats were mated at the sex ratio of female:male = 2:1 at 16:00 pm on the 21st day. The rats were sacrificed at the pd4. Maturity of endometrium pinopodes was assessed under transmission electron microscope. HOXa-10 mRNA content was evaluated by real-time fluorescence-PCR. Results The maturity of pinopodes was as follows: the maturity score of normal control group, model control group and experimental group was (2. 7 ± 0. 3), (1. 3 ± 0. 3), and (2. 1 ± 0. 2), respectively, with significant difference between experimental drug group and model control group (P<0. 05). HOXa-10 mRNA expression was significantly decreased in model control group (0. 658±0. 031) as compared with normal control group (0. 965±0. 102) (P<0. 05). Conclusion Jieyuyubao prescription maybe increase the number and maturity of pinopodes through promoting HOXa-10 mRNA expression in endometrial epithelium cells, and then improve endometrial receptivity.

Objective To study the effect of Eclipta alba on learning and memory ability and brain derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF) in brain of Alzheimer's disease (AD) model rats.Methods Healthy adult SD rats were randomly divided into control group,model group,low dosage group and high dosage group.There were 10 rats in each group.The model of Alzheimer's disease was established with subcutaneous injection of D-galactose and microinjection Aβ25-35 on bilateral hippocampus.All rats were treated with saline solution or different dosage of Eclipta alba respectively lasting 8 weeks.Then the ability of learning and memory of AD rats was evaluated by the Morris water maze test.The levels of expression of BDNF in brain were determined by immunohistochemical staining method and Western Blot method.Results The Morris water maze test:the average escape latent period prolonged besides the percentage of the swimming time in the target quadrant from the total swimming time and the times across the platform((34.14± 1.43) s,(33.71±3.82) ％,(3.40±0.70) times) decreased significantly in model group compared with control group((18.83±0.62) s,(41.98±3.96) ％,(5.40± 1.17) times,P＜0.01).The average escape latent period shortened besides the percentage of the swimming time in the target quadrant from the total swimming time and the times across the platform increased significantly in high dosage group compared with the model group (P＜0.01).Immunohistochemical staining and Western blot:the level of expression of BDNF in brain in model group was prominently less than control group (P＜ 0.01).The BDNF level in drug treated groups was prominently higher than model group(P＜0.01).The expression of BDNF increased with the drug dosage increasing.Conclusion Eclipta alba can improve the learning and memory function of AD rats by enhance the expression of BDNF.
