China Pharmacy 2017;28(19):2655-2658
OBJECTIVE:To investigate the improvement effect of Eucalyptol enteric soft capsule on mice with lipopolysaccha-ride(LPS)-induced acute lung injury(ALI). METHODS:60 mice were randomly divided into blank control group, model control group,Eucalyptol enteric soft capsule low-dose,medium-dose,high-dose groups(100,300,900 mg/kg),12 in each group. Mice in administration groups were intragastrically given relevant medicines, mice in blank control group and model control group were intragastrically given equal volume of normal saline(0.1 mL/10 g). After 2 h of administration, except for the blank control group, ALI was induced in other groups by atomized LPS. After 6 h of modeling, the mice were sacrificed, alveolar lavage fluid(BALF) and lung tissue were taken. Morphological changes of lung tissue were observed under microscope;number of total cells,neutro-phils in BALF were calculated by blood cell count plate and staining by wright-giemsa respectively. Total protein concentration in BALF supernatant was detected by BCA method;TNF-α,IL-6 contents in BALF supernatant were determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. RESULTS:Compared with blank control group, lung tissue of mice in model control group showed obvious pathological damage and severe pulmonary edema;number of total cells, neutrophils in BALF,total protein concentration and TNF-α,IL-6 contents in BALF supernatant were significantly increased(P<0.01). Compared with model control group,pathologi-cal damage in lung tissue of mice was obviously improved in Eucalyptol enteric soft capsule high-dose group, number of total cells, neutrophils in BALF,total protein concentration and TNF-α,IL-6 contents in BALF supernatant were significantly decreased (P<0.05);and there were no significant differences in other groups (P>0.05). CONCLUSIONS:High-dose Eucalyptol enteric soft capsule can obviously improve LPS-induced ALI of mice.

Objective To study the changes of bone mineral density(BMD)and bone turnover in postmenopausal osteoporotic patients treated with salmon calcitonin nasal spray. Methods Sixty-seven postmenopausal osteoporotic patients were enrolled in our trial. All of them received calcium and vitamin D; 37patients were treated with salmon calcitonin nasal spray for 12 months and the other 30 patients received calcium and vitamin D only. Dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry(DEXA)and measurements of a series of bone turnover indices were performed before and after medication for 6 and 12 months. Results After treatment with salmon calcitonin nasal spray for6 months, BMD in lumbar spine 2-4 increased but no change occurred in femoral neck. However, after treatment for 12 months, BMD in both lumbar spine 2-4 and femoral neck increased. In the control group, BMD in lumbar spine 2-4 decreased after treatment for 6 and 12 months, but BMD in femoral neck decreased only after 12months. Comparing with the control group, after treatment with salmon calcitonin nasal spray, BMD in lumbar spine 2-4 and femoral neck were increased obviously. The level of TRACP-5b and NTX/Cr decreased after treatment with salmon calcitonin nasal spray for6 months and 12 months, while BALP increased only after treatment for 12 months. In the control group, BALP decreased after treatment for 12 months. The level of 25-(OH)vitamin D increased after treatment for 6 months and 12 months in both groups. Conclusions Long-term treatment with salmon calcitonin nasal spray prevents bone loss and may increase bone mass.

This study was aimed to establish a fast determination method of main components in honey. Honey samples from difference production bases were used as study objects. Transmission and reflection spectra of different honey samples were collected with the Fourier transform near infrared spectrometer. The main components in honey (moisture content, fructose content, glucose content and reducing sugar content) were detected by the near infrared quantitative analysis technique. The near infrared quantitative analysis models of moisture content, fructose content, glucose content and reducing sugar content in honey were established by the partial least squares (PLS). The results showed that the correlation coefficient (r) of the moisture content, fructose content, glucose content and reducing sugar content in honey were 0.997 25, 0.973 90, 0.927 94 and 0.952 68, respectively. The root mean square error of prediction (RMSEP) were 0.165 (%), 0.564 (%), 1.300 (%) and 1.270 (%), respectively. It was concluded that determination of main components in honey by the near-infrared spectroscopy technology was a fast and nondestructive determination method with high accuracy, which can be used in the quantitative detection of main components in honey.

Journal of Clinical Pediatrics 2014;(11):1084-1088
Objective To study the gene mutations and clinical features of mandibuloacral dysplasia with type A lipodystrophy (MADA) in a Chinese family. Methods The information of 5 family members including 2 siblings suspected atyp-ical progeria was assembled. Genomic DNA was extracted from peripheral blood of 5 family members, the 12 exons of LMNA gene were ampliifed by PCR and then the PCR products were directly sequenced and analyzed by using Blast software online. The SIFT and PolyPhen-2 software were used to predict the harmfulness of mutations. Results The 2 siblings were clinically diagnosed as MADA. Heterozygous c.1579C>T (p.Arg527Cys) and c.1583C>T (p.Thr528Met) mutations were detected in this family. The father carried c.1583C>T (p.Thr528Met) mutation, the mother carried c.1579C>T (p.Arg527Cys) mutation, and their normal daughter were all heterozygous carriers with c.1583C>T (p.Thr528Met) mutation. Compound heterozygous c.1579C>T (p.Arg527Cys) and c.1583C>T (p.Thr528Met) mutations in 2 siblings led to MADA. The MADA showed an autosomal re-cessive inheritance pattern in this family. Conclusions The 2 siblings with MADA in this family were caused by compound heterozygous mutations in LMNA gene.
