Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy of honeysuckle extraction liquid combined with nasal irrigation in the treatment of nasosinusitis after radiotherapy of nasopharyngeal carcinoma.Methods:Eighty-two patients with nasosinusitis post-radiotherapy who received treatment between February 2018 and February 2020 in the First Hospital of Jiaxing were included in this study. They were randomly assigned to receive either nasal irrigation with 0.9% sodium chloride injection (control group, n = 41) or atomization treatment with honeysuckle extract liquid plus nasal irrigation with 0.9% sodium chloride injection (observation group, n = 41), once daily for 4 successive weeks. Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) and nasal endoscopic Lund-Kennedy (LK) score, ciliary transport rate, clinical efficacy and adverse reactions were compared between the control and observation groups. Results:After treatment, the nasal congestion score [(0.82 ± 0.10) points], viscous or purulent nasal discharge score [(1.88 ± 0.25) points], olfactory dysfunction score [(1.12 ± 0.15) points], head and face pain score [(0.40 ± 0.06) points] and nasal endoscopic Lund-Kennedy score [(2.03 ± 0.26) points] in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group [(1.94 ± 0.26) points, (2.93 ± 0.37) points, (1.73 ± 0.25) points, (0.62 ± 0.09) points, (4.07 ± 0.47) points, respectively, t = 9.156, 15.056, 13.397, 13.023, 9.156, all P < 0.01]. The ciliary transport rate in the observation group [(4.71 ± 0.56) mm/min] was significantly higher than that in the control group [(3.94 ± 0.51) mm/min, t = 15.056, P < 0.01]. Total effective rate in the observation group was 97.56% (40/41), which was significantly higher than 80.49% (33/41) in the control group ( χ2 = 4.493, P < 0.05). In the control group, one patient had epistaxis, and no adverse reaction was observed in the observation group. Conclusion:Honeysuckle extraction liquid combined with nasal irrigation with 0.9% sodium chloride injection is effective in the treatment of nasosinusitis after radiotherapy for nasopharyngeal carcinoma, can greatly improve the symptoms and signs of patients, and is highly safe.

Objective To determine the relevant factors of under staging and under grading in patients undergoing radical prostatectomy and to define important predictors of under staging in this population. Methods The clinical T stages and biopsy Gleason scores were compared with the pathological T stages and prostatectomy Gleason scores in 55 patients. Results Among the 55 cases,50 were preoperatively classified as clinical stages T 1～T 2,of whom 21(42%) were postoperatively classified as pathological stages T 3～T 4.Of the 26 cases who preoperatively had the Gleason scores of 2 to 6,11(42%) had postoperatively pathological grades of 7 to 10.Logistic regression analysis revealed that PSA( P =0.0159)at diagnosis and the percentage of positive biopsies of prostate ≥50%( P =0.0013) were significant predictors for preoperative clinical staging lower than postoperative pathological staging. Conclusions The results demonstrate that patients who were classified as clinical stages T 1～T 2 with PSA≥20 ng/ml and percentage of positive biopsies≥50% may have high possibility of under staging.

Objective To investigate the significance of serum IP-10 levels in different types of diabetic patients. Methods Serum IP-10 level in 78 cases with type 1 diabetes,49 cases with type 2 diabetes and 33 cases of healthy controls was measured with ELISA assays. Type 1 diabetic patients were divided into classic type 1 diabetes (n=39) and latent autoimmune diabetes in adults (LADA,n=39) according to their disease process,and they were also divided into autoimmune type 1 diabetes (n=58) and idiopathic type 1 diabetes (n=20).Type 2 diabetic patients,according to carotid intima-media thickness (IMT),were divided into patients with (n=24) or without atherosclerosis (n=25). Results 1) Serum IP-10 levels were not statistically different among type 1 diabetes,type 2 diabetes and healthy controls. 2) Serum IP-10 concentrations in autoimmune type 1 diabetes with positive islet autoantibody were higher than those in healthy controls(184.96?104.48pg/ml vs 146.10?74.61pg/ml,P=0.03);while there were no difference in type 1 diabetes with variable disease durations. 3) No difference in IP-10 levels was found between type 2 patients with(173.5?69.6pg/ml) and without atherosclerosis (188.5?79.7 pg/ml). Conclusions Serum IP-10 level is augmented in autoimmune type 1 diabetes.

The binding of altered HA308-317 peptides for HLA-DR4 molecules was assayed using flow cytometry. The suppressive effect of altered HA308-317 peptides on CII-mediated T cell proliferation was determined using 3H incorporation assay. The level of IL-2 in the supernatants was identified by ELISA. Objective To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of the imported malaria cases in 20 counties at the bor?der region of Yunnan Province from 2012 to 2014,so as to provide the evidence?based proof for adjusting the strategies in the elimination stage. Methods The malaria epidemic data of the 20 border counties in Yunnan Province from 2012 to 2014 were collected and analyzed by using Microsoft Excel 2010. Results From 2012 to 2014,a total of 1 558 malaria cases were report?ed in the 20 border counties in Yunnan Province,among which,1 336 were imported cases,accounting for 85.75%(1 336/1 558),and 222 were indigenous cases,accounting for 14.25%(222/1 558). The number of the imported cases in the above years took up 80.00%(544/680),89.10%(425/477)and 91.52%(367/401)of the total reported cases in the whole year,re?spectively. Among all the 1 336 imported cases,1 045(78.22%)were infected with Plasmodium vivax,284(21.26%)were in?fected with P. falciparum,3 were infected with P. malariae,3 were mixed infection and 1 was an unclassified case;2 patients died. And 95.58%of the cases were mainly infected in Myanmar(1 277 cases). Young and middle?aged adult of 20-40 years who worked overseas were the predominant(802 cases,60.03%)and most of the cases occurred from April to June of the year (679 cases,50.82%). Those cases mainly distributed in Tengchong(459 cases),Ruili(366 cases),Yingjiang(191 cases)and Mangshi(78 cases). Conclusions The epidemic situation of imported malaria is serious in the border region of Yunnan Prov?ince. Therefore,the surveillance system of malaria control needs to be well planned and managed to ensure timely case detection and prompt response at the elimination and post?elimination stage.

Objective To evaluate the curative effect of urokinase combined with low molecular heparin sodium in managing arteriovenous fistula embolism. Methods Toally 48 patients with arteriovenous fistula embolism treated from January 2014 to October 2015 were selected for the study, where 22 were assigned into control group and 26 as trial group according to the registration time. The former group were treated with urokinase and the latter with urokinase combined with low molecular heparin sodium. The rate of recanalization, the rate of thrombosis recurrence, and the adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The recanalization rate in the trial group was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). The rate of thrombosis recurrence in the trial group was significantly lower than that the control group. There was no statistical difference in adverse reactions between the groups. Conclusion The thrombolytic effect of urokinase combined with low molecular heparin sodium is superior to that of urokinase alone, with a higher rate of recanalization.
