1.Thinking of Emotional Counterbalance Therapy in Depression Clinical Experience
Journal of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University 2015;(2):95-97
Objective] To study emotional counterbalance therapy which is used in depression treatment ,it plays an important role in the treatment of emotional disorders. [Method] With the research methods of taking depression for example ,through the sad, fear of these two emotional factors to explore the pathogenesis of depression, and analyze“happiness restrains sadness“ and“thought restrains fear”in the emotional counterbalance therapy, which are used in the depression clinical application.[Result]Emotional counterbalance uses one or more of the emotions to regulate ,control, overcome the other one or more negative emotions, which based on the restriction among the five elements theory is a kind of psychological therapy.Sadandfearare the most common chief complaints in depression which belong to the emotional depression in depression disease of Chinese medicine. On the basis of “sad doing harm to the lungs”and “dread doing harm to the kidneys”,lung, kidney and depression etiology, pathogenesis, symptoms are closely related. This reflects the lung, kidney play an indispensable role in the treatment of depression. It has significant curative effects to apply the theory of emotion counterbalance, such as happiness restrains sadness, thought restrains fear to cure diseases. At the same time, with a relaxed and pleasant mood, actively guiding to help thinking is also the treatment of depression, pessimistic disappointment medicine.[Conclusion] According to the restriction among five elements theory,to use the relation and restriction between emotion and five zang-organs to regulate emotional disorders can restore to the normal balance, which is an effective psychological treatment for emotional disorders. The therapy should be used alone or combined with traditional Chinese medicine treatment in different situations to relive the treatment effect.

3.Discussion about re-evaluation of compound preparation of Chinese-Western medicine on post-marketing drug
Drug Evaluation Research 2017;40(5):577-585
In this paper, the management process of Chinese-Western medicine compound preparation is briefly reviewed.the existing problems were analyzed from the perspective of registration supervision and quality control. It is pointed out that there are still some types of management in the registration of supervision, such as the weak basic research, approval number of multiple pecifications, not uniform name, and not standardized specification. In the area of quality control, correlation analysis between the lack of key items (such as related substances, uniformity of contents, and dissolution test items) and the hidden dangers in medical security of preparations was performed. To explore the need for reevaluation, and put forward some suggestions for improvement in order to provide a useful reference for the scientific supervision of Chinese-Western medicine compound preparation.
4.Preparation of recombinant human soluble TRAIL and its inducing effect on apoptosis of tumor cells by TRAIL combined with bortezomib
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 2015;(11):1933-1942
[ ABSTRACT] AIM:To construct a prokaryotic expression plasmid to produce recombinant human tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand ( TRAIL) and to verify the biological activity of TRAIL.METHODS: The pro-karyotic expression plasmid pET-28a (+)-TRAIL114-281 was constructed.Human soluble TRAIL was obtained through opti-mized inducing protein expression and purification conditions. The biological activity of TRAIL was verified by CCK-8 as-say.The apoptosis-inducing effect of TRAIL alone and/or in combination with proteasome inhibitor bortezomib ( Velcade, PS-341) on the tumor cell lines H460 ( TRAIL-sensitive) and K562 ( TRAIL-resistance) for 24 h was determined. The ap-optotic rates of the cells were analyzed by flow cytometry with Annexin V-FITC/PI staining. The activities of caspase-8,-9 and -3 in the cells were detected by colorimetric method. The protein expression of Bax, Bcl-2 and cFLIP was measured by Western blot. The expression of DR4 and DR5 in the H460 cells and K562 cells after treated with bortezomib for 24 h was detected by flow cytometry.RESULTS:The recombinant human soluble TRAIL protein with stable bioactivity was success-fully acquired, which induced apoptosis in H460 cells and K562 cells. After treatment with different concentrations of TRAIL, the apoptotic rate of H460 cells was significantly increased with the increase in the concentration of TRAIL ( P<0.05), but the apoptotic rate of K562 cells was not affected by the increasing TRAIL concentration.Apoptotic rate in com-bination group was obviously higher than that in single group ( P<0.05 ) .In the process of apoptosis, the activities of caspase-8,-9 and -3 in H460 cells and K562 cells were both increased. The expression of Bcl-2 and cFLIP in treatment groups ( especially the combination group) was decreased compared with control group. No significant change of the Bax expression level was observed. The expression of DR4 and DR5 in the H460 cells and K562 cells was significantly up-regu-lated after treated with bortezomib ( P<0.05 ) .CONCLUSION: Bortezomib combined with recombinant human soluble TRAIL synergistically induces apoptosis in tumor cell lines H460 and K562 through initiating intrinsic apoptotic pathways by up-regulating death receptors DR4 and DR5, and reducing the expression of antiapoptotic proteins Bcl-2 and cFLIP.

International Eye Science 2017;17(10):1905-1907
AIM: To investigate the difference of cognitive impairment and depression between age-related macular degeneration ( AMD ) group and the control group patients. ·METHODS: A prospective case-control study was performed from November 2014 to August 2016 in the hospital for AMD patients and sex-matched control group. The Mini-Mental State Examination ( MMSE) and the Geriatric Depression Scale ( GDS ) score of each patient were collected for statistical analyzing. ·RESULTS: There were total 84 cases ( 168 eyes ) included in the study. The difference of visual acuity between the two group was statistically significant ( F=8. 953, P=0. 004) by baseline data analyzing. There were no significant differences in MMSE scores between the two groups according to educational status ( P>0. 05 ) , while the prevalence of cognitive impairment in each group was statistically significant (x2 =4. 14, P=0. 042). The difference of GDS scores, prevalence of total and mild depression between two groups were both statistically significant (F=5. 852, P=0. 018; x2=6. 372, P=0. 012; x2 = 5. 674, P = 0. 017 ). However, there was no statistically significant difference in the prevalence of moderate to severe depression (x2=0. 672, P=0. 412). ·CONCLUSION: AMD patients have a higher prevalence of depression. Although MMSE score differences were not statistically significant in subgroup analysis by educational levels, AMD patients are more likely to have cognitive impairment overall.
8.Toxic Effects of Brominated Flame Retardants on Human and Mammals
Journal of Environment and Health 1992;0(02):-
Brominated flame retardants (BFRs) are widely used industrial chemicals. Several BFRs were found to be at detectable level in the wildlife as well as in human, however, up to now there were few related papers which could be found for the adverse effects of BFRs on the wildlife, especially, on human. The recent research works on the biological effects of polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs), tetrabromobisphenol A (TBBPA) or derivates, hexabromocyclododecane (HBCD) and polybrominated biphenyls (PBBs) are reviewed in the present paper.

Objective To investigate the prevalence of dyslipidemia, hyperglycemia, hypertension and metabolic syndrome(MS)and compare the prevalence rate of dysilipidemia obtained in this study with the previous study during 1984--1986.Methods A total of 16 344 adults in Beijing who attended for the medical examinations were recruited in the study.Subjects were asked to complete questionnaires regarding personal health, lifestyle and family health history. The physical examination emphasized measurement of height, weight and blood pressure.Blood samples were collected after an overnight fast and subjected to serum glucose,TC,HDL-C,LDL-C and TG measurements.MS was diagnosed according to Diabetes Society of Chinese Medical Association(CDS)criteria. Results Dyslipidemia occurred in 36.9%(6 034)of subjects.948 hyperglycaemia cases were found. The prevalence rate of high blood glucose was 5.8%. Hypertension occurred in 17.1% of subjects.Obesity/Overweight occurred in 5 252 subjects with the prevalence rate of 32.1%.On the basis of the diagnostic criteria for MS in China.MS occurred in 12.2% of subjects(14.2% for males and 10.0% for females). In both genders, the rate increased along with the increment of age.65.5% participants had at least one of the metabolic disorders. The prevalence of hypercholesterolemia, hypertriglyceridemia, and abnormally low HDL-C were higher than previous analysis during 1984-1986 in all age groups. Conclusions The prevalence of MS in this large occupational population in Beijing was quite high. The prevalence of hypeflipemia had increased considerably over the past 20 years.Balanced nutrition and reasonable consumption should be undertaken to modify these situations.
