Objective To observe the effect of electroacupuncture on migraine. Methods 60 patients were divided into electroacupuncture group (30 cases) who received electroacupuncture, and control group (30 cases) who received local nerve block. Results In the electroacupuncture group, 22 (73.33%) cases were cured, 6 (20.00%) cases were obviously improved, 2 (6.67%) cases were improved. While in control group, 17 (56.67%) cases were cured, 5 (16.67%) cases were obviously improved, 8 (26.67%) cases were improved. There was significant difference between these two groups (P<0.05). The time of treatment was less in the electroacupuncture group than in the control (P<0.05). Conclusion Electroacupuncture is effective on migraine.

Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2015;32(6):1217-1222
Nowadays, for gait instability phenomenon, many researches have been carried out at home and abroad. However, the relationship between plantar pressure and gait parameters in the process of balance adjustment is still unclear. This study describes the human body adaptive balance reaction during slip events on slippery level walk by plantar pressure and gait analysis. Ten healthy male subjects walked on a level path wearing shoes with two contrastive contaminants (dry, oil). The study collected and analyzed the change rule of spatiotemporal parameters, plantar pressure parameters, vertical ground reaction force (VGRF), etc. The results showed that the human body adaptive balance reaction during slip events on slippery level walk mainly included lighter touch at the heel strikes, tighter grip at the toe offs, a lower velocity, a shorter stride length and longer support time. These changes are used to maintain or recover body balance. These results would be able to explore new ideas and provide reference value for slip injury prevention, walking rehabilitation training design, research and development of walking assistive equipments, etc.

Objective To investigate the different effects of different resection position of fibula on shape of tibiofibular syndesmosis, and explore the best position of cut fibula, providing reference for clinical surgeon to use fibula reasonably. Methods Ten adult male cadaverie specimens 172-176 cm long were used for 20 shank-ankle specimens.10 cm long fibula was cut proximally at the lower point 1/6,lower point 1/4,lower point 1/3,middle point 1/2 respectively, which was compared with the nornlal one to analyze the changes of shape of tibiofibular syndesmosis. Results Normally, the distance oftibiofibular syndesmosiswas(0.30±0.10)mm.Underthe condition of cut at the lower point 1/6,the distance of tibiofibular syndesmosis was enlarged[(0.54±0.20)mm](P<0.05).In contrast, under the condition of cut 10 cm long fibula proximally at the middle point 1/2.the distance of tibioffbu1ar syndesmosis hadlittle effect[(0.31±0.20)mm](P>0.05).Conclusion The best resection position of fibula is in the proximity of the fibula at the point 1/2.

Objective To evaluate the effect of hyperthermic intraperitoneal perfusion on blood coagulation in patients undergoing laparoscope-assisted radical surgery for gastric cancer. Methods Forty patients of both sexes, aged 40-60 yr, weighing 50-80 kg, of American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status Ⅰ or Ⅱ , undergoing elective radical surgery for gastric cancer, were equally randomized into control group (group C) and hyperthermic intraperitoneal perfusion group (group HIP).The patients were treated with hyperthermic intraperitoneal perfusion for 1 h after the end of the radical surgery in group R.Before induction of anesthesia (T0) , immediately before hyperthermic intraperitoneal perfusion (T1), and at 1 h of hyperthermic intraperitoneal perfusion (T2) , venous blood samples were collected, blood coagulation was measured using thromboelastography, and the reaction time, coagulation time, α angle and maximal amplitude were recorded. Results Compared with group C, no significant change was found in blood coagulation parameters at T0 and T1 (P>0.05), the reaction time and coagulation time were significantly increased, and α angle and maximal amplitude were decreased at T2 in group HIP (P<0.05).Conclusion Hyperthermic intraperitoneal perfusion can improve blood coagulation in the patients undergoing laparoscope-assisted radical surgery for gastric cancer.

Acute spinal cord injury can lead to severe motor,sen-sory and sphincter muscle dysfunction.Inflammatory response caused by inflammatory cytokines plays a crucial role in the oc-currence and development of secondary damage.Maintaining the body balance between inflammaion and anti-inflammation through an appropriate anti-inflammatory intervention will be an important strategy for drug therapy of spinal cord injury. This paper mainly introduces the cause, process and participation of inflammatory response in the pathophysiological mechanism of acute spinal cord injury, and also reviews the latest progress of experimental research of anti-inflammatory drugs, aiming to provide reference for finding the safe and effective drugs.

National Journal of Andrology 2014;20(4):354-358
OBJECTIVETo investigate the influence of histological prostatitis (HP) on the clinical features of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and prostate cancer (PCa) and its clinical significance.
METHODSWe retrospectively studied the data of 273 cases of BPH and 240 cases of PCa, including age, prostate volume, total prostatic special antigen (tPSA), prostatic special antigen density (PSAD), maximum urinary flow rate (MFR) and acute urinary retention (AUR).
RESULTSTotally, 186 cases of BPH (68.13%) and 45 cases of PCa (18.75%) were complicated by HP, with statistically significant difference between the two groups (P < 0.05). Compared with the patients with BPH only, those complicated by HP showed significantly elevated tPSA, PSAD and total prostate volume (all P < 0.05), decreased MFR (P < 0.05) and increased risk of AUR (P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in the patients' age between the two groups (P > 0.05). The levels of tPSA and PSAD were remarkably higher in the PCa patients complicated by HP than in those with PCa only (all P < 0.05), but no significant differences were found in the other indexes between the two groups (P > 0.05).
CONCLUSIONHP may play a certain role in the progenesis and progression of HP and PCa, but HP is associated more closely with BPH.

Objective To detect the expression intensity and distribution of minichromosome mainte-nance 2 protein (MCM-2) in normal skin and lesions of malignant and non-malignant hyperplasia. Methods Three groups of samples were collected, I.e., malignant group (including 15 cases of Bowen disease or highly differentiated squamous cell carcinoma of Grade Ⅰ or Ⅱ ), non-malignant group (including 4 cases of chro-momycosis, 2 cases of sporotrichosis, 5 cases of seborrheic keratosis, 4 cases of verruca vuigaris, 4 cases of chronic eczema, 4 cases of cutaneous fibroma), and normal group (10 cases of normal human control). The distribution and intensity of MCM-2 expression in the epidermis of these samples were assessed by immuno-histochemical SP method. Results The expression of MCM-2 was observed in basal and superbasal layer of epidermis in lesions of malignant and non-malignant hyperplasia, and only in epidermal basal layer in normal skin. A significant increment was observed in the density of MCM-2 positive cells in superbasal layer in malignant lesion compared with the non-malignant lesion. The epidermal expression level of MCM-2 in the non-malignant lesion was significantly lower than that in the malignant lesion, but higher than that in the normal skin (μ = -2.529, -3.705, respectively, both P < 0.05); the same was true for the proportion of MCM-2-postive basal cells. Conclusions The expression of MCM-2 protein varies with the proliferation status of epidermal cells, and may serve as an objective marker for epidermal cell proliferation.
