Objective To probe into the chnical value of strain rate imaging on the assessment of left atrial function in patients with hypertensive disorder comphcating pregnancy(HDCP).Methods Thirty two patients with HDCP and 20 control subjects were involved.Patients with HDCP were divided into 2 groups:17 with normal left ventricular mass index (LVMI) and 15 with left ventricular hypertrophy.These patients and controls underwent transthoracic echocardiography,strain and strain rate imaging examination.Atrial strain and strain rate imaging values of patients with HDCP were compared with those of controls.Multiple parameters were compared by one-way anova analysis.Results When compared with the controls,peak early diastolic strain rate (ESR) was significantly decreased in HDCP patients with normal LVMI and left ventricular hypertophy [(-1.13 ± 0.15),(-1.04 ± 0.29) s-1 vs.(-1.26 ± 0.23) s-1,P ＜ 0.05].Compared with the normal LVMI,peak late diastolic strain rate (ASR) was significantly decreased in controls and patients with left ventricular hypertrophy [(-1.23 ± 0.25) s-1 vs.(-1.36 ± 0.33),(-1.34 ± 0.32) s-1].There was no significant difference in the others (P ＞ 0.05).Conclusion Left atrial function is decreased in HDCP patients,which with left ventricular hypertrophy,the tendency is more obvious.

Objective To investigate the different expression of various subtypes of human leukocyte antigen-G(HLA-G)in placenta of patients complicated with severe pre-eclampsia.Methods Ten placental samples from early-onset severe pre-eclamptic pregnancies and ten from late-onset severe preeclamptic pregnancies were collected as study group; ten placental samples from preterm pregnancies and ten from normal pregnancies were collected as control group.The levels of HLA-G protein in the four groups were measured by western blot and immunohistochemistry.Results(1)HLA-G1 protein decreased significantly in both the early-onset(2.4 ± 0.6 versus 2.9 ± 1.1,P ＜ 0.05)and the late-onset pre-eclampsia groups (3.5 ± 2.1 versus 4.2 ± 2.4,P ＜ 0.05).(2)HLA-G5 protein increased in the late-onset pre-eclampsia groups(1.8 ± 1.1 versus 1.1 ± 0.9,P ＜ 0.05); the increase in the early-onset pre-eclampsia group is not obvious(1.6 ± 0.9 versus 1.4 ± 0.7,P ＞ 0.05).(3)The level of HLA-G1 protein in placenta from patients complicated with premature labor is lower(2.9 ± 1.1 versus 4.2 ± 2.4,P ＜ 0.05); HLA-G5 protein does not change significantly(1.4 ± 0.7 versus 1.1 ± 0.9,P ＞ 0.05).(4)HLA-G1 and G5 proteins mainly express in the placenta extravillous cytotrophoblast cells.There is also a high level of expression around the blood vessels and in the extraembryonic mesoderm.Conclusions(1)HLA-G1 decreased significantly in both the early-onset and late-onset pre-eclamptic patients.(2)HLA-G5 increased in both the early-onset and late-onset pre-eclamptic patients,and the increase in the late-onset pre-eclamptic patients is obvious.(3)In late pregnancy,the level of HLA-G1 is lower in patients complicated with premature labor,this may be the result of its earlier pregnancy week; HLA-G5 does not change significantly.(4)HLA-G1 and G5 mainly express in the placenta extravillous cytotrophoblast cells.

Objective To investigate clinical characteristics and outcomes of twin pregnancies complicated with growth discordance.Methods Five hundred and seventy-six twin pregnancies who delivered between January 1,2000 and July 31,2012 in Peking University First Hospital were retrospectively analyzed.Cases with twin-twin transfusion syndrome had been excluded.Fetal weight was estimated by abdominal circumference and femur length; neonatal birth weight was recorded.The weight difference between two babies was divided by the weight of the bigger one to obtain the differential ratio.Twin pregnancy complicated with growth discordance was diagnosed if the ratio was equal or greater than 25％ (discordance group,n=68),and growth concordance was diagnosed if the ratio was less than 25％ (concordance group,n=508).The incidence of twin pregnancies complicated with growth discordance was analyzed.The incidence of maternal complications,premature delivery,perinatal death and neonatal complications were compared between the two groups.Chisquare test and t test were used for statistical analysis.Results The incidence of twin pregnancies complicated with growth discordance was 11.8％ (68/576).The incidence of growth discordance in monochorionic twins was higher than that in dichorionic twins [17.6％ (40/227) vs 8.0％ (28/349),x2=11.40,P＜0.05].The gestational age at delivery in the discordance group was earlier than that in the concordance group [(35.6±4.1) weeks vs (36.6±3.2) weeks,t=-1.66,P＜0.05],and the incidence of premature delivery in the discordance group was higher than that in the concordance group [58.8％ (40/68) vs 47.6％ (242/508),x2=3.85,P＜0.05].The perinatal mortality in discordance group was higher than that in the concordance group [9.6％ (13/136) vs 4.7％ (48/1 016),x2=5.84,P＜0.05].Among babies in discordance group,the incidence of intracranial lesion in monochorionic twins was higher than that in dichorionic twins [20.9％ (14/67) vs 6.8％ (3/44),x2=4.06,P＜0.05].Conclusions Twin pregnancies with growth discordance are prone to adverse pregnancy outcomes.Prenatal care should be strengthened and fetal condition should be assessed timely.It is suggested that neonates should undergo overall checkup and long-term follow-up.

Objective Network emulation system constructs a virtual network environment which has the characteristics of controllable and repeatable network conditions. This makes it possible to predict the availability and performance of new protocols and algorithms before deploying to Internet. Methods PARNEM, a parallel discrete event network emulation system described in this paper has the following characteristics: ① BREEN - a BSP based real-time event scheduling engine; ② application transparent flexible interactive mechanism; ③ legacy network model reuse. Conclusion PARNEM allows detailed and accurate study of application behavior. Comprehensive case studies covering bottleneck bandwidth measurement and distributed cooperative web caching system demonstrate that network emulation technology opens a wide range of new opportunities for examining the behavior of applications.

Objective To study the effects of Danlong Xingnao Tablet on neuronal apoptosis and expression of TNF-? after focal cerebral ischemia reperfusion in rat hippocampus. Methods The model of middle cerebral arteries occlusion (MCAO) were performed with intraluminal filament blockade. By using in situ terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated dUTP-biotor nick end labeling (TUNEL) and immunohistochemistry staining, the number of apoptotic cells and TNF-? positive cells were detected in the sham-operated group, the ischemia reperfusion group, Danlong Xingnao Tablet group and nimodipine group after the middle cerebral arteries of SD rats occluded for 1 h and reperfused for 24 h.Results Compared with the sham operation group, the number of apoptotic cells and TNF-? positive cells of the model group increased significantly (P

OBJECTIVE:To establish a method for the determination of the dissolution of Qingyangshen dispersible tablets so as to provide method and parameters for quality control of this kind of tablets.METHODS:With water as dissolution medium in a rotating speed of 100 r?min-1,the dissolution of Qingyangshen dispersible tablets was determined by HPLC at a wavelength of 259 nm.RESULTS:Similar dissolution rates were obtained for 3 batches of Qingyangshen dispersible tablets,with accumulative dissolution rates of all samples at 45 minutes reached above 90%,and a good reproducibility was noted.CONCLUSION:The quality of Qingyangshen dispersible tablets is up to the standard stated in Chinese Pharmacopoeia(2005 Edition).

AIM To study if cholecystokinin octapeptide (CCK-8) alter cardiovascular functions by its direct inhibitory effect on carotid sinus baroreceptor (CSB) activity. METHODS The functional curve of carotid baroreceptor (FCCB) was constructed and the functional parameters of carotid baroreceptor were measured by recording sinus nerve afferent discharge in anesthetized male rats with perfused isolated carotid sinus. RESULTS ① CCK-8 0.1, 0.5 and 1.0 μmol·L-1 shifted FCCB to the right and downward, with a marked decrease in peak slope and peak integral value of carotid sinus nerve discharge in a concentration-dependent manner, indicating the inhibitory effect of CCK-8 on CSB activity. ② Pretreatment with proglumide (100 μmol·L-1), a nonselective CCK receptor antagonist, or Bay K8644 (0.5 μmol·L-1), an agonist of calcium channel, partially attenuated the inhibitory effect of CCK-8 (0.5 μmol·L-1) on CSB activity. Pretreatment with L-NAME (100 μmol·L-1), an inhibitor of NO synthase, did not affect the inhibitory action of CCK-8. CONCLUSION CCK-8 inhibits CSB activity, which may be mediated by activating CCK receptors in the carotid sinus area and thereby resulting in an inhibition of stretch-sensitive channels and decrease in Ca2+ influx.

Objective To investigate oxidative damage effect of the serum of severe preeclamptic patients on human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC).Methods (1) HUVEC were randomly divided into 4 groups according to the following:blank group as control,normal group added 20％ normal sera of pregnant women,group PE added 20％ sera of severe preeclamptic patients,and group PE + Cat added 20％ sera of severe preeclamptic patients plus 3 x 103 U/ml catalase.After cultured for 24 hours,the injury morphology and APO2.7 expression of HUVEC were detected by transmission electron microscopy and flow cytometry respectively.(2) Under the real-time scanning by laser scanning confocal microscopy,HUVEC were randomly divided into 4 groups according to the following:control group added 100 μmol/L H2O2 as positive control,normal group,group PE,and group PE + Cat.HUVEC of each group was scanned for 120 seconds to determine levels of reactive oxidative species (ROS),calcium homeostasis,and mitochondria membrane potential.Results (1) Obvious injury morphology of HUVEC was observed in group PE,and it was obviously improved by catalase in group PE + Cat.Percentage of HUVEC expressed APO2.7 was (37.8 ± 1.1) ％ in group PE,which was significantly higher than (13.4 ± 1.1) ％ in blank group or (13.5 ± 1.5) ％ in normal group,but significantly lower than (19.2 ± 1.6) ％ in group PE + Cat (all P ＜ 0.01).(2) The fluorescence intensity curves of intracellular ROS and calcium showed slowly rising in group PE,but no obvious changes in normal group and PE + Cat.The values of ROS and calcium in group PE (12.0±1.3,4.1 ±0.7) were higher than those in normal group (1.1 ±0.4,0.6 ±0.4),but lower than those in group PE + Cat (1.5 ± 0.5,0.9 ± 0.5 ; all P ＜ 0.01).Conclusion The serum of severe preeclamptic patients caused oxidative damage on HUVEC by increasing intracellular ROS generation,calcium overload,and decreasing mitochondrial membrane potential.

Objective To inve stigate in vestigate the effects of splenectomy on the expression of the PTEN gene in liver fibrosis of rats induced by biliary tract obstruction.Methods The liver fibrosis model was induced by bile duct ligation.Rats were randomly divided into 3 groups.Group A had bile duct ligation + splenectomy (BDL + SPL,45 rats),group B had bile duct ligation + spleen sham operation (BDL + SSP,45 rats),and group C had sham bile duct ligation + spleen sham operation (SBDL + SSP,45 rats).Liver tissue samples from each group were taken in weeks 1,3,and 5.HE and Sirius staining displayed the degree of liver fibrosis.Western-blot,real-time PCR,and immunohistochemistry SP measured the expression of α-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA) together with the expression of PTEN mRNA and PTEN protein.The relevance was also tested in this study.Results As time increased,liver fibrosis gradually occurred in group A and B,and the degree of liver fibrosis was more serious in group B than in group A.The expression volume of PTEN mRNA and PTEN protein in group A was higher than that in group B (P ＜ 0.05),while the expression volume of α-SMA was the opposite (P ＜ 0.05).The expression volume of PTEN mRNA and PTEN protein were negatively correlated to α-SMA (r =-0.86,P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion In the rat liver fibrosis model,splenectomy up-regulated the expression of the PTEN gene and reduced the secretion of α-SMA,thereby delaying the progression of liver fibrosis.

Objective To explore skeletal‐related events (SREs) clinical factors and analysis prognosis factors on patients with non‐small cell lung cancer(NSCLC) with bone metastases .Methods We collected clinical data of pathology confirmed 383 patients with non‐small cell lung cancer between April 2007 and January 2007 in the third affiliated hospital of the third military medical uni‐versity .It was used to screening for Emission Computed Tomography (ECT ) for bone metastases .And then it was need to con‐firmed for CT ,MRI or PET‐CT or pathology .Statistics in patients between clinical features and the SREs prediction factor with Univariate and Multivariate .And Kaplan‐Meier method analysis of survival in the non‐small cell lung cancer patients with bone me‐tastases .Results Out of 383 patients with bone metastases ,178 patients with SREs .The incidence was 46 .5% .Univariate analysis showed that women ,adenocarcinoma ,never smoking history ,single bone metastases ,bisphosphonate therapy ,targeted therapy in patients with bone metastases are less likely to have SREs ,it was considered statistically significant (P<0 .05) .Multivariate analy‐sis showed multiple bone metastases and no bisphosphonate therapy is independent risk factors for SREs .Median survival time was 14 .5 months in non‐small cell lung cancer patients with bone metastases ,1 year survival rate was 46 .5% ,2 years survival rate was 15 .9% .The survival analysis shows that more bisphosphonate treatment and bisphosphonate with EGFR‐TKI therapy on the prog‐nosis of patients with statistically significance (P<0 .05) .Conclusion It was likely to occur SREs in NSCLC patients with bone metastases .No bisphosphonate and multiple bone metastases are independent risk factors for SREs .Bisphosphonate treatment may prevent or reduce occur SREs for NSCLC patients with bone metastases ,and it may prolong survival ,it speculated that bisphospho‐nate may have resistant NSCLC cell activity .
