Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2014;13(5):529-533
Objective To discuss the efficacy of applying management-by-objectives(MBO) in the hospital-level nursing quality control group. Methods Goals of objective management and assessment details were set by leaders of quality control groups along with the nursing department at the beginning of the year. The nine subordinate groups performed upon the required criteria, completed the quality inspection on time and recorded group activities. At the end of the year, group leaders reported to the hospital-level nursing quality committee and head nurses about their performances, where several major honors were rewarded to the best performing groups.SPSS 17.0 software was used for data statistics. The measurement data were analyzed by paired t test data while enumeration data by chi-square test. Results Scores of assessment items were significantly raised after implementing MBO(P<0.05).Scores of key items, such as high quality care, emergency management, nursing skill, were increased to (98.1 ± 2.2),(97.7 ±2.7),(99.6±0.6),(96.1 ±2.1)from (93.6 ±2.5)(P=0.009),(93.0 ± 2.6) (P=0.009),(96.2 ± 1.3) (P=0.000) and (89.3 ± 4.5) (P--0.000),respectively.Care complaints were sharply dropped for all inpatient wards while numbers of management innovationand process reengineering were greatly increased (x2=8.884,P=0.031).Condusion Introduction of MBO in the hospital-level nursing quality control group does facilitate the continuous improvement of care quality.

Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis 2001;13(1):70-73
Objective To find out the present situation of complementary feeding, breast-feeding and children nutrition, and further explore the relationship between them. Methods Random sampling was adopted and 7302pairs of mothers and their children under 36 months were investigated by means of questionnaires. Results Breastfeeding rate was 96.8% ,but exclusive breast-feeding rate was only 37.6% . Breast-feeding rate over 12 months was 34.7% ,breast-feeding rate over 24 months was only 15.8%. Timely sucking rate was 8.4% ,19.2% of children had too early complementary feeding, 26.8% had too late, and 43. 1% had appropriate feeding . To the children over 6months, the feeding rates of meat and eggs per week were 36. 3% and 49. 3 % , respectively. The stunting-rate was 24.0%, underweight-rate 22. 1 % ,and wasting-rate 8. 9 %. The incidence rate of iron deficiency anemia (IDA) was 23.3 %. Multivariable analysis showed that growth of children was associated with diet diversity, intake frequency of eggs and meat, too early complementary feeding, prolonged breast-feeding and diarrhea, etc. Conclusion In rural areas of western China ,breast-feeding has been fundamentally popularized ,however ,the unfit complementary feeding and malnutrition of children under 36 months are common and serious ,important complementary feeding recommendations and good hygiene condition are strongly needed.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2001;0(07):-
Objective To investigate the clinical effects of trophic feeding in preterm infants. Methods 93 preterm infants with asphyxia, prenatal asphyxia or respiratory distress syndrome who could not receive routine feeding were enrolled in this study. These patients were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group. The hospitalized days, the time of tolerating milk feeding, regaining the birth body weight and discontinuing intravenous infusion were compared between the two groups. Results Compared with the control group, the hospitalized days, the time of tolerating milk feeding, regaining the birth body weight and discontinuing intravenous infusion in the treatment group decreased by 4 76?1 81, 3 22?0 50, 2 71?0 95 and 2 68?1 09 days, respectively(P

Journal of Chinese Physician 2001;0(02):-
Objective To investigate the relationship between IL-18 and apoptosis in patients with SLE by using testing the changes of IL-18 and soluble Fas/soluble Fas ligand in sera from the patients. Methods 58 patients with SLE were divided into three groups according to their SLEDAI score;sera from 58 patients, and 30 normal controls were tested for IL-18 and sFas/sFasL using ELISA assay. Results The level of IL-18 and sFas in sera from SLE patients was significantly higher than that of normal controls(P0 05).Besides,the increased level of IL-18 was correlated well with the increased level of sFas (?=0 496,P0 5).Conclusion The increased level of IL-18 may result in the elevation of serum sFas/sFasL in patients with SLE.They may play important roles in the pathogenesis of SLE.

Objective To compare the efficacy of oral rehydration salts(ORS),health education and autonomic nervous activity training with health education and autonomic nervous activity training on children with postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS).Methods Fifty-two children with POTS based on head-up test or head-up tilt test were divided into ORS treatment group and conventional treatment group.ORS treatment group included 33 children, and they received ORS and health education and autonomic nervous activity training therapy.Conventional treatment group included 19 children who received health education and autonomic nervous activity training therapy only.Telephone follow-ups were made after the therapy for 1-3 months. The contents of follow-up were the compliance of ORS treatment, the implementation of health education and POTS related symptom frequency. Results 1.The compliance of doctor's advice in ORS treatment group was better than that in the conventional treatment group.2.There was no significant difference in the symptom scores before therapy between ORS treatment group and conventional treatment group [(6 ± 3) scores in ORS treatment group vs (5 ± 3) scores in conventional treatment group,t =0.799,P > 0.05].After 1 to 3 months therapy, the symptom scores were significantly lowered in both groups. The symptom scores in ORS treatment group was lower than those of the conventional treatment group[(2 ± 1) scores in ORS treatment group vs(3 ± 1)scores in conventional treatment,t =-2.189,P < 0.05].3.If the therapy was determined to be effective when the symptom scores decreased by at least 2 scores, the effective rate in ORS treatment group was significantly higher than that of the conventional treatment group(78.8% in ORS treatment group vs 42.1% in conventional treatment group,x2 =7.169,P < 0.01).Conclusions The efficacy of ORS,health education and autonomic nervous activity training therapy is better than that of the health education and autonomic nervous activity training therapy only in POTS children.

Chinese Journal of Applied Physiology 2007;23(2):221-226
AIMTo investigate the effects of c-myb on progesterone-induced mouse germinal vesicle(GV) stage denuded oocyte (DO) maturation in vitro.
METHODSWe used mouse GV stage oocyte cultured with special concentration progesterone, or/and antisense c-myb ODN, or/and db-cAMP, or/and heparin for 24 h, and observed oocyte maturation and analysed the relationship among them.
RESULTSWe cultured DO in the medium 199 for 24 h, and found 10 micromol/L progesterone had more significant effect than 5 micromol/L progesterone (2 h GVBD% P < 0.05, 8 h PB 1% P < 0.05), but had not more significant effect than 20 micromol/L progesterone. We found that 16 micromol/L antisense c-myb ODN significantly inhibited progesterone (10 micromol/L)-induced mouse germinal vesicle stage oocyte maturation in vitro (2 h GVBD% P < 0.05, 8 h PBI% P < 0.01). 1 x 10(-4) micromol/L dbcAMP, 100 microg/ml heparin could single significantly inhibited progesterone-induced mouse GV stage oocyte maturation in vitro (2 h PBI% all P < 0.01, 8 h PBI% all P < 0.01), and could enhanced the inhibition of 16 micromol/L antisense c-myb ODN (2 h GVBD% all P < 0.01, 8h PBI% all P < 0.01).
CONCLUSIONProgesterone, protooncogene c-myb,cAMP and calcium all pay important role in regulating oocyte maturation and the mechanism of progesterone, cAMP and calcium in regulating oocyte maturation may be through the expression of protooncogene c-myb.
