Objective To observe and evaluate the effect of ultrasound guided percutaneous ethanol injection for hyperparathyroidism secondary to chronic renal failure. Methods Fifty-three patients with secondary hyperparathyroidism in Nanjing General Hospital Military Command from January 2011 to May 2013 were treated by percutaneous ethanol injection. The echogenicity, size and blood supply of parathyroid glands were observed by color Doppler ultrasound before and after treatment. Parathyroid hormone (PTH) and volumes of parathyroid glands were analyzed and compared with non-paired t test. Results Before treatment, the parathyroid gland volume was (5.28±0.84) cm3. The enlarged parathyroid glands had homogeneous hypoechogenicity and abundant blood supply, and the PTH was (1041.6±37.1) ng/L. After treatment, the size of solitary parathyroid gland was (3.93±0.67) cm3 which did not change significantly compared with that before treatment. The echogenicity of parathyroid glands enhanced and blood supply decreased after injection ethanol into solitary parathyroid. PTH [(509.2±27.6) ng/L] decreased obviously (t=3.792, P < 0.05). Conclusion Color Doppler ultrasound guided percutaneous injection of ethanol has an important role in the treating of secondary hyperparathyroidism and the curative effect can be observed timely.

BACKGROUND: FG loop (FGL) is a core active peptide fragment of neural cell adhesion molecule (NCAM), which can directly act on fibroblast growth factor receptor 1 (FGFR1) to activate NCAM signal pathway.OBJECTIVE: To observe the effects of synthetic peptides FGL on PC12 cells proliferation and apoptosis.METHODS: ①PC12 cells proliferation and apoptosis: The cultured PC12 cells were divided into control group and experiment group. The experimental group was added with 1% FGL peptide solution. The control group was pre-coated with poly-lysine plates. The cells were cultured 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 d respectively to detect cell proliferation by using Cell Counting Kit-8. ②PC12 apoptosis and nuclear factor kappa B mRNA detection: The PC12 cells were divided into normal group, experimental group and injury group. H2O2 was added into the injury group for 16 hours stimulation. In the experimental group, H2O2 and FGL were used for 16 hours stimulation. The cell apoptosis were detected by flow cytometry; mRNA expression of nuclear factor kappa B was detected by quantitative fluorescent polymerase chain reaction.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: PC12 cells cocultured with FGL peptide grow well, which indicates that FGL peptides can promote PC12 cell proliferation and inhibit PC12 cell apoptosis, as well as decrease mRNA expression of nuclear factor kappa B.

Objective :
To investigate the AIDS-related knowledge and behaviors and health service demand among secondary vocational school students in Shanghai Municipality, so as to provide the evidence for formulating the HIV/AIDS health education and behavioral interventions among secondary vocational school students.
Methods :
Three secondary vocational schools were randomly sampled in Shanghai Municipality using a stratified cluster sampling method from September to November in 2019, and grade was stratified in each school. Then, a class was sampled from each grade, and all students in this class were sampled. Participants' demographics, AIDS-related knowledge, sexual behaviors, and health service needs for AIDS control were collected using questionnaires and descriptively analyzed.
Results :
Totally 2 078 questionnaires were allocated, and 2 022 questionnaires were recovered, including 2 013 valid questionnaires (99.55%). The respondents had a median age of 16 years (interquartile range, 2 years), and included 1 366 men (67.86%). A low awareness rate was found for “Self-testing may understand HIV/AIDS infection status” (40.83%) and “Mosquito bites fail to transmit HIV” (37.95%). There were 182 respondents with sexual behaviors (9.04%), including 47 respondents with use of condoms during each sexual behaviors (25.82%), 20 respondents with multiple sexual partner behaviors simultaneously (10.99%), and 21 respondents that had received HIV testing (11.54%). There were 807 respondents with questions about sex and reproductive health (40.09%), and 852 respondents that wished to acquire answers from professional network platforms and professionals (42.32%).
Conclusions
The awareness of HIV/AIDS transmission route and use of condoms is low among secondary vocational students in Shanghai Municipality, and there are high-risk behaviors for HIV/AIDS among students. The secondary vocational school students are most eager to obtain the answers from professional institutions and professionals if there are questions about sex and reproductive health.

AIM: To evaluate the effect of cardiac pacing with a His bundle lead on cardiac electrophysiological and haemodynamical action in dogs and the experience of location technique with His bundle pacing lead. METHODS: With opening chest operation in general-anesthetized dogs, a special lead was located at His bundle based on a typical "H" wave and narrow duration of the QRS wave recorded in ECG; Platinum leads were fixed at the epicardium of the right ventricular apex (RVA) respectively, forming HisB- VVI pacing,RVA- VVI pacing. Cardiac electrophysiological and haemodynamical parameters were compared in sinus rhythm and the different pacing models. RESULTS: The threshold of HisB pacing is similar to that of RVA pacing. Cardiac output(CO)is increased about 18.81% in HisB- VVI pacing than self. It is decreased about 5.41% in RVA- VVI pacing. SV is similar to self, but it is 25.59% higher in HisB- VVI than RVA- VVI . LVSW and RVSW in His B- VVI pacing is superior to that in RVA- VVI . CONCLUSION: His bundle pacing significantly improves cardiac function compared with the RVA- VVI pacing because it can maintain normal physiological electronic activation sequence and systolic synchrony and have a better haemodynamics effect.neral-anesthetizeddogs,as
