Chinese Journal of Laboratory Medicine 2013;36(7):662-664
Persister bacteria have the characteristic of phenotypic resistance to the anfimicrobial drugs. The presence of such persister bacteria is considered to be one of the major causes for lengthy therapy and treatment failure.Persister bacteria are a group of special subpopulation of bacteria, and have the characteristics different from the ordinary bacteria and resistant mutants. With the improvement of scientific research and technology in recent years,we get a better understanding of persister bacteria. This paper reviewed the research progress on the characteristics of persister bacteria, formation mechanism, the impact of the clinical treatment and drug development The paper also provided the basis for diagnosis, prevention and treatment of the persister bacteria.
3.Changes of heart rate variability during laparoscopic cholecystectomy
Chinese Journal of Minimally Invasive Surgery 2001;0(01):-
Objectives To study the effects of anesthesia, head-up position and CO 2 pneumoperitoneum on cardiac autonomic nerve evaluated by heart rate variability (HRV) during laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Methods 20 patients undergoing elective laparoscopic cholecystectomy were anesthetized with balanced anesthesia. Pneumoperitoneum was introduced by inflation of CO 2. Intra-abdominal pressure was maintained at (11~13) mmHg. HRV was measured in supine and head-up tilt (15?~20?) positions while the patients were awake, in the stable state of anesthesia and CO 2 pneumoperitoneum at 10 minute and 20 minute respectively. Power spectral analysis of HRV was conducted on 256-beat R-R interval segments of interpolated heart rate by using the fast Fourier transformation. Total spectral power (TP), low frequency power (LF) and high frequency power (HF) were calculated by integrating the power spectra between (0~0 5) Hz, (0 03~0 15)Hz and ( 0 15~0 35)Hz. Results The change of positions did not significantly influence HRV. Decreases in LF, HF and TP were noted during the maintenance of anesthesia. The power of LF, the normalized unit of LF and LF/HF ratio increased during inflation period. LF/HF increased from 2 15?1 16 to 4 61?2 04 ( q =4 491, P

Objective To study action mechanism of rhamnocitrin in Oxytropis Falcata on enhance the immune function. Methods Kunming mice were randomly divided into blank control group, model group, positive control group, traditional Chinese medicine high, medium, and low dose groups. All treatment groups received gavage with relevant medicine for 10 days. From the 8th day, blank control group received intraperitoneal injection with normal saline, while other groups received intraperitoneal injection with cyclophosphamide for 3 days. Through macrophages carbon clearance test, macrophage phagocytosis of chicken erythrocytes test, and immunosuppressive mice organ index detection, effects of rhamnocitrin in Oxytropis Falcata on nonspecific immune function of immunosuppressive mice were observed. Results Compared with model group and blank control group, traditional Chinese medicine high, medium, and low dose groups could improve the phagocytic activity of immunosuppressive mice, clearance index, and phagocytic coefficient (P<0.05), and increase the organ index of the thymus and spleen. Compared with the positive control group, the efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine high, medium, and low dose groups was low. Conclusion Rhamnocitrin in Oxytropis Falcata can enhance the immune function, improve the formation of spleen cells of mice serum hemolysin of chicken red blood cell immune.

Journal of Third Military Medical University 1988;0(05):-
Objective To explore the effect of macrophage colony stimulating factor (M-CSF) on lung cancer cell line A549. Methods After M-CSF at 0.1, 1 and 10 ng/ml was given to cultured A549 cells for 0, 24, 48, 72 and 92 h respectively, their morphological changes were observed with inverted microscopy, proliferation was measured by MTT assay, and cell cycles were determined by flow cytometry. RT-PCR was used to detect the change of expression of M-CSF receptor. Result The growth of A549 was significantly inhibited by M-CSF in a concentration- and time- dependent manner. The maximum response was obtained at 10 ng/ml of M-CSF. Flow cytometric analysis revealed that the treated A549 cells arrested at the G0/G1 phase of the cell cycle. RT-PCR showed that the mRNA expression of M-CSF receptor was reduced after the M-CSF treatment. Conclusion M-CSF has an anti-tumour activity on lung cancer cell A549.
