Objective To evaluate the value of peripheral blood neutrophil CD_(64) level for early diagnosis of neonatal septicemia. Methods Thirty-six cases of neonatal septicemia were recruited into the study according to diagnostic criteria for neonatal septicemia:white blood cell count,C-reactive protein(CRP),platelet count,micro-erythrocyte sedimentatio rate(mESR) and blood culture;26 cases of hospitalized neonates with non-infectious diseases were enrolled as controls. The level of peripheral blood neutrophil CD_(64) was measured by flow cytometry. Results The level of peripheral blood neutrophil CD_(64) in septicemia patients were(60.37?22.70)mean fluorescence intensity(MFI),which were significantly higher than that of control group(23.14?5.10)MFI(P

Microbiology 1992;0(01):-
The volatile oils of endophyte isolates R1 (Acremonium sp.) and R2 (Acremonium sp.) from Aqui-laria sinensis were extracted by solvent method. Twenty and sixteen ingredients were identified from the volatile oils of R1 and R2 by GC-MS, respectively. Fatty acids, such as oleic acid, linoleic acid, hexa-decanoic acid etc., were the main components, whereas terpenoids like 1,8-cineole, zingiberene, ar-curcumene were also found in both oils. It’s the first report about the volatile oil constituents of endophyte isolates from A. sinensis.

Objective To investigate the biological markers and their clinical significance in diagnosis and differential diagnosis of inlfammatory bowel disease (IBD) in children. Methods The study had 22 cases of IBD including 6 cases of ulcerative colitis (UC) and 16 cases of Crohn’s Disease (CD). Twenty-four children without IBD were selected as controls. The serum perinuclear anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (pNACA) was measured by indirect immune lfuorescence method. The serum anti-saccharomyces cerevisiae antibody (ASCA) IgG and IgA, anti-B mannose glycoside antibody (AMCA) IgG, anti-B glycoside sugar shell antibody (ACCA) IgA, Anti-bacterial lfagellin antibody (Anti-cBir1) IgG, and the fecal calprotectin (FC) were determined by Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Results The positive rate of serum pANCA was 100% in 6 cases of UC while it was negative in CD cases and control, and there was significant difference among three groups (P0.01). In CD cases, both positive rate of serum ACCA IgA and that of Anti-cBir1-IgG were 62.5% and the positive rate of ACCA IgA was 37.5%. Meanwhile, all of them were negative in UC cases and control. There were signiifcant differences among three groups (P<0.01). The positive rate of FC was 100% in children with IBD. It was signiifcantly higher than the positive rate in control group, 54.2% (P0.01).Conclusion The serum pANCA is a speciifc index for the diagnosis of UC. The serum ACCA IgA, AMCA IgG, ASCA IgG and IgA, and Anti-cBir1 IgG were speciifc to some extent in the diagnosis of CD. Increased FC can relfect the activity of IBD, but cannot be used for the differential diagnosis of IBD and non IBD.

Objective To provide anatomical basis for the free saphenous branch of descending genicular artery flap and evaluate its clinical outcomes for the hand soft-tissue defects. Methods Fifteen fresh cadavers injected with lead oxide-gelatin mixture for three-dimensional visualization reconstruction using a spiral computed tomography scanner. The origin, course and distribution of the perforators of descending genicular artery were observed. From January 2005 to October 2011,seven patients with skin defect on the distant limbs were treated. The flap size was 5 cm × 6 cm-11 cm × 14 cm,vascular pedicle length 5.4 (4-7)cm. ResultsThe saphenous branch was consistent. It arised from the descending genicular artery (68%) or femoral artery(32%).The diameter of the saphenous branch was 1.5(1.1-1.7)mm at its origin above 9.0(4.0-16.0)cm from the medial epicondylar.Seven cases of flaps all survived, the average followup of 28 months, close to hand flap of skin texture, some sensory recovery,two-point discrimination 8-12mm. Conclusion Free saphenous branch of descending genicular artery flap is a reliable option for the treatment of soft tissue defect in hands. The pedicles were invariable of anatomy, thickness of the flaps is comparable, and procedure is simple and time saving.

Chinese Journal of Nuclear Medicine 2011;31(6):386-389
ObjectiveTo evaluate the diagnostic performance of bone SPECT and CT fusion imaging in bone metastases from pediatric neuroblastoma.MethodsTwenty-four pediatric patients with neuroblastoma were included in this retrospective study. All patients underwent planar imaging and SPECT integrated with CT.Lesion visibility, diagnostic certainty and diagnostic performance were evaluated with KolmogorovSmirnov test andx2 test.ResultsLesion visibility of SPECT alone,SPECT integrated with CT were significantly better than that of planar imaging ( both H =69.000,P < 0.05 ).SPECT and CT fusion imaging,SPECT alone both detected five more bone lesions than planar bone imaging (77 vs 72).The diagnostic accuracy of SPECT imaging (62.34%,48/77 )was significantly higher than that of planar imaging (45.45%,35/77; x2 =4.416,P < 0.05 ).The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of SPECT and CT fusion imaging for diagnosing malignant bone lesions were significantly higher than those of planar imaging:82.35% (42/51) vs 53.19% ( 25/47),88.46% ( 23/26 ) vs 40.00% ( 10/25 ),84.42% ( 65/77 ) vs 45.45% (35/77 ; x2 =12.571,14.016,25.667,all P < 0.01 ).The diagnostic specificity and accuracy of SPECT and CT fusion imaging were significantly higher than those of SPECT alone ( 53.85%,14/26 ;62.34%,48/77) (x2 =7.589,9.606,both P <0.01 ).However, there was no significant difference of sensitivity between the two methods (x2 =2.942,P > 0.05 ).Diagnostic certainty by SPECT and CT fusion imaging was significantly higher than that by SPECT alone ( H =28.000,P < 0.05 ) and by planar imaging (H =21.000,P < 0.05).ConclusionSPECT and CT fusion imaging can detect more bone lesions in patients with pediatric neuroblastoma. It is helpful for diagnosing bone metastases from pediatric neuroblastoma.

Chinese Journal of Perinatal Medicine 2021;24(3):230-232
We describe the prenatal diagnosis and postnatal follow-up of a fetus with a pericallosal lipoma diagnosed by MRI. The pregnant woman was admitted to Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University in February 2019. MRI examinations with multiple sequences and imaging methods were performed prenatally at 31 +6 and 38 +3 weeks of gestation, and at two days and three months postnatally. The MRI images showed that the corpus callosum was normal and the lesion was located around the corpus callosum, with high signal intensity on T1 weighted imaging, medium-to-high signal intensity on T2 weighted imaging, and low signal intensity on fat suppression sequence. No abnormal blood vessels were found on susceptibility-weighted imaging and time-of-flight magnetic resonance angiography sequences. Based on the prenatal and postnatal MRI findings, the tumor was clinically diagnosed as a pericallosal lipoma.
